- Superkids: Origin
- "Nice day to go for a run", Sally Blitzer remarks. She stands at the edge of the vast Grandeur City, the cool summer breeze blowing her curly red hair around. In less then a second, Sally runs all the way around to the other side of the city. Superhuman speed does have its perks. A ginger cat walks up beside of her, having seemingly appeared from out of no where. The cat transforms into a boy somewhat taller than Sally. He has the same red hair as Sally, though his is roughly half as long as hers.
- "Felix, where'd you com from?", Sally asks. Her brother is a Felinomorph, meaning he can shape-shift into any kind of cat at will.
- "Just strolling around. Saw you run by, so I thought i'd try and catch up to you", Felix responds. He shifts back to cat form and leaps up onto Sally's shoulders moments before she takes off running again. This time, Sally runs out of the city and into the wilderness. Up on a nearby mountain, several giant letters are visible. an H, three spaces where other letters once stood, a Y, a W, two more spaces, and then a D. Sally races up the mountain to examine them. She sees what appears to be two giant metal tires down the hill from the W and the D. Upon closer inspection, she realizes they are O's and most have been part of the big word, or words, on the hill.
- "Based on where these O's are, they must have been in between the W and the D. The word, or words, on the hill ended with "wood". Let's look for more letters on the ground", Felix suggests. He's now back in his human form, but quickly shifts into a tiger. Sally and Felix search the area in-between the H and the Y. They find another O and two L's after some searching. Felix shifts from tiger to lion and drags the five fallen letters up to where the other letters are standing. He arranges all nine letters to spell HOLLYWOOD then shifts back to human form.
- "I think we just found what was once the famous Hollywood sign", Felix declares, "Before the Nuclear Apocalypse, they made movies in Hollywood and a lot of famous movie stars lived there". Sally's cell phone rings. Sally quickly grabs the phone out of her purse and answers it.
- "It's Uncle Kevin. D.A.N.G. has a mission that he wants us to undertake.", Sally informs Felix. D.A.N.G. (Defense Against Nuclear Genocide) is a secret agency that Sally's and Felix's mother, father, aunt, and uncle work for. Sally and Felix also partake in missions for the agency. Sally and Felix rush over to the closest D.A.N.G. base, which happens to be in an abandoned army base formerly known as Area 51, where it was rumored that beings from other worlds were kept.
- The D.A.N.G. base has tall walls around it, but Felix shifts into a panther and, with Sally on his back, leaps over the walls with ease. They approach the base's front door and stand in front of the scanner.
- "Saladora Jean Blitzer and Felix Ryan Blitzer. Welcome!", the scanner confirms. The door opens and the Blitzer siblings step inside. A teleporter across the room lights up and Uncle Kevin materializes inside of it. Sally and Felix rush over to the teleporter as their uncle climbs out of it.
- "Saladora! Felix! We have big trouble", Uncle Kevin informs them, "Someone is attacking D.A.N.G. bases".
- "Are mom, dad, and Aunt Jennifer okay?", Sally asks.
- "Your parents are at the D.A.N.G. base in the city that was known as New York City in the days before the Nuclear Apocalypse. So far, it hasn't been attacked. Jennifer is waiting for me at the D.A.N.G. base in the islands once known as Japan. Your job is to go to the D.A.N.G. base in the area once known as District of Columbia, where this country's main government was. I haven't been able to contact anyone there for a while, so I want you to go to D.C. and check up on them", Uncle Kevin explains, I'm going to take the teleporter to Japan and rendezvous with my wife. You two make your way to DC and find out what's going on there". With that, Uncle Kevin steps back in the teleporter and vanishes.
- "We better take time to prepare before we leave", Felix suggests, "for one thing, sis, you probably won't wanna partake in a spy mission wearing a light blue miniskirt and bright green shorts".
- "Good point", Sally remarks. She ducks into the ladies' room and comes out moments later wearing a black bodysuit. Felix slips on a brown trenchcoat over his white overalls, which he's wearing over a red shirt and black pants. He also replaces his green sneakers with black boots. Then, they hear a loud BOOM! and part of the roof collapses, cutting them off from the teleporter. Sally and Felix rush down the hall, stopping in a room full of spy gadgets. They grab as many as the can carry and keep on running. The reach a hangar and hurry inside it. The hangar contains a shiny silver flying saucer which takes up just over half of the hangar, which itself is the size of a football field. Without looking back to see who came in through the base's roof, Sally and Felix start up the UFO, zoom out of the Hangar and head east towards their destination.
- "Let's see what cool gadgets we managed to get", Sally suggests. Felix puts the UFO on autopilot, and then Sally and Felix empty their pockets of the spy gadgets they grabbed. They have two high-tech spy watches, a grappling gun with two grappling hooks, a small pendulum, 3 grenades, several kinds of repellent, and two six-packs of soda with a brand-name neither Sally nor Felix had ever heard of. They each strap on one of the watches, and put the other stuff in their their backpacks.
- The city formerly known as Washington D.C. comes into view. Sally and Felix begin looking for a place to land their flying saucer.
- "Let's land over there, in the center of that pentagon-shaped building", Sally suggests, pointing to what looks like a gigantic pentagon. Felix lands the UFO right in the center of the pentagon. Sally and Felix exit the UFO and rush up the road towards the building their uncle called The White House. Sally notices a building labelled "Library of Congress".
- "Let's look in that library. We may find something useful in there", Sally suggests. Sally and Felix step inside the "Library of Congress", which has seen better days. books are strewn everywhere, several shelves have collapsed, and most of the computer's have busted screens. Sally notices one computer is still on. Sally notices the screen is showing an interview. A man in a white lab coat is being interviewed right in front of the building their uncle called the White House. The man next to the man in the labcoat has on a business suit. Sally and Felix recognize him as the last President of the United States before the Nuclear Apocalypse, but they can't remember his name.
- "You can't get rid of our nuclear weapons", the man in the labcoat begs the president, "Every country except Australia has nuclear weapons these days. if any of those countries attacks us, and we don't have nukes, we'll be at a severe disadvantage".
- "My mind is already made up", the president responds, "i'm taking us out of the nuclear arms race, and launching all of the nukes in the United States up into space, where they will be detonated a safe distance from the Earth". The video clip ends there, but Sally notices a second video clip and clicks on it. The same United States President appear on the screen holding a microphone.
- "We have successfully launcher the country's nukes skyward. For reasons unknown, nukes have been launched from every other country that has any of them. we are currently looking in to this matter", the president explains. There's a series of explosions high in the sky and the video clip ends.
- "What did we just see?" Sally wonders.
- "I think we just saw the start of the Nuclear Apocalypse", Felix answers, "Anyway, we should probably head on over to that D.A.N.G. base". With a loud CRASH, a missile comes flying in through the window and hits the computer they had just been watching the video clips on, causing the computer to explode in a shower of sparks and knock both of them backwards into an empty book shelf. Sally and Felix recover and look through the shattered window to see a fighter jet hovering outside.
- "RUN!", Felix yells, but Sally is already gone. Felix runs towards the White House building. Transforming into a sphinx, Felix takes flight. A second later, someone else launches off the roof of the White House building and slams full-force into the fighter jet. The jet spins out of control and crashes into a tall white obelisk nearby, which falls down on top of the jet a moment later. Felix lands and reverts to human form. The person who took out the jet lands nearby. Felix recognizes the guy as Michael Drayren, a friend of his and Sally's.
- "Sally came rushing into the base and said someone was shooting missiles at you and her", Michael explains, "So I put on my dragon armor and took off to lend a helping hand". With his armor now off, Michael's red hair (a darker red than the Blitzer siblings' hair) is visible, as is the orange muscle shirt, red pants, and blue sneakers he is wearing. Felix knows Michael garnered the nickname "Dragonian" because he built a suit of armor that resembles a dragon and has dual flamethrowers that resemble dragon heads. Add in Michael's own super-strength, and you have one of the most powerful Superkids, and Michael is also the oldest Superkid, at 18. Felix had gone over the list of Superkids in his watch. Michael is the only adult-age Superkid as of now, and there's also only 3 Superkids younger than 13.
- "Any idea who the guys who were shooting at us are?", Sally asks Michael. Neither Michael nor Felix had seen Sally rush up beside them.
- Probably the same guys who have been trying to attack the base", Michael answers, "I don't know who they are or why they are attacking D.A.N.G. bases". Michael, Sally, and Felix make their way into the D.A.N.G. base.
- "Maybe we should retrieve one of the pilots from the fighter jet for interrogating", Sally suggests.
- "There were no pilots. When I rammed it, I noticed that its cockpit was empty. That fighter jet was likely a remote-controlled drone", Michael explains. Michael leads Sally and Felix to the base's control room.
- "In the days before the Nuclear Apocalypse, this room was called the oval office, and the country's president operated out of here", Michael explains. Michael's parents are sitting on a couch in the room.
- "We've been letting Michael run the base because we're getting a bit old", Michael's mother explains.
- "So Michael, is this young lady your girlfriend?", Michael's father asks, pointing at Sally.
- "Dad no, this is Saladora Blitzer and her brother Felix. you remember them, don't you. Sally is only 15 years old and Felix is 16", Michael responds.
- "There's nothing wrong with dating a younger chick. You need someone to help you run this base", Michael's father insists. Michael starts to respond, but the conversation is interrupted when a missile shatters the far window and hits the desk in the center of the room, blowing it to smithereens. Michael's parents jump to their feet and head for the door.
- "You three get out of here. The Superkids may be our best hope for stopping these attacks", Michael's father shouts.
- "Who are the Superkids?", Michael asks, but a portion of the roof collapses, blocking Michael from reaching his parents. Sally, Felix, and Michael dash out through the shattered window. More fighter jet drones, along with some robots on the ground, have filled the building's front lawn.
- "I'll go get the UFO, you guys keep these things busy". Sally shouts, and then she takes off running. Michael fires up his flamethrowers and begins shooting the drones out of the sky. Felix takes out a grenade, removes the pin, and tosses it in the midst of the robots, blowing most of them to bits. one robot, who is about 30 feet tall, avoids the blast and marches towards Felix, but Sally arrives in the UFO and uses the UFO's laser to shoot the robot, decapitating it.
- "Beam us up, Sally", Felix yells. Sally pushes a button and the UFO fires a tractor beam downward. Felix is pulled up into the UFO. Michael flies into the tractor beam is is pulled into the UFO as well. Once everyone is on board, Sally flies the UFO out of Washington D.C. as fast as she can.
- Sally heads north until the reach a big city, or at least the ruins of one. She lands the UFO inside what was once a gigantic sporting arena.
- "I've brought us to the ruins of New York City. Uncle Kevin said our parents were at the D.A.N.G. base here. Maybe Mom and Dad tell us who the Superkids are and where to find them", Sally explains.
- "Our parents brought us here once before. We know where the D.A.N.G. base is", Felix adds. Sally, Felix, and Michael leave the UFO in the arena, which was called Madison Square Garden according to a sign outside the arena. It doesn't take them long to reach the D.A.N.G. base, a skyscraper that had had its top floors slashed off sometime in the past.
- "Our parents said this skyscraper was known as the Empire State Building", Sally explains. Sally, Felix, and Michael make their way inside to find a major fight going on. Several D.A.N.G. agents are fighting with guys in armor that covers them from head to toe, concealing their faces. Sally and Felix locate their parents. One of the armored guys has a gun pointed at them. Sally disarms the goon in the blink of an eye. Sally takes out her grappling gun and fires a hook, then grabs the string and wraps it around the guy she just disarmed.
- "Saladora! Felix! what are you two doing here?", Sally's and Felix's mother asks.
- "Uncle Kevin met up with us at the Area 51 D.A.N.G. base and told us he had lost contact with the base in Washington D.C., so we went to D.C. and met up with Michael Drayren there. The Washington D.C. base got attacked and we lost sight of Michael's parents, but they said "the Superkids are our best hope for stopping whoever is attacking D.A.N.G. bases" before they vanished. We came here hoping you could tell us who the Superkids are and where to find them", Sally explains in a single breath.
- "Sounds like you have been through a lot", Sally's and Felix's father comments, "Did my brother tell you where he was going?".
- "He said he was going to meet up with his wife in some place called Japan", Felix answers.
- "Sounds like Japan is the best place for us to go right now", their father decides.
- "We don't have time to explain everything about the Superkids to you right now. Use your watches and try to contact Kevin", their mother adds. Sally and Felix had almost forgotten about the spy watches on their wrists. Sally touches the screen of her watch and the clock vanishes, replaced by a map of the world. Her mother points to a near-vertical island chain to the right of a big landmass marked Asia.
- "That's Japan", Sally's mother points out. Sally touches Japan, and the map zooms in to it. the map registers a D.A.N.G. base in a city called Tokyo. Sally zooms in on it, then she zooms into the base itself. A list of D.A.N.G. agents currently in the base pops up. Sally selects Kevin Blitzer from the list. Her uncle's face appears on the screen.
- "Uncle Kevin, can you hear me?", Sally yells into her watch.
- "Saladora? is that you?", Kevin answers back.
- "Yes. Me and Felix are at the New York City base with mom and dad", Sally responds, "I'd have called you sooner but I left my cell phone at the Area 51 base and didn't know I could use the watch to call you until mom pointed it out".
- "Is Michael Drayren with you? his parents arrived here in Tokyo via teleporter with serious injuries. They're okay though", Uncle Kevin asks.
- "Yes, Michael's with us. Right now, he's pummeling these armored goons who are attacking the base", Sally explains. Michael is punching out armored "bad guys" left and right. Sally signals to him.
- "Uncle Kevin says your parents managed to teleport to the Tokyo base. They are injured, but okay", Sally informs him. Michael finishes off the last "bad guy" and then makes a beeline for the teleporter.
- "I'm going to Japan to check on my folks. You two do what you have to do", Michael shouts at Sally and Felix, then he jumps into the teleporter and vanishes. Sally turns back to her watch.
- "Michael's headed your way", she informs her uncle, "by the way, do you know who the Superkids are and where we can find them?".
- "It's too dangerous to talk aloud about the Superkids, as our enemies are likely targeting them. Do you still have that flying saucer you and Felix took from the Area 51 base?", Uncle Kevin asks.
- "Yes", Sally answers.
- "Good, because you're gonna need it. The Superkid files are stored in D.A.N.G.'s moon base, which lacks a teleporter since we never bothered to install one up there. Retrieve them, and you'll find out what you wanna know", Kevin explains. Kevin vanishes as the watch's clock reappears.
- "Did Kevin give you another mission?", Sally's mother asks.
- "He told us where we need to go next", Sally answers. She rushes over to her brother and explains what Uncle Kevin told her. The two of them head for the front door.
- "We will stay here and interrogate these armored men, and then head for the Japan base", their parents explain. Sally and Felix wave good-bye to their parents and head outside.
- Sally and Felix make their was back to Madison Square Garden and hurry aboard the flying saucer.
- "Next stop: the moon!", Sally declares. She starts up the UFO and flies it straight upward into the sky. They break out of the atmosphere seconds later and soon reach the moon. It doesn't take long to locate the D.A.N.G. moon base, even though it is on the dark side of the moon.
- Sally and Felix leave the UFO in the moon base's hangar, which is about twice the size of the one they first found the UFO in. They make their way to the base's supercomputer. They search the supercomputer's database until they locate the Superkid files.
- "What do we do now? i don't see a printer", Felix asks.
- "We download the info into our watches. I figured out how to do that while we were on our way here", Sally answers. Sally presses the screen of her watch and makes a menu come up. She selects "download" from the menu, and a cord emerges from the bottom of her watch. the end of the cord fits right into the supercomputer's USB port and Sally downloads the Superkid files into her watch. When she's done, Felix takes his turn to download them into his watch. Sally and Felix shut off the supercomputer and make their way back to the flying saucer.
- As they leave the moon base, another flying saucer appears and heads right for them. When it gets close to them, Felix notices, the other UFO doesn't have any pilots.
- "That thing's another drone. Whoever keeps attacking D.A.N.G. bases must know we were going to the moon base", Felix realizes. The enemy UFO flies right on top of them and activates its tractor beam.
- "It's trying to capture us. I have an idea", Sally declares. she takes one of the two remaining grenades, and puts on a spacesuit she noticed hanging up near the flying saucer's hatch. Sally opens the hatch and runs up to the top of their UFO, her suit having magnetic boots that keep her feet attached to the ship. She pulls the pin from the grenade and tosses it into the other UFO's tractor beam. Sally quickly rushes back inside their UFO and closes the hatch. The other UFO explodes moments later. The two of them return to Earth and land the UFO in Grandeur City.
- "The UFO's guidance system is calling this place Tucson instead of Grandeur City", Sally notices.
- "It must have been called Tucson before the Nuclear Apocalypse. Remember, this city was part of a failed attempt to revive the country after the Nuclear Apocalypse.", Felix explains.
- Sally and Felix return to their family's house. Their cat, Gidget, meets them inside the front door. Sally reaches down and lifts him onto her shoulders.
- "Be careful with that cat. Remember: I got my cat powers cuz that hairball scratched me and got his radioactive fur in the wound", Felix warns. He tried to get their parents to get rid of the cat, but Sally insisted on keeping him.
- "I'm well aware of that, Felix. You gave the term "cat scratch fever" a whole new meaning", Sally remarks. Sally and Felix laugh for a few moments.
- "Anyway, we need to go over the Superkid files and learn what we can about the Superkids", Felix reminds Sally, snapping her back to reality. Sally and Felix pull up the Superkid files on their watches and an introduction appears on their screens.
- "These files contain information on the various "Superkids" or individuals born with DNA mutated by the radiation resulting from the Nuclear Apocalypse. D.A.N.G. has made a great effort to gather intel on as many of the aforementioned individuals as possible. These "Superkids" may be D.A.N.G.'s best hope for stopping evil forces that conspire against D.A.N.G. and against the "Superkids" themselves", the introduction reads. Sally and Felix press the "OK" button at the end of the introduction and a list of names takes its place on their screens. Two names on the list stand out.
- "Saladora Jean Blitzer and Felix Ryan Blitzer", Sally and Felix read together, "According to this, WE are Superkids".
- "Michael's in here too", Felix points out, showing Sally where the name "Michael Clyde Drayren" is at in the list.
- "Are we gonna have to go search for all of these people?" Sally asks.
- "If we took the time to find them all, our enemies would wipe out D.A.N.G. before we were even halfway done. Let's just search out the ones who can be the most help to us for now. We'll search for the others later", Felix suggests. Sally and Felix go through the list of Superkids to determine which ones to seek out.
- "Penelope Ann Irons: technopath, Marcus Aaron Lyon and Mavis Julia Lyon: spirit mediums, Alena Lauren Kristy: de-braining", Felix reads off.
- "Eew, de-braining sounds gross", Sally remarks.
- "It says Alena has the power to make other people stupider", Felix explains.
- "In that case, I definitely wanna find that girl", Sally responds, laughing. Felix returns to the list of Superkids.
- "Darlia Jennifer Annstein: super-intelligence and healing, Ezekiel Keith Castor: magician, Luna Violet Boltright: lightning control, Nadia Morgan Crystal: divination, Poppy Ophelia Piercen: size alteration, Andrew Ronald Brakken: animation", Felix reads off.
- "Since when is making cartoons a superpower?", Sally asks.
- "It doesn't mean cartoons in this case. Andrew can bring inanimate objects to life", Felix explains. He returns to reading the list.
- "Pedro Oliver Chavez: invisibility, Ritchie Ethan Leonard: phasing through solid objects, Norman Cirrus Rayne: weather control, Julianne May Rayne: light manipulation, Robin Bernard Naturia: control over plants, Brandi Ellen Naturia: control over animals", Felix reads off.
- "We need to get started finding the other Superkids. There's 100 Superkids in this list. If you take away the two of us and Michael, that leaves 97 left for us to track down. Even if we aren't going to search out all of them right now, we should split up to search for the ones we do want to find. You take the UFO, i'll simply use my speed to search for them", Sally suggests.
- "Sounds like a plan to me", Felix replies. Sally runs off at breakneck speed, while Felix boards the flying saucer, starts it up, and flies away.
- The first place Sally stops is the Area 51 D.A.N.G. base. She retrieves her cell phone, and then hears someone walking towards her. A strawberry blonde-haired girl in a white skirt walks into the room, her eyes seemingly staring into space.
- "I had a vision that you would come looking for me, so I went to find you first. I had a second vision showing me that you would come to this base to retrieve your cell phone, so I knew right where you would be", the girl explains.
- "You must be Nadia", Sally responds, "your files said you could predict the future".
- "That is correct", Nadia confirms, "Right now, my powers are telling me this base is about to be attacked by robots sent by our enemies and we will find more UFOs like the one you and your brother fled this base in when you were here before". Right on cue, an explosion rocks the base. Sally and Nadia rush out into the hallway to see a bunch of robots blasting their way through the base.
- "This way", Nadia yells. She leads Sally to the hangar where the first UFO had been found. There are two identical hangars on each side of that one.
- "Each of the other four hangars has a UFO in it that is identical to the one you and your brother found", Nadia explains. The four other hangars suddenly open by themselves.
- "Did you do that?", Sally asks Nadia.
- "No. Pedro did" Nadia answers, "You already know this, but he can turn invisible". A blonde Hispanic boy in a green muscle shirt and blue jeans appears in front of them.
- "I suggest we get in one of these flying saucers and GET THE HECK OUTTA HERE", Pedro yells. Sally, Nadia, and Pedro pick a flying saucer and climb on board. They fly out of the base and see the robots below them.
- "We really should take them out before they completely destroy the base", Sally suggests. Pedro walks over to the controls for the UFO's laser weapons. He takes aim and fires the lasers at the robots. He manages to decapitate the robots one after another.
- "Headshot! Another headshot!", Pedro yells as he takes out the army of robots, managing to "headshot!" them all.
- "I met up with Pedro while on my way to find you. We fought several robots like those. Pedro seems to get a big kick out of shooting their heads off", Nadia explains to Sally.
- "I grew up playing first-person shooter video games. How do you think I got so got at pulling off headshots?", Pedro remarks as the last robot falls. Sally pulls up the Superkids list on her Watch.
- "You don't need to keep pulling that up", Nadia tells Sally, "I can forsee the locations of whatever Superkid or Superkids you are looking for. Right now, I predict we should head for an area north of here that was known as Las Vegas before the Nuclear Apocalypse". Sally turns the flying saucer north, and they zoom away.
- Felix flies to the group of islands formerly known as Hawaii. He sees a thunderstorm suddenly appear over a volcano on the largest island, and realizes the volcano is erupting. Felix flies his UFO straight into the thundercloud, then beams himself down next to a dark-haired boy with tanned skin wearing a blue tank top and blue shorts standing on the edge of the volcano under the cloud.
- "Are you Norman Rayne?", Felix asks the boy.
- "Yes", the boy answers, "I'm trying to stop this volcano's eruption". Norman makes heavy rain fall on the lava as it starts oozing out of the volcano's crater, causing the lava to harden. Felix returns to the UFO, and flies around until he locates a huge boulder. He uses the UFO's tractor beam to lift the boulder and then drop it right in the volcano's crater. The boulder acts like a plug, blocking the lava from flowing out of the volcano. Felix beams back down next to Norman.
- "Me and my sister are gathering Superkid allies to combat an enemy that is threatening our parents and several others", Felix explains, "We could really use your help".
- "I know all about D.A.N.G. and the attacks on it's bases. I've been running the D.A.N.G. base located here in these islands and monitoring this volcano at the same time", Norman responds, "I'm gonna have to pass on your offer since I kinda need to look after my own D.A.N.G. base. I know of a group of "Superkids", as you call them, that would be eager to team up with you. head to the eastern side of the country until you reach what was once the state of Tennessee. The individuals I'm referring to can be found in the part of that area that was called Nashville". Felix waves good-bye to Norman then gets back in his UFO and heads east as fast as he can.
- Sally, Nadia, and Pedro arrive in what was once Las Vegas. The place is littered with busted slot machines, weird coins, poker chips, and empty bullet shells. A near-identical blue-haired boy and girl in matching red shirts and blue jeans are riding around in a golf cart. Sally runs up to the golf cart, stopping it in its tracks.
- "Harley Brian Pierre and Harlee Jade Pierre, I presume", Sally explains, "My data says Harley has camouflaging powers and Harlee has color-changing powers".
- "That would be us", the boy and girl answer.
- "We want you two to join our team and help us combat whoever it is that is attacking D.A.N.G. bases", Sally explains.
- "We'll help you, if we can bring our golf cart with us. It's all we have left of our parents. Funny thing: When our parents were expecting a baby, they decided to pick a gender-neutral name for it, since they didn't know the baby's gender. They chose the name Harley and then wound up having us. Boy and girl twins. They decided to name BOTH of us Harley, but slightly change its spelling for one of us so our first names wouldn't be exactly the same", Harley and Harlee explain. Sally signals and her UFO appears overhead, Pedro at the controls. Sally climbs in the back of the twins' golf cart, and signals to Pedro, who beams up the golf cart with all three of them in it.
- "You brother is en route to a place called Nashville, which is in the eastern part of the country. We should head north. There are Superkids in Alaska that you are interested in, right Sally?", Nadia asks.
- "Sounds good to me", Sally answers, and the UFO heads north in a hurry.
- Felix arrives in the city formerly known as Nashville. The city is slowly crumbling away. Fallen skyscrapers have blocked off some road. Felix lands his UFO in what appears to be an old music hall whose roof is long since collapsed. He uses the Superkid List as a guide and his watch guides him to the Superkids indicated to be in the area. There are three female Superkids and one male Superkid nearby: Alena Lauren Kristy, Luna Violet Boltright, Brandi Ellen Naturia, and Robin Bernard Naturia. Felix spots two of them, Robin and one of the girls, in the abandoned city zoo. Both of them have bright brunette hair. Robin is wearing a green shirt with pockets and khaki shorts while the girl has on a yellow shirt and white khaki miniskirt. They both are wearing a type of shoes Felix remembers as being called crocs. The abandoned zoo is overrun with the descendants of the animals it once housed. The female Superkid seems to be feeding them, and the animals seem to be obeying her commands. Felix steps forward and introduces himself.
- "I'm Felix Blitzer", he tells them, "You two must be Brandi Naturia and Robin Naturia".
- "Right", Brandi and Robin confirm, "We pretty much live here in this zoo with our friends Alena and Luna. All four of us are orphans". Two girls walk into the zoo. The first girl has long brown hair and is wearing a blue and pink blouse and bright yellow sneakers. The second girl has equally-long white hair and is wearing a bright yellow skirt, black shorts, and purple dress shoes Felix realizes they must be Alena and Luna. Felix tells the four of them about D.A.N.G., the attacks on said agency's bases, and the Superkids.
- "We dislike fighting and would just as soon stay here in this zoo away from all of that", Brandi and Robin explain.
- "Unlike Brandi and Robin, We would be glad to put our powers to good use and fight the good fight", Alena and Luna declare, "We will come with you". Alena and Luna say their good-byes to Brandi and Robin. Robin makes thick vines grow all the way to the abandoned music hall, giving Felix, Alena, and Luna a shortcut to where the Flying Saucer is parked. Felix flies the UFO west, deciding he is going to go to the D.A.N.G. base in Japan and then contact his sister to see how many Superkids she's gathered. As he approaches the Pacific Ocean, the UFO is suddenly caught in a tractor beam, and pulled downward. Felix looks out the window and sees the Hollywood sign he and his sister put back together below him. The UFO is pulled into a building beyond the hill where the sign is, and vanishes.
- Sally, Nadia, Pedro, Harley, and Harlee arrive in Alaska. They are hard-pressed to land the UFO, or locate the Superkids they came to find, as a freak snowstorm hit right after they left Canada.
- "I'll guide us to the targets. We're looking for Bonnibelle Teresa Arkbright, who is a hypnotist, and Jack Elvis Breacher, who can open wormholes at will", Nadia suggests, "Both targets are in that village". Nadia points to the collection of buildings that has appeared out of the blizzard. Nadia directs Sally to land the UFO on the roof of a wide building. a wormhole opens up in side the UFO the moment they land. A boy and girl step out of it.The boy has dark brunette hair and is wearing a thick yellow parka over an orange long-sleeve shirt, grey pants, and fluffy red boots. The girl has blonde hair and is wearing a puffy brown and white skirt and fluffy pink boots.
- "All right you alien jerks. Get your freaking UFO off my house!", the boy yells.
- "Calm down. These are clearly teenagers, not aliens", the girl insists, "Sorry about Jack here. He freaks out easily. Anyway, my name's Bonnibelle, but you can call me Bonnie".
- Nadia gets another vision, then turns to Sally.
- "I just saw your brother captured. His UFO was pulled into a building past a hill with a big HOLLYWOOD sign on it", she tells Sally.
- "I know where that is. I was there with my brother not too long ago. we put that big HOLLYWOOD sign back together", Sally remarks. She points the UFO south and flies off in a hurry. Arriving at the HOLLYWOOD sign, Sally lands the UFO near a big building beyond the hill. Nadia uses her powers to peek inside and confirms that Felix is inside the building. Jack opens up a wormhole that brings the out directly beside Felix. Felix is in a cell with two female Superkids whom Sally recognizes as the Kristy sisters Alena and Luna. Bonnie quickly hypnotizes a nearby guard into unlocking the cell door. After the door is open, Felix delivers a swift punch to the side of the guard's head, knocking him out.
- "Didn't want him to alert whatever villain he's working for to our escape", Felix remarks. The ten Superkids make there way through hallway after hallway until they come to a large room where they see robots and drone planes rolling off of assembly lines.
- "Get those Superkids!", a feminine voice yells and every robot and drone in the room comes to life and moves towards the Superkids. Luna fires lighting bolts at the assembly lines, shorting them out so no more robots or drone can be manufactured. A drone fires two missiles at Bonnie, but Jack opens a wormhole directly in front of her and the missiles disappear into it. Bonnie tries to hypnotize a robot and gain control of it, but is surprised when someone else is fighting her for control of it.
- "There's a techopath in here somewhere. He or she is controlling these robots and drones and is fighting to keep me from hypnotizing them", Bonnie informs the other Superkids. Sally spots a control panel inside a glass room suspended above the floor on the other side of the room. The shadow of a person is visible inside it.
- "Care to try the Cat-apult Special?", she asks Felix. Felix transforms into a housecat and jumps up onto Sally's shoulder. Sally runs forward towards the control panel. Sally suddenly stops running, sending Felix flying forward. He shifts into a tiger and crashes through the glass. The person in the control room is a blonde-haired (a brighter blonde than Bonnie's) teenage girl in a dark blue skirt, pink overalls, and yellow boots. Felix recognizes her, having seen her in the Superkids list.
- "Penelope Ann Irons?", Felix asks in amazement, "You're a Superkid just like us. You should be helping us, not trying to murder us".
- "The only person I'm helping is my daddy", Penelope declares, "He's gonna get rid of D.A.N.G. and I'll do away with you goody-two-shoes Superkids. Then, my dad will take control of this wretched world and make some much-needed improvements to it". Penelope presses a button on the control panel and weird energy waves bombard all the Superkids in the room. The only Superkids unaffected are Felix and Penelope, who are behind the control panel and out of the waves' reach. After a few seconds, Penelope turns off the energy waves. Sally tries to charge at Penelope, but discovers that her speed is gone.
- "I just took away your friends' powers for a while", Penelope explains to Felix. Felix turns into a lion and pounces at Penelope, but she makes two big metal claws descend from the ceiling and grab him in midair.
- "Hang around a while", Penelope remarks. She laughs maniacally as a man walks into the room.
- "Daddy I snagged one Superkid and de-powered all the rest", Penelope points out.
- "Good job sweetie!", her father congratulates her. As the two of them walk out of the room, Penelope's father mutters something about the final step of his "master plan". Once the door closes behind Penelope and her father, Felix turns into a kitten and slips out of the claws. He lands on his feet behind the control panel and shifts back to human form. He presses a button on the control panel and the Superkids are hit with more energy waves. This time, the waves restore their powers. Luna blasts the door off of its hinges with a lightning bolt. The Superkids head down the hall until they hear the voices of Penelope and her father. Pedro turns invisible and sneaks down the hall, following their voices.
- "Soon I, Henry Wulfric Irons, will control the entire world", Penelope's father declares. Pedro sneaks into the room and sees Penelope and Henry atop a giant laser cannon thing. Pedro makes himself visible. As the other Superkids enter the room, Pedro addresses Henry.
- "Why do you want to control the world, what do you have against D.A.N.G., and what does this giant laser thing do?", Pedro demands.
- "This "laser thing" will send a signal to a group of satellites orbiting the Earth, which Penelope so graciously hacked for me. My daughter has reprogrammed these satellites to, upon receiving the signal, launch a calculated strike on every D.A.N.G. base on the planet, sending a signal to each base that will activate that base's self-destruct sequence, which each base has as a last resort in case the bases were compromised or infiltrated", Henry explains, "I was the one who had D.A.N.G. install a self-destruct sequence in each base in the first place. This isn't too far from what my grandfather did not so long ago. The United States President decided every country should shoot its nukes into space and then never manufacture nuclear weapons again. A group of scientists, led by my grandfather, took offense to the president's plan. Granddad tried to talk the president out of it, but the president wouldn't listen to him. This caused granddad to concoct a sinister plan to stop the president. He hacked into every nuclear weapon storage facility on the planet. He failed to stop all the nukes from launching, so he decided to just detonate them all. The event resulting from that detonation is what you call the Nuclear Apocalypse". Henry starts laughing maniacally.
- Henry aims the laser upwards and presses a button, which makes the roof open up. Before he has a chance to fire, dark storm clouds appear in the sky without warning. A bolt of lighting strikes down right near the platform Henry is standing on, knocking him backwards.
- "Did you do that?", Sally asks Luna.
- "It wasn't me. I can control lighting, but not create the storms themselves", Luna explains. Michael Drayren flies down into the room and lands on the platform. A tornado touches down nearby him and then disperses, revealing that Norman Rayne was inside it.
- "Michael showed up at the D.A.N.G. base in Hawaii and said that Felix, Sally and their friends had been hostage, so I agreed to help him rescue them", Norman explains. Henry tries to line up the laser but the storm clouds make that impossible.
- "I need time to get the laser aimed", Henry shouts, "Penelope, get rid of these Superkids". Penelope is just standing nearby unmoving, as if she's frozen stiff.
- "Father, you never told me", she cries, "You never told me our family was responsible for the Nuclear Apocalypse".
- "Why do you care about what my grandfather did?", Henry asks her.
- "What he did caused untold amounts of destruction and devastation. I now see that you are every bit as crazy as he was and I refuse to be a part of your evil plan any longer", Penelope declares.
- "Then you are no daughter of mine!", Henry declares. He pulls out a pistol and shoots Penelope, knocking her backward into Michael's arms. Michael is furious at Henry
- "You just shot your own daughter!", Michael shouts, "You heartless jerk!". Michael lets loose with his flamethrowers and sets the laser device, and the whole room, aflame in mere seconds. Michael then delivers a powerful punch to Henry, knocking him across the room. Sally rushes out of the room and appears overhead seconds later, piloting one of the UFOs. She quickly beams up all the Superkids and Henry. On board the UFO, Michael checks Penelope's bullet wound.
- "She needs help right away!", Michael declares, "Sally, are there any Superkids with healing powers?". Sally quickly looks up Darlia Jennifer Annstein, a Superkid with the aforementioned powers that Sally remembers being in the Superkids list. Sally quickly flies the UFO to Florida and locates Darlia in a place the UFO's navigation system calls Miami. They quickly spot the person they are looking for: a girl with shoulder-length brunette hair wearing a pink shirt, yellow pants, and light blue Mary Janes. Sally and Michael rush Penelope to Darlia, and then explain everything that has happened. Darlia places a hand over Penelope's wound and the wound begins to glow. When the glow dims Darlia lifts her hand to reveal she has a bloody bullet palmed and Penelope's wound is completely healed.
- "That's amazing", Michael remarks as Penelope comes to.
- "You saved me?", Penelope wonders, "even after all I did to you?".
- "We're Superkids. It's what we do", Michael insists, "Besides, Penelope, I find you adorable". Penelope blushes. Michael carries Penelope back to the UFO, even though she insists she can walk just fine. Darlia follows the to the UFO as well.
- "If you Superkids are gonna fight any more villains, you're gonna end up needing me again because you're bound to hurt yourselves", Darlia insists, "So I'm coming along with you". Michael, Penelope, Sally, and Darlia enter the UFO to find Henry locked in a cage. He's still unconscious from where Michael punched him.
- "We're gonna turn him over to D.A.N.G. when we get to Japan. They will lock him away somewhere so he can't cause any more harm" Felix informs them. Sally takes the controls, and the UFO heads east, vanishing within seconds.
