  1. [19:46] After checking the time the dryad proceeded with digging the hilt of her staff into the ground before clearing her throat and addressing the group of students that appeared on her lesson.
  2.
  3. "Welcome all of you that showed on the Introduction to Nature magic, I am Agava, dryad teacher of the Academy. I will be bringing you through steps towards learning what the nature magic is, how to progress towards using it and why is it different than most types of magic you use." she introduced herself briefly with a warm smile on her face while eyeing everyone present.
  4.
  5. "To begin, let us all get to know one another and their decision to attend today's lesson so we can know where we all are." the dryad calmly nudged the class to try and learn her student names and motives.
  6. (Agava)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [19:47] All the introductions again.. their tail twitches nervously.
  10.
  11. "I ah... Want to learn more Nature magic because I feel the most comfortable in nature.."
  12. (Taylor Morvan)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [19:48] Tahl had gotten to the class rather early, she likes miss Agava, and enjoys the dryad hill, it's where she spent much of her time with her friend Tilia, Unfortunately recently, Tilia decided to head back home and become an NPC.
  16.
  17. She sits there with a smile upon her face listening to Agava. "I'm Tahldrig of house Animus. I don't specifically want to learn nature magic to use it. I want to learn about it so that I'm able to share that knowledge with others. Plus, in tandem with the medical courses Sugarboy is teaching, I think it'd be a good idea to learn about nature since nature gives us the healing herbs."
  18. (Tahldrig)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [19:49] Bit like... though not as much as last time around.
  22.
  23. Not saying much, the fifteen years old merely waddles over, plopping down against one of the numerous trees nearby. A blink, and then those lips finally part.
  24.
  25. "Elyon. Just want to know how it works, and whatnot... elements are easy to understand, but more complex magic can be kind of fun to learn about; like Nature, or Cosmic arts, I guess."
  26. (Elyon Hirai)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [19:51] Normally, he skipped class. And sitting in the dirt, Samael really wasn't sure what possessed him to join this class, of all of them.
  30.
  31. Maybe it was his tentative knowledge of nature magic, already. He touched his finger against a blade of grass on the ground and it immediately turned brown, wilting until he quickly lift his hand away from it, hoping no one else in the class had noticed. Nature did not tend to go the way he wanted it to.
  32.
  33. "Samael," he mumbled, keeping his hands in the dirt rather than touching any of the greenery, "Yeah, whatever, just wanted to learn about it for knowledge or whatever the rest of them said...."
  34.
  35. He gestured vaguely towards the others with no ability in the magic itself, like he could blend in that way.
  36. (Samael)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [19:52] The young boy arrived at the class early, finally! he felt in his heart an accomplishment.
  40.
  41. He took a seat in the grass, and glance up to the Dryad that was speaking in the top of the mountain.
  42.
  43. Taking out his hat and placing his animal in the ground he would take out some sheet of papers to start doing his usual notes.
  44.
  45. ''My name is Relim, nice to meet you all, I'm from the house of Eleos. '' His eyes shifted between the others...and back to the Dryad.
  46.
  47. ''I wanna learn Nature magic, 'cause it's the only thing i can remember about my mom...Also, i have a little Garden and i wanna take better care of it.''.
  48. (Relim)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [19:53] Agava smiled while listening to everyone present only to look towards Vi and offer her to join in.
  52. (Agava)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [19:54] Vimilha ran over to the Dryad hill late. Looking at the small class, and seeing Agava welcome her, she asked,
  56. "W-what's happened so far?.. Sorry.."
  57. (Vimilha)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [19:54] Tahldrig says, "Introductions and why you're in the class Vi."
  61. [19:55] Vimilha says, "Oh, um... I'm Vimilha.. I'm attending because... I like to learn all I can about different magic.."
  62. [20:13] Following Vimilha's introduction the dryad clapped her hands and bowed her head in polite manner as if to acknowledge everyones introduction and reasons behind joining her class. She then proceeded to slowly sit down and address them with her usual calm tone.
  63.
  64. "Thank you for your lovely introductions, everyone has their reasons to be here but some of you brought very interesting points behind their arrival. Indeed, unlike most elemental magic Nature is not as simple as learning how to manipulate it to wield it, in fact using it that way is an easy path towards situation where the nature will aim to overpower you as you try to force your rule over it." she said while extending one of her bark covered palms out, presenting it to the others before allowing for a small stalk to grow out of it and produce an acorn on it.
  65.
  66. "Similarly to cosmic magic you form a certain bond, though unlike for cosmic magic this bond is not with one of the starts but with all of nature. To most, nature is but bunch of plants that grow around us, feeding us, providing shelter, materials and air we breathe with." Agava kept speaking with her eyes venturing through her students only to gently grip the acorn, surrounding it with a faint green hue of her mana just before it cracked open with a small sprout rising from it.
  67.
  68. "In fact, nature is collection of living entities, each existing with one another in symbiosis, each with its own purpose, keeping the world in balance and each intertwined to form what surround us on daily basis. To properly use it one has to learn how it exists, be it through individual plants or as a collective, earning its respect and helping with maintain balance in the world."
  69. (Agava)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [20:16] Tahldrig pulls out a notepad when Agava begins talking and begins jotting down notes, with the mention of it being similar to cosmic magic, Tahl tilted her head, she is after all a cosmic magi. A wide smile forms upon her face as she watches Agava begin to grow a tree right in her very hand! Once her notes are finished, Tahl asks "What is it that a nature magi forms a bond to? Is it simply to any plant? Any tree? Or is there something greater?"
  73. (Tahldrig)
  74. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  75.
  76. [20:17] How do mages even control the living entities-- these forces? Is there direct communication like with stars?
  77.
  78. Question he wanted to put forward, but...
  79.
  80. There's an awkward way the fifteen years old would pull himself back up, shifting about, before those lips finally part.
  81.
  82. "Sorry, miss Avaga, I'd need to run... got something to tend to, doubt I'd be able to finish the class-- or stay for longer. Is that okay?"
  83.
  84. A brief pause as he'd take a step over to the side.
  85.
  86. Truth be told, he was looking forward to the lesson, as well as, well, the token, but...
  87. (Elyon Hirai)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [20:19] Agava nods faintly towards Elyon.
  91. (Agava)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [20:19] They remove some paper from her pack and begin to write, though their handwriting was absolutely appalling for any who saw it.
  95.
  96. "They.. they form a bond to life..?"
  97. (Taylor Morvan)
  98. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  99.
  100. [20:22] Vimilha listened to the Dryad speak. It felt a bit odd to her that nature magic required a connection to nature, a little like cosmic magic. Helping maintain balance also seemed to throw a tiny wrench into her thoughts.
  101.
  102. When she got a chance, she spoke,
  103. "So... what about the healing tree I've seen nature magi summon?.. It dies... soon after they grow it.. What does that have to do with nature's balance?.."
  104. (Vimilha)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106.
  107. [20:22] Relim nods from time to time while the Dryad speaks, he will write some notes in the sheet of paper in front of him.
  108.
  109. The teenager's eyes will look at Agava and glance from time to time to hear the other students' inquiry.
  110.
  111. ''Ah! so one needs to be one with Nature, isn't it? '' He asked to himself and glances over at the Dryad.
  112.
  113. ''Do you think that learn Water and earth magic could help to help the plants grow? I have a garden, so for me to help the flowers grow I need to prepare the soil and give them water from time to time...so do I need those magic or are they helpful?''
  114. (Relim)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [20:23] Pulling his legs closer to him to sit in a more cross-legged fashion, Samael really did try to focus on what the dryad was teaching. He didn't write any notes because he really wasn't very good at reading or writing, so instead he just... tried to focus. He tried not to look around at his classmates, or at the trees, or at the crumbling dirt beneath his fingertips....
  118.
  119. It was difficult not to be so distracted.
  120.
  121. He felt no such connection, as his fingers curled against the dirt.
  122.
  123. A few others were asking questions once the dryad finished her instructions, so he made his attempt next.
  124.
  125. "What about, like... toxins? Natural poisons," he trailed off, because he knew the poisonous spores were naturally occuring in nature, but he wasn't entirely sure how they'd relate to anything she said.
  126. (Samael)
  127. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  128.
  129. [20:47] There was a clear confusion with what Agava tried to pass to her students, leaving her to work towards addressing what her students appeared to have problems with understanding, continuing her lesson with her usual calm tone.
  130.
  131. "You can start the bond with one plant, learning how it functions and what role it has in the system can lead towards understanding how other plants function and why they exist. Such plants can become a foundation towards what you would wield, with respect and understanding you form while growing said plant with your powers and seeds you might possess." Agava said while humming and allowing for a mandrake to sprout from her shoulder, allowing it to wander among the students for a while before it finally rooted and merged with the soil.
  132.
  133. "Balance... plants on their own take days to sprout, weeks to grow, months to replicate, form fruits and wither if they exist in climate that has seasons. Trees around us take years to grow on their ownto their current sizes, they feed through roots from the ground, they shed their leaves to start a cycle anew. Our magic impacts this balance and reason most of plants created by nature magi wither is because of few reasons." the dryad continued to explain just before rising her clenched hand and allowing for one finger to rise.
  134.
  135. "For one, certain variety and quantity of plants exist together in an area, maintaining a balance of the environment for themselves, insects and fauna that exists in same area to ensure that world remains at state where life can continue to exist, smaller plants, flowers and fruits offer nourishments necessary for insects to exist who help with pollinating and spreading certain plants around, similarly comes for animals that exist in the area, they live, feed off and upon death become a food for everything around them in cycle of life and balance." the dryad said before rising a second finger.
  136.
  137. "For second, plants raised by nature magic feed of mana they provide, the moment the flow is cut or surplus of the mana provided dries out, the plant proceeds through amplified decay as it tries to sustain itself through its own existence up till a point where nothing is left." Agava finished her explanation before adding one last piece to answer Samael's question.
  138.
  139. "Toxins come as one of properties of plants, some are their defensive mechanisms, others are side effects of the processes taking place within them, another are spores that to exist became toxic to ensure their existence."
  140. (Agava)
  141. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142.
  143. [20:50] Tahldrig continues to jot down various notes upon the topic of nature magic, how the bond can start with one plant and then spread into others, just like a plant growing. While she remains quiet she does nod her head waiting to hear what's next.
  144. (Tahldrig)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [20:54] It was increasingly difficult to pay attention, but Samael was really putting in an effort to. Plants, plants, plants... he didn't care enough about plants to absorb the information properly, leaning back on his palms and exhaling. It was only when she finally answered his question did he refocus, giving a short nod in response.
  148.
  149. A defense mechanism made sense, he guessed.
  150. (Samael)
  151. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  152.
  153. [20:54] Auryx sat down in the grass, back against the tree and legs hanging off the ledge, a somewhat lengthy novel in his hands. On the cover, it read 'Nature of Daemons', obviously an informative book on the spiritually-based beings.
  154.
  155. Yawning quietly, he flipped through the pages, skimming the book's content for anything that interested him. He took note of a few daemons he had yet to see - the firefox and Magpawns - and committed them to memory. He'd be sure to attempt to find a few later on.
  156.
  157. For now, though, his studies into daemons continued. Nokris chortled in amusement, seemingly playing with some food that Auryx had given it moments ago. Despite it's evolution, it seemed that it was still too young to act a bit more.. mature.
  158.
  159. Auryx shook his head, the tiniest of smiles upon his lips. He motioned the daemon over, magic protecting him from the heat as he gently rubbed it's head.
  160.
  161. As he did so, he caught some of the words from the teacher in the background. He only listened for a few moments before writing the lesson off as something unnecessary to his own personal development, though, turning his attention back to his book.
  162.
  163. Knowledge was, is, and always would be one of the most important things in his life. It was versatile, interesting, and a necessity. Thus, he loved increasing his own.
  164.
  165. He thought back to his father's death scream, his expression saddening. Nokris, as oblivious as the daemon may seem at times, did have a connection to him. The blazeon quickly nudged at Auryx, and the now 18 year old rolled his eyes, the sadness that had shortly marred his expression fading.
  166. (Auryx Aurash)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [20:56] ''I see...''
  170.
  171. Relim's eyes went back to his notes and he writes a few words, 'connection'; 'step by step' and 'mana power for growing plants.'
  172.
  173. ''I'm wondering, how someone can grow a cute little thing like that one? and how do you call them'' the boy said pointing with the tip of his pen at the Mandrake.
  174. (Relim)
  175. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  176.
  177. [20:58] Vimilha was a little surprised at such a lengthy answer to their questions. She'd nod at the Dryad, and continued to think about how it actually worked; what mana actually did to make the plants grow. Perhaps she was thinking too hard, and wouldn't end up asking the Teacher about it due to feeling she might hinder the lesson.
  178. (Vimilha)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [20:58] They listen intently, tail thumping against the ground with excitement. They take notes once more in their still horrid style of writing.
  182.
  183. Their mind churning the particular ideas of toxins.. could they learn to use those as well..?
  184. (Taylor Morvan)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [21:04] Despite Auryx's disinterest in the lesson, Nokris was a fairly curious daemon. After (fairly easily) consoling it's master, it waddled over to the group lesson, lessening the power of it's flames as to make sure it didn't burn anything. It let out a small sound, looking to agava as if it had been a student all along.
  188. (Auryx Aurash)
  189. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  190.
  191. [21:14] Agava looked at Ralim and smiled towards his question only to reply to him after a moment.
  192.
  193. "These are mandrakes, plant begins we as dryads learned to work with thanks to blessing the spirits bestowed upon us, they are sadly among few special natural entitles that cannot be simply replicated." she said only to look at the others and keep her warm smile on, seeing that some of her students did appear confused, bored or even overloaded with information.
  194.
  195. "To summarize today's lesson, to learn nature magic one has to understand how it functions, learn to respect the importance each plant provides to balance the environment and form a special bond with plants they seek to use. Be it for healing purpose or combat. The greater ones bond is, more attuned one becomes to nature and with it becomes capable to form, control and maintain more complex plants." Agava explained only to clap her hands and add a closing statement for her class.
  196.
  197. "As your homework I ask you to pick one of the smaller plants, possibly flowers, fungi or shrubbery that grows in close proximity to the Academy grounds and harvest its seeds or spores necessary to grow them. If possible, try to grow them in small flower pots while observing any interesting characteristics they might show during their development."
  198. (Agava)
  199. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  200.
  201. [21:15] Tahldrig looks up at Agava before she finishes off her notes, she's glad the class is winding down since soon it's history time. Her favorite class! Tahl quickly asks "Do mushrooms have seeds?" She's never heard of a mushroom seed.
  202. (Tahldrig)
  203. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  204.
  205. [21:17] They nod eagerly, in response to the overall summary of the lesson, but also at the homework. Some they could actually enjoy!
  206. (Taylor Morvan)
  207. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  208.
  209. [21:17] Relim finished his notes and write the homework that the Dryad gave to them.
  210.
  211. ''Thanks for the class and the information Miss agava!'' He replied and took his papers.
  212.
  213. ''Sure, I'll do my best to grow a special thing at my garden.''
  214. (Relim)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [21:18] The notion of the homework given out made Samael ruffle his fingers through his hair, annoyed. Not only because he hated homework and excessive effort, but because of the nature of it: he was definitely not any good at growing things. Especially not from a seed.
  218.
  219. Pushing up to his feet with clawed hands, he still didn't think he really understood much at all. Or, rather, he did understand how nature magic worked... but the way Agava explained it didn't really help him at all.
  220. (Samael)
  221. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  222.
  223. [21:19] Agava says, "Before you all leave, I shall now provide you with tokens for attending my class."
  224. [21:20] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x2.
  225. [21:20] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x2.
  226. [21:20] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x2.
  227. [21:20] Tahldrig says, "Thank you miss Agava."
  228. [21:20] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x1.
  229. [21:21] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x2.
  230. [21:21] Agava says, "Too add since I nearly forgot."
  231. [21:21] Samael asks, "Why did some people get two tokens?"
  232. [21:21] Nokris cooed once more, looking at the tokens as if they were food.
  233. (Auryx Aurash)
  234. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  235.
  236. [21:21] Agava says, "Mushrooms have spores and because of their active involvement in the class, dear."
  237. [21:21] Agava says, "The more interest and inovolvement you will show, the more you will get rewarded."
  238. [21:22] Samael says, "Tch...."
  239. [21:22] Tahldrig asks, "Okay cool, I may come by tomorrow to ask you the best way to harvest spores and what not since.. well Tilia left, is that okay miss Agava?"
  240. [21:22] Auryx Aurash exclaims, "Nokris was involved in class, he should be rewarded." Auryx joked from his spot behind the tree. "He's a good boy!"
  241. [21:22] Agava says, "I am afraid the demon did not appear at the very beginning of the class."
  242. [21:22] Agava says, "If he shows up at the start he will be rewarded with a token."
  243. [21:23] Auryx Aurash says, "Shame. Ah, Nokris, you were too late."
  244. [21:23] Sonja says, "... Missed most. Annoying."
  245. [21:23] Tahldrig says, "Tokens are only for students anyway."
  246. [21:23] Agava says, "And sure Tah dear, you harvest them from ripe mushrooms, they form in the bottom section of their caps."
  247. [21:23] Auryx Aurash says, "T'was a joke. Nokris wouldn't have any use for a token anyway.. at least, not at his age. I'm not sure if he'd learn to.."
  248. [21:23] Tahldrig says, "Oh!That seems easy enough, thank you miss Agava."
  249. [21:24] Relim says, "Thank you"
  250. [21:25] Arkgvunde idly sways in the ocean breeze as it crashes over the Hill.
  251. (Arkgvunde Vel'heim)
  252. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  253.
  254. [21:25] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x1.
  255. [21:25] Auryx Aurash says, "Teacher."
  256. [21:26] Aurora takes the token! She pockets it somewhere, adding it to her collection.
  257.
  258. "Sorry for snoozing a little during class, Agava!"
  259. (Aurora Elisheva)
  260. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  261.
  262. [21:26] Agava says, "That can happen...my lecture is heavy."
  263. [21:26] Agava asks, "Also yes, young man?"
  264. [21:26] Agava asked while looking towards Auryx.
  265. (Agava)
  266. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  267.
  268. [21:27] Auryx Aurash says, "I've a few questions."
  269. [21:27] Agava whispers: Just make sure to try and grow a flower before next lesson.
  270. [21:27] Agava says, "Do ask them then."
  271. [21:27] Agava whispers: Try to learn as much of it as possible.
  272. [21:27] Aurora Elisheva whispers: Hm.. Alright! I'll ask for some seeds from my mother!
  273. [21:27] Auryx Aurash says, "One about my assortment into a house.. it's been nearly half a year, and I've yet to be sorted. Though, I suppose this is in part due to my absence from levengard while training Nokris.."
  274. [21:28] Auryx Aurash asks, "A second is that I've still not been told what these tokens are for. And finally.. do you have much knowledge about daemons?"
  275. [21:28] Agava whispers: Thera is a talented magi, she will likely help you, be safe dear.
  276. [21:28] Alesia Elisheva says, "...hi Ark..."
  277. [21:28] Aurora Elisheva whispers: ..Uh-huh! You too.
  278. [21:28] Aurora turns around to depart.
  279. (Aurora Elisheva)
  280. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  281.
  282. [21:29] Tahldrig says, "I think Adsila's class is going to be here but I don't know."
  283. [21:29] Arkgvunde Vel'heim says, "Hello."
  284. [21:30] Agava says, "Hi Ark...and I am afraid that we accepted students who were below age of 13 at the start of the Academy year. To add...sortement was done with a special golem and later by a coin toss by teachers or headmasters."
  285. [21:30] Agava says, "Lastly...I fear I know little about daemons myself, I am a nature teacher."
  286. [21:31] Vimilha whispers something.
  287. [21:32] Auryx Aurash says, "Hm. So i was misinformed.. A shame."
  288. [21:32] Auryx Aurash says, "No matter. I still have much to learn. I'll continue attending classes relevant to my journeys, if that is allowed."
  289. [21:33] Agava says, "if you so desire."
  290. [21:33] Agava says, "Hello dear sister."
  291. [21:33] Alesia Elisheva says, "...hi, sister Adsila..."
  292. [21:33] Agava waves towards Alesia after a moment as well.
  293. (Agava)
  294. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  295.
  296. [21:33] Vimilha gives a small wave at Adsila.
  297. (Vimilha)
  298. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  299.
  300. [21:33] Alesia Elisheva says, "...I'm sorry for missing your class, sister Agava..."
  301. [21:33] Adsila Coaxoch says, "Greetings, sisters."
  302. [21:33] Agava says, "Happens dear, don't worry about it. "
  303. [21:33] Agava says, "I will leave the hill in your care dear Adsila."
  304. [21:33] Agava offers her a warm smile before slowly taking her leave.
  305. (Agava)
  306.
  307. [20:15] Agava observed the arriving students as they slowly arrived, she hummed and counted them up just before deciding to clap her hands together and clear her throat as she addressed the group that arrived.
  308.
  309. "Welcome everyone, thank you for attending a proper second lesson of nature magic. To recap, during first lesson we learned the basics of nature magic, its main difference in comparison to elemental and cosmic ones, along with importance behind having to understand said difference in order to properly wield the nature, without meeting its wrath.
  310.
  311. As a homework I requested for those that were present on the lesson to pick a smaller plant from one of the surrounding woods, harvest its seed, grow and nurture it while learning any potential facts they could during the plants development."
  312. (Agava)
  313. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  314.
  315. [20:18] They were excited, the poppylus plant between their legs as they sit was even bigger than before. Nourished by their growing Nature and Water magics.
  316.
  317. "I still have mine!"
  318.
  319. They say eagerly their tail swishing softly against the ground.
  320. (Taylor Morvan)
  321. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  322.
  323. [20:19] Fern thinks to himself, having missed the first lesson, that he is fortunate to already know the basics. That said, he kind of regrets not having any information on elemental or cosmic magic to compare his own understanding with. He hopes the information he missed isn't too important for what comes next.
  324. (Fern Blackwood)
  325. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  326.
  327. [20:19] Tahl wasn't late! Thank goodness! That'd be a mark on her permanent record! A tardy?! UNACCEPTABLE!
  328.
  329. She sits there quietly listening to Agava, a small box beside her.
  330. (Tahldrig)
  331. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  332.
  333. [20:19] Once again, Brii had not brought any homework, as she did not attend the prior class. Though, perhaps the postponing could have given her time to grow a plant. What would she even grow? Would the wheat she was currently growing count??
  334. (Brii)
  335. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  336.
  337. [20:19] Her she be, after missing the first, and catching the announcement that the second was canceled. A class that could specifically be used in her own personal advancement, as a means of improving her magic in and out of combat alike.
  338.
  339. Sonja sits flat on the ground and crosses her legs. Still. Silent. A statue.
  340. (Sonja)
  341. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  342.
  343. [20:19] Quadrus slowly sits down, he had missed the first class due to unfortunate circumstances, hopefully he hasn't missed out on much... Atleast his drug smuggling business is going good!
  344. (Quadrus Potine)
  345. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  346.
  347. [20:20] He'd arrive before class had begun, people already gathering there
  348. This was his first time attending nature class, he wasn't quite sure what to expect
  349. He didn't really need to pay any attention to the "homework" considering he wasn't there, but he was actually quite disappointed as that sounded quite interesting
  350. His frown would soon fade and he'd put his attention back on the teacher
  351. (Servaso)
  352. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  353.
  354. [20:20] Thank you for having us here again, Miss Agava, it's always a pleasure.'
  355.
  356. The boy as per usual took a seat in the grass and crossed his legs.
  357.
  358. Relim took out from his backpack a pumpkin and after that, his gaze went towards the Dryad.
  359.
  360. ''I plant a nice pumpkin.'' He replied.
  361. (Relim)
  362. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  363.
  364. [20:20] This was the little girls first time here at this class and she wanted to learn something around here instead of not showing up to the class so she would remain quite and listening
  365.
  366. to the Agava talk and speak about how they were learning the basics last class which was comparisons to elemental and cosmic ones.
  367.
  368. "Hmm."
  369.
  370. Who would of known that nature could be quite interesting to the little girl.
  371. (Saki Oshikawa)
  372. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  373.
  374. [20:21] The Siren nodded at Agava's words, sitting with her legs out and plant pot in her lap. In it was a plain white mushroom; not what she intended to grow... but it'd probably still be fine.
  375. (Vimilha)
  376. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  377.
  378. [20:34] Responses from the students that visited her first lesson left her smiling, seeing that they did come prepared, she clapped her hands together and soon addressed the group once more, speaking with a calm, respectful tone.
  379.
  380. "Congratulations to ones that brought in their homework, did you learn anything of interest from your plants that you would like to share with the class? Any tips or interesting facts that could potentially help you and the others bond with nature and lend you idea of how to work towards wielding nature?" she asked with a calm tone only to add after a moment.
  381.
  382. "For those that did miss the first lesson, things can happen and all I ask that fi you are present that you listen and take notes during the lesson."
  383. (Agava)
  384. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  385.
  386. [20:38] Vimilha looked at her pot as she responded to Agava,
  387. "Yeah... I planted poppy seeds... but a mushroom grew instead..?"
  388. She asked with some confusion in her voice. Her finger poked the top of the mushroom.
  389. (Vimilha)
  390. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  391.
  392. [20:38] Fern removes a piece of borrowed stationery from his jacket and turns to face the others. He didn't really know what to expect, or what information might be gleaned from what amounted to controlled agriculture, made to relate to magic. Still, his orders were to listen and take notes. He intended to do his best, without misgivings. He notes that he lacks a pen, and pulls a thorn off of one of his vines, dipping it into a bit of toxic sap. It wasn't ink, but it would stain well enough. He hoped nobody noticed or thought it strange.
  393. (Fern Blackwood)
  394. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  395.
  396. [20:38] With a grin on their face they speak, one of the areas they felt comfort speaking about in front of others.
  397.
  398. "Poppylus is supposed to grow where a Fae comes from the Spirit realm... but.. it can also be grown by seed.. and as a... new.. alchemist.. I know it is used to balance things when making potions..
  399.
  400. Like a stabilizer."
  401. (Taylor Morvan)
  402. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  403.
  404. [20:38] The girl would sit back leaning against the tree furthest among the rest of the students because she wasn't too fond of sitting in the front but just being in the back put her at ease the same way when she meet that spirt for the first time in her life.
  405.
  406. Saki would only return a small nod toward the teacher as she told that students that missed the first lesson of class were to take notes and that was exactly what Saki was going to do.
  407.
  408. Taking out a small piece of paper and using her sword as something she could write against was a pretty smart idea. She would look around to those were here for the first lesson and take a look at the plants they created like told.
  409. (Saki Oshikawa)
  410. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  411.
  412. [20:39] Brii didn't think twice to bring any paper or writing utensils of any kind. She was confident she could simply memorize the information perfectly.
  413.
  414. It wasn't like she was going to use nature magic... But knowing about its properties sated her curiosity, at least.
  415. (Brii)
  416. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  417.
  418. [20:39] Quadrus would slowly nod and pays attention to the lecture, he'd have been quite lazy for the past few days, barely training or attending classes, he'd take it all back or atleast try to! Hopefully he'd learn something about Nature even though he doesn't use nature magic.
  419.
  420. He'd bring out a piece of paper and begin taking notes of the lecture and paying close attention, this oughta' be good.
  421. (Quadrus Potine)
  422. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  423.
  424. [20:42] The Dryad nods.
  425.
  426. ''Well, I have a garden full of plants and what I learned is that every flowers or vegetable, have different needs, like some of them needed more water, others needed more sunlight. '' He answered and took out his notebook and also the wind Drakanite feather and the ink pod, in case that he needed to take any notes or tips from the others.
  427.
  428. ''It's quite important to properly give to nature, love, and water, according to what they need..''
  429. (Relim)
  430. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  431.
  432. [20:43] Tahl did have a few issues with her mushrooms, as she opened the small box to show the class, she displayed a rather large and flourishing group of the fungi. "My main struggle with my mushrooms.. well, it was growing them in a new location. The mushroom spores I got are from mushrooms right here on the hill." She points right behind her towards the edge, the very grouping of mushrooms she'd gotten the spores from.
  433.
  434. "I wanted to see if they would grow with salt water primarily around them from the ocean, so I tried to grow them on the beach. However, it was much too warm, and too bright. Along with that the saltiness of the air and the water seemed to be too much for the spores to grow from." There's a small shrug, it was her first attempt and it didn't work.
  435.
  436. So how did she get the large box of mushrooms she has now? Well, she didn't give up. "After that I tried something else. I dug a small hole in the side of the mountain, about an arm's length into it with my magic. It seems like the change in the type of earth they were in, being actual dirt instead of sand made a large difference in filtering the waters so that the spores could begin growing properly."
  437.
  438. A smile is displayed now, to her it's very fascinating how even the smallest of changes can have such a large outcome on the results of a project.
  439.
  440. "And for anyone wondering what happened with the sandy mushroom attempt.." She pulls forth a small container that held nothing more than gray mush. "I think it's mold.. but I'm not sure." It definitely is mold.
  441. (Tahldrig)
  442. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  443.
  444. [21:12] Vim's unfortunate event with her seeds growing into something else wasn't exactly an odd one at all, seeing that mistakes would happen to anyone new to the nature magic, herbalism or farming.
  445.
  446. "That can happen, perhaps spores infested the seeds you had planted or took root above the poppy seeds, it really depends to how damp the soil was and how humid the air. There are many factors that could led to a mushroom growing out of your seeds and it isn't exactly anything wrong, did you notice anything of interest about your mushrooms dear?" the dryad aske only to look towards Taylor before deciding to prise her as well.
  447.
  448. "Good, very good dear."
  449.
  450. With that she proceeded to look through other students before looking at Relim and offering him a warm smile and a firm nod as she listened to his explanation only to reply a shortly after.
  451.
  452. "Indeed, even nature has basic needs to survive. While love is a welcomed addition, it mainly relays on nutriments from sun and soil which also provides source of water."
  453.
  454. Soon after she addressed Tahldrig's explanation of her own research, leaving the dryad to chuckle lightly as her student had taken the homework to a different level than what was expected. Agava allowed her student to finish her explanation before finally deciding to reply, addressing Tahl's notes along the way.
  455.
  456. "Reason behind my homework was to help you understand the depth of nature's existence, the different needs of each individual plants, even of same species, as each of them provides individual role to the environment and cycle the are part of. Tahldrig went beyond what was requested and learned what previous generations had to learn before us, where different plants can grow and what is necessary for them to thrive."
  457.
  458. "Not all plants will grow in same place as not all of them are used to climate and soil they are sown to, richness of nutriments, humidity, temperature and type of available water paint a picture on which plants will exist in certain areas and which will wither. Plants learn to adapt over the centuries, generation after generation, similarly as we do, they learn and improve to ensure that other plants, insects and animals wouldn't end up devouring them to extinction." she began her ramble, trying to prove a point that similarly as people, plants needed to be taken seriously in order to form a bond and be properly wielded by magi.
  459.
  460. "With this, it is important that while being wielded by magi, plants spawn form mana infused seeds, growing and thriving only through period in which they are fuelled with mana, rapidly maturing and aging which steadily rises the proportion of mana needed to keep them from withering. Nature should not be used as a weapon, object that we can use but as an entity, individual and collective that with our guidance lends its properties to our cause, be it in combat, daily tasks or healing."
  461. (Agava)
  462. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  463.
  464. [21:17] Once Agava began talking, Tahl began taking her notes again, she hadn't considered the richness of the nutrients in the environment when she'd began to grow her mushrooms. She also didn't think about trying to infuse her cosmic magic into the growth process of the spores either. At this juncture she has no questions. She just quietly writes.
  465. (Tahldrig)
  466. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  467.
  468. [21:18] The short bit of praise making their tail thump the ground softly, something they almost never did around a bunch of people.
  469.
  470. They listen to what the Dryad says, attention rapt on what was being said. Though they assumed it would come eventually they wanted to know more about how to summon toxins from Nature, like Miss Agava had mentioned something about in their first lesson.
  471.
  472. Maintaining themselves to silence for the moment, they wait to see what comes next.
  473. (Taylor Morvan)
  474. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  475.
  476. [21:18] Brii waves her hand.
  477. (Brii)
  478. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  479.
  480. [21:18] Brii exclaims, "So like, can you make a whole forest out of magic?? Or maybe just a REALLY big tree, maybe like bigger than any building... That would be pretty neat!"
  481. [21:19] Even though he didn't do or was even involved with the homework, he listened to the teacher speak, trying to soak whatever information he could into notes, he was always keen on learning whatever knowledge he could regardless of the subject
  482. He would sit silent with his usual smile as the teacher talked, not really thinking of anything of value he could say
  483. (Servaso)
  484. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  485.
  486. [21:20] Fern takes particularly heavy notes on that last bit the teacher had stated. It was a strong conclusion, and a good point to how he might better use his vines. He wondered if they should be left in a natural habitat and replaced, to reduce the mana needed to sustain them. It bore thinking about, which made the notes useful. He wondered if changing environmental factors such as climate and soil could be any kind of substitute for healthy nature spirits. If the state of the Dreadwoods was an indicator, he doubted it. He still wouldn't speak here though. Internal thought was valuable enough, and he had no contributions.
  487. (Fern Blackwood)
  488. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  489.
  490. [21:21] Anything interesting about her mushrooms? The Siren lifted the pot up and rotated it, inspecting her plain mushroom. She didn't know anything about mushrooms, so she didn't know what to look for.
  491.
  492. "Um... I don't think so..?"
  493. (Vimilha)
  494. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  495.
  496. [21:21] Writing down as many things as she could taking in all of the information that was being said from the teacher and the students at the same time though the girl was very interested in one of the others kids that showed the class her problem on why her mushroom wasn't growing which was quite new to the little girl.
  497.
  498. She learned something already that planting things near beaches perhaps wasn't the smartest thing to do if she were to even plant something.
  499.
  500. A simple nod to herself shuffling her pen from left to right taking notes like so. " She had no real idea what she meant but she wrote it down anyways but she felt she a bit of the jest the teacher was talking about when she said that.
  501.
  502. Oh boy the little girl had so much to talk about when she came back home from class to tell her two mothers about the things she has learned already. Setting down the pen she would wait for the teacher to speak once again.
  503. (Saki Oshikawa)
  504. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  505.
  506. [21:23] Quadrus would take notes, not knowing that magic even had to do anything with farming and seeds, strange, even environment and needs are different with plants, this'd be great information to take note of.
  507.
  508. He'd wonder how and why magic influenced farming and the sorts, he'd just pay attention to the lecture and maybe they'll tell us.
  509. (Quadrus Potine)
  510. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  511.
  512. [21:23] Lagoon's eyes Greenish hues shifted between his fellow class student while they talk, taking notes from those that have great ideas or explanation.
  513.
  514. And then went back to the Dryad. '' So, basically, we need to grow our own seeds, infuse them with mana and storage with us in case that we needed to use them?'' Relim frowned and stares at the teacher for a moment or two.
  515.
  516. ''One we are attuned with the nature mana, can we also call the force of the tree to aid us?'' And after those words, one more question formed at the boy's head.
  517.
  518. ''Ark told me also, that Dryads can call creatures of the forest to help them...how can someone do that?'' between his fellows students while
  519. (Relim)
  520. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  521.
  522. [21:28] At this point, she's all but given up on taking notes. Writing is annoying. Her mind needs to be a sponge. That's all that she's convinced herself of, so writing be damned-.
  523.
  524. She's just here to absorb everything. To be like a statue. To continue to be completely still and useless and do pretty much nothing except sit here and exist.
  525.
  526. I forgot to hit post before I went afk oops.
  527. (Sonja)
  528. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  529.
  530. [21:45] Brii's question left the dryad smiling as she shook her head, she soon hummed and replied with her calm manner, wanting to help with clear the confusion.
  531.
  532. "In theory yes, though you have to understand that similarly to using elemental magic, the more potent the spell you use, the more mana you need to cast and if necessary, to maintain it. As I have explained, as plant matures and ages it demands more mana, since trees grow through their entire life, the quantity of mana needed to speed its growth rises drastically with each gained inch in height and width."
  533.
  534.
  535. "To grow a massive tree you would require to ensure it can survive in its massive state without withering and causing havoc to its surrounding as it would require massive quantities of nourishments and water to survive on its own once starved out of the mana it was provided." the dryad explained before looking towards Relim and soon deciding to reply to his question.
  536.
  537. "As I have mentioned, in theory it would be possible but you would need to learn how to maintain a steady flow of mana into the said tree, in addition after figuring out how to exactly you would see it fight, be it using its roots, branches, leaves? Unlike vines, flowers and mushrooms that can release toxic spores and pollen, the trees are more complex in their design, making it difficult for even more talented magi to grow a tree without using it for anything else other than healing purposes." Agava tried to explain only to clear her throat and address the other question that Relim asked her.
  538.
  539. "On the note of creatures of the forest from what I would say is that per our blessing we can call upon mandrakes, more sentient seedlings that we can grow, along with deadly blooms. I am not exactly sure what other creatures Ark might been speaking of as I have not met or had any other beings heed my call in the past, not even a nature spirit."
  540. (Agava)
  541. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  542.
  543. [21:46] Tahldrig continues writing her notes, yep, that works.
  544. (Tahldrig)
  545. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  546.
  547. [21:47] As the lesson continued they do their best to retain all that was said, not because they wouldn't remember. Just because their notetaking was terrible and impossible to read even for themselves sometimes.
  548.
  549.
  550. (Taylor Morvan)
  551. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  552.
  553. [21:48] Well, that certainly explains why she hasn't seen any giant, ancient forests overflowing with magic, as enchanting as that would be... She supposes it's theoretically possible, but not practical to anyone with such power.
  554.
  555. She kind of wishes it was... Just to see it...
  556. (Brii)
  557. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  558.
  559. [21:50] Fern finds the idea of growing a massive tree interesting, especially if it could be useful in fighting back the corrupted portion of the jungle. Knowing the immense resources it would take, he knew such a thing would be a legendary undertaking, but if it was theoretically possible, he might bring it up later when he returns to Gehenna. The marshlands nearby certainly had the water and soil covered. As a Dryad himself, he was interested in hearing what Agava had to say in response to the summoning of nature spirits or creatures of the forests. He himself wasn't aware of anything beyond what she'd mentioned though, and it was a bit disappointing. He'd spoken to a nature spirit, but it was unlikely it would have fought for anything other than the copse of trees to which it was attached.
  560. (Fern Blackwood)
  561. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  562.
  563. [21:50] He'd nod his head throughout it and write down his notes, he was being far more quiet than usual, he was very inexperienced in this field so he could think of nothing to say, he'd just jot down whatever he could and smile, feeling himself learn more every minute
  564. And it would be quite handy if he ever decided to become a farmer!
  565. (Servaso)
  566. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  567.
  568. [21:50] She flipped over her paper to the back of the page and began to write down some more notes listening to the teacher.
  569.
  570. Though the little girls attention span was quite small and in the middle of her talking she began to draw little doodles of her slashing trees because she wanted to train so bad at this very moment but she needed to attain some sort of information for her parents if not they would be quite angry at here.
  571.
  572. Talking about the mandrakes and how fearsome plants can be in the right hands raised her brow though sitting up instead of slugging against the tree.
  573. (Saki Oshikawa)
  574. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  575.
  576. [21:52] Relim's eyes went down to his notebook and he begins to write on it the answers of the Dryad.
  577.
  578. Words like 'Mandrake', 'Deadly bloom', 'vines' and could be found between the lines of his notes.
  579.
  580. ''Thank you Miss Agava.'' He replied and smiled at the teacher.
  581. (Relim)
  582. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  583.
  584. [21:56] Relim whispers something.
  585. [22:00] Agava smiled as she saw the students take notes and thank her for her explanation, seeing that her lesson ended up dragging for hours she decided to clean her throat and soon deciding to address her class to end the lesson for today.
  586.
  587. "With this we will be ending today's lesson, we have learned what is necessary for the plants to survive, elaborated on the idea behind having to respect the plants as entities to properly wield them and the impact of mana in their growth, control and lifespan. For next lesson I would like you all to bring seeds necessary for our first practice, be it flower seeds, vines or mushrooms, acorns can work as well if you will desire to try something harder." Agava said while finishing her class, soon rising to her feet while taking out her bag filled with tokens.
  588. (Agava)
  589. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  590.
  591. [22:02] {Item} You drop Poppylus x9.
  592. [22:02] {Item} You picked up Poppylus x9. Dropped by Agava.
  593. [22:02] Brii exclaims, "Seeds, huh? That shouldn't be hard at all!!"
  594. [22:02] Tahldrig finished up the last of her notes and looks to Agava with a smile. Acorns are something she used to gather for Tilia and Agava, perhaps in her morning runs she could stop once in a while to get the acorns. "Thank you for the leson miss Agava. I look forward to your next one."
  595. (Tahldrig)
  596. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  597.
  598. [22:02] {Item} You drop Reimara Token x90.
  599. [22:02] {Item} You picked up Reimara Token x90. Dropped by Agava.
  600. [22:02] Brii asks, "Ohhhh, do we get tokens now??"
  601. [22:03] He was planning on actually coming next time so he'd do the homework
  602. Seeds, seem easy enough after all
