(9:54:49 PM) ***Reise enters her apartment with a grateful sigh. If it weren't for the fact that Sigil has no seasons, she would swear the days are just getting longer and longer. Still, with Khaira and Uytana out as the former drags the latter around for soul-made ice cream, she apparently has the place to herself for a moment...so she practically collapses face-down on the couch.
(9:57:29 PM) Feldi: There's the sound of obnoxious slurping of a drink from the kitchen.
(9:57:57 PM) Reise: "If that's not Linny, Krystal, or Eden, I'm calling the cops."
(9:58:05 PM) Reise: Her voice is muffled by faux leather.
(9:58:44 PM) Feldi: The laughter at that is definitely Linny's.  "So, you'd call yourself?"
(10:01:24 PM) Reise: "Not everybody knows that," she retorts, turning around to lie face-up on the couch instead. "Hey, Linny. How've the days been?"
(10:04:41 PM) Feldi: She shrugs, taking a much less annoying sip of her drink from her position cross-legged atop the kitchen's island.  "I defended my title in the Rakdos arena, demolished an Orzhov bank."
(10:07:12 PM) ***Reise drapes an arm over her eyes. "Oh, gods, that was you? Ugh, thank the gods GP decided it was local jurisdiction. Neciel's on that case, though, she couldn't do drinks tonight because of it."
(10:08:19 PM) Feldi: "Mmm~ Think I should let her catch me? I have been looking forward to meeting her~"
(10:09:08 PM) Reise: She blows out a sigh. "I dunno. She IS a Firehair; they take their jobs seriously. You might not actually be able to charm your way out of trouble."
(10:09:30 PM) Reise: "I guess you could try, see what happens."
(10:11:39 PM) Feldi: "I'll think about it.  I'm sure if I dropped your name she'd be surprised~  So, why are you here?" Linny asks, tossing her can into the trash overhand.
(10:15:35 PM) Reise: "Just finally home. Taking a minute to relax. Stupid trips off Sigil and coming back to giant workloads."
(10:16:21 PM) Feldi: "You're going to be late if you don't leave soon." Linny comments, resting her chin on her palm and grinning.
(10:17:57 PM) Reise: "Fuck you I have until tomorrow morning I'm not going back to the studio tonight."
(10:18:06 PM) Reise: Her response is *completely* deadpan.
(10:19:32 PM) Feldi: "Ok," Linny replies, drawing the word out. "But if you miss something important, it's not my fault you didn't check your schedule."
(10:24:02 PM) Reise: "...What the hell are you on about?" She spawns an AR window with just that in it.
(10:26:03 PM) Feldi: When she checks, there is a new event on her calendar for today.  A park downtown that Reise once had a shoot-in is the listed location and she's apparently already two minutes late.  The description reads, 'Date with Moriko.  You're welcome.'
(10:26:41 PM) Feldi: There's also random floating tilde.

(10:30:57 PM) Reise: She blinks, wasting precious seconds. "...What? Wait, really? Shit!" She scrambles off the couch, dashing around the apartment, throwing clothes everywhere until she belatedly realizes she has that special ring. The apartment door rattles in the frame as she leaves in a hurry.
(10:31:17 PM) Reise: [To: Linny - Little earlier next time, bitch~]
(10:32:16 PM) Ikiryo: ...unexpectedly, there is a knock at the door after Reise leaves.
(10:32:43 PM) Feldi: [To: Reise - You still owe me~] There's an attached gif of a dog pushing into a pool.  The barbarian is learning.
(10:33:36 PM) Feldi: Linny looks up from her AR screen in confusion at the knock and makes her way to the door. She hops up to try and catch a glance through the peephole.

(10:36:21 PM) Ikiryo: ...she can't see anything.
(10:36:36 PM) Feldi: She sighs and opens the door.
(10:37:58 PM) Ikiryo: She spots a trio of girls. Jaela, Mayu and a surly looking blonde girl in a white dress. "Hello Miss Linny!" Mayu waves.
(10:38:34 PM) Reise: The park is a fair distance away but Reise is trying to cut down on intervening distance by stepping between points, teleporting here and there.
(10:38:51 PM) Feldi: Linny grins at the trio, but especially Mayu. "Mayu! Your mother dropped you off for me to take care of?" She asks, opening the door the rest of the way so they can come in.
(10:39:27 PM) Ikiryo: She nods "Yes Miss Linny!"
(10:40:01 PM) Feldi: "And who are you two?" Linny asks the blond girl and Jaela.
(10:40:19 PM) Feldi: She's smiling as she asks.
(10:40:49 PM) Ikiryo: Jaela bows. "I am Jaela Daran. It is a pleasure to meet you."
(10:41:04 PM) Ikiryo: The blonde girl grumps. "Plastique..."
(10:44:12 PM) Feldi: "Plastique...?" The blonde girl does seem familiar... "Pleasure to meet you too," she replies to Jaela.
(10:44:53 PM) Feldi: "Now, we could all stay here.  Or we could go visit another friend of mine your...size."
(10:45:20 PM) Ikiryo: "Oh? A friend?" Mayu grins
(10:46:53 PM) Feldi: Linny grins. "I think you'll like her." She starts shepherding them out of the apartment and closes the apartment door behind her. "She likes to sneak out like you, Mayu~"
(10:47:35 PM) Ikiryo: "Ooh, that sounds fun!"
(10:47:57 PM) Ikiryo: Jaela blinks a few times, staring into the air for a moment. "...oh, this will be an experiance."
(10:48:46 PM) Feldi: "If she's not in a bad mood, she will be. And they have more food there then we have here." She starts to lead the way, all smiles, though her eyes start to check the spaces near the shadows as they make their way to the Mansion.
(10:50:00 PM) Feldi: Once outside, Linny transforms into her giant wolf form and gives them all a ride they're sure to remember!
(10:53:10 PM) Ikiryo: It doesn't take Reise long to get to the park...though she makes it with only seconds to spare...it's a large, open park with a fountain in the middle of it.
(10:59:30 PM) Reise: She takes a moment to catch her breath and pull the dress she'd switched into back down, looking around for Moriko...by means of scanning for her wings.
(11:01:05 PM) Ikiryo: It doesn't take long to spot her. The kimono she wore for Reise once before is very distinctive. That and the large wings. She's sitting on a bench near the fountain.
(11:05:27 PM) ***Reise swallows and heads that way, feeling nervous for a change. She comes around the bench and clears her throat. "Hey, Beautiful...come here often?"
(11:06:27 PM) Ikiryo: She turns...and raises an eyebrow. "Really?" She sounds more amused than annoyed.
(11:09:52 PM) ***Reise blushes deeply. She's in a sheath dress, all tight and clingy, that drops to her knees, with a deep square neck and wide shoulder straps; it's dark red and sets off her hair and eyes. "Gimme a break," she says, grinning ruefully. "I had all of about ten seconds to come up with it. Not kidding about the Beautiful part, though."
(11:12:38 PM) Ikiryo: Moriko blushes as she looks Reise up and down. She's gotten the kimono adjusted since Reise last saw it, white and blue and no longer looking like she's in danger of falling out of it. "You look good for ten seconds."
(11:14:56 PM) Reise: "Thanks. Linny, ah, waited until it was almost too late to let me know she'd set this up. I...didn't even know you were on Sigil."
(11:15:55 PM) Ikiryo: "We only just arrived...we needed to pick some things up here." Including plastique.
(11:19:43 PM) Reise: "Ah. Well, I'm glad the time got set up." She holds a hand out to help Moriko stand.
(11:21:07 PM) Ikiryo: She takes it, standing gracefully. Reise isn't entirely sure how she manages to walk in those Tengu Geta.
(11:23:54 PM) Reise: Maybe the wings help with balance? Who knows. She double-checks the schedule Linny had set up in case there's details, but for now she loops Moriko's arm through hers and walks her around the park.
(11:24:18 PM) Ikiryo: She smiles at Reise. "It's good seeing you..."
(11:26:53 PM) Feldi: There's several suggestions, but they all seem to be relatively 'normal.'  Cafes, museums, art exhibits, nothing that would get the heart racing.
(11:27:18 PM) Feldi: Maybe that's the point though.
(11:28:27 PM) Reise: "Gods yes, I've missed you a lot." She sighs gently. "I'm beyond glad the Lilies took you and Mayu on, but...I do wish it was easier to meet up."
(11:29:38 PM) Ikiryo: She nods. "...I'm sorry about that." She leans in, giving Reise a hug. The Geta make them pretty close to the same height.
(11:34:25 PM) Reise: "No no, nothing to be sorry for. I'm just as bad." She wraps an arm around Moriko's shoulder and holds her there, giving her a shoulder to rest on if she wants. "We just got back a day or two ago, ourselves."
(11:37:47 PM) Ikiryo: She smiles. "We were visiting Summerholme. Lily White wanted to visit family...and we needed to restock most of the labs."
(11:48:55 PM) Reise: "That sounds nice...we were on some nowhere sphere that Q--uh, she's Blueshift now--sent us to, and we ran into that band of Abyssals that plagued you guys. I think." She frowns. "They were really dumb. I guess without the Quori ship right there, they're not bad."
(11:49:27 PM) Ikiryo: "...they are bad." Her voice is hard for a moment. "They are just not competent?"
(11:50:00 PM) Reise: "That's what I meant, yes. Not difficult to deal with."
(11:53:47 PM) Ikiryo: She nods. "...I wonder how they managed to deal with...I mean, they were very skilled themselves." She frowns. "...and I'm talking work on our date."
(11:58:15 PM) Feldi left the room (quit: Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.93 [Firefox 54.0.1/20170628075643]).
(11:58:31 PM) Reise: "It's okay, it's okay. I brought it up, sorry." She tightens the hug briefly. "Anyway...there's a couple ideas for where we could go next--a cafe, museum, art house..."

(12:03:53 AM) Reise: "Me? Sure." She leads out of the park, walking slowly, keeping the other girl tightly next to her. "What would you like to know?"
(12:04:40 AM) Ikiryo: She leans into Reise. "...everything. You are just so wonderful..."
(12:10:36 AM) Reise: She chuckles a little. "Well...alright." She explains some of her younger years to Moriko as they walk, from the way she grew up knowing she wanted to be a cop, to her first assignments and the failed bodyguarding job and up to being assigned to Sigil. By that time they've arrived outside a museum. "And that's when I got assigned here, basically. Secret undercover stuff."
(12:12:40 AM) Ikiryo: She nods to Reise. "That is...impressive. Even moreso what you've done since then, however."
(12:14:35 AM) ***Reise shakes her head. "I mean, I guess? But if anyone is impressed by anyone else, it's me impressed by you. I don't have a Mayu of my own, obviously...doing what you do, for her, it makes me wish I did."
(12:15:02 AM) Ikiryo: "I'm...I'm just doing what I can." She shakes her head in turn.
(12:18:56 AM) Reise: "Exactly." She reaches around and taps Moriko on the nose. "I think you're managing to do crazy a lot, really. More than you think."
(12:19:27 AM) Ikiryo: "...Reise?"
(12:20:26 AM) Reise: "Hm?"
(12:20:48 AM) Ikiryo: "...what would you think of someone who betrayed an oath of loyalty they swore?"
(12:22:24 AM) Reise: "Well...I guess that depends on who or what it was sworn to. Like, if someone broke an oath to the jerk who was managing that Abyssal band, no big deal. But if I had to break my oath I took for GP, that's a bigger deal."
(12:23:25 AM) Ikiryo: "...a noble family."
(12:25:03 AM) Reise: She goes quiet for a few seconds as memories surface. "...This is related to why you and Mayu had to leave your home on Rokugan?"
(12:27:34 AM) Ikiryo: She silently nods.
(12:29:41 AM) ***Reise tightens her grip on Moriko again. "Why don't you tell me what you feel like you can tell me? I can see how much you love Mayu so I can only assume whatever happened, you did it for her sake, and no way could I hate that."
(12:32:17 AM) Ikiryo: "Her father..." She bites her lip. "He was in league with ogre magi on the planet...they were cast out generations ago and seek to take the rulership of the sphere."
(12:37:38 AM) Reise: "So far, so happy families," she says, making sure the sarcasm in her voice is obvious. "And he's who you went back on?"
(12:38:59 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "I was a...servant...of his."
(12:44:11 AM) Reise: "Servant, or...?" she trails off, knowing that Mayu was a result of him on her.
(12:44:30 AM) Ikiryo: She blushes brilliantly. "I wasn't a whore...a geisha isn't..."
(12:45:31 AM) Reise: "No, no, I'm sorry," she backpedals. "I know, it's just...well, I'm sure you put a lot of effort into being one. But did he ever really treat you as someone of that station?"
(12:47:11 AM) Ikiryo: "I...I don't know. He said he loved me...but..."
(12:48:42 AM) Reise: "It's okay." She hugs her again. "Look...if it's too painful to talk about..." she offers.
(12:51:29 AM) Ikiryo: She shakes her head. "Y-You should hear about it." She hugs back.
(12:58:06 AM) Ikiryo: "...I found out that he had a plan to become the head of the house with the help the oni...and all it would take is the sacrafice of a child of noble blood."

(1:03:23 AM) Ikiryo: "...Mayu had noble blood and wasn't being watched by the samurai of the house..."
(1:04:46 AM) Reise: "I've got half a mind right now to fly out there and stomp him in the unmentionables before cutting his head off."
(1:08:26 AM) Ikiryo: "...he's dead." She shakes her head. "I broke my oath of loyalty to him and reported him to his family..."
(1:13:04 AM) Reise: "Well, good." She runs a hand along the upper bend of one of Moriko's wings. "I can tell it was a big deal for you, because that's what you came from, but...you did the right thing."
(1:16:03 AM) Ikiryo: "...he was allowed an honorable suicide." She bites her lip. "I was banished...in respect for the blood of my daughter."
(1:18:02 AM) Reise: "So now you're here, working with a bunch of people dedicated to making the multiverse safe from threats even greater than that. If it's any consolation, I'd say you moved up in the world."
(1:18:22 AM) Ikiryo: "...you don't hate me for my betrayal?"
(1:20:38 AM) ***Reise bites back sarcasm. "No. I don't, and I couldn't."
(1:24:08 AM) Ikiryo: "But my word is worthless now...I can't be trusted."
(1:27:40 AM) Reise: "Moriko..." She sighs and unhands the girl to spin her around enough they face each other. She takes Moriko's hands in hers. "First: Some *very* trustworthy people are already showing you that's not the case. I'm sure the Lilies did their research before they asked you to work for them.
(1:27:40 AM) Reise: "Second: your word is not worthless, and I think the lengths you go through for Mayu's sake rather prove you *can* be trusted. And besides--you heard me blab all about myself earlier...so you should be able to tell I'm not some paragon of perfect and right. How could I judge?"
(1:28:06 AM) Ikiryo: "Y-You are...you are wonderful..."
(1:28:11 AM) Ikiryo: She blushes brilliantly.
(1:30:41 AM) ***Reise grins with self-deprecation. "I'm a cantankerous slut with a badge, a tiny fish in an unfathomably vast ocean--I'll have to tell my boss I used her line--and an egotistical girl who thinks she has a shot with a heroic single mom and her amazing daughter. What's so wonderful about that?"
(1:31:49 AM) Ikiryo: "You are a hero...wonderful and moral and kind...you helped me when you had every reason to hate me..."
(1:33:09 AM) Reise: "What, on that pleasure planet? You mean how I helped you after almost ruining everything for you?"

(1:34:13 AM) ***Reise rolls her eyes. "And I was off duty so who cares?"
(1:35:39 AM) Ikiryo: She looks at Reise...and starts crying, hugging her.
(1:37:11 AM) Reise: The reaction comes as something of a surprise, but she returns the hug, careful of the wings, and stroking Moriko's hair; she murmurs soothing nothings into her ear as well, just letting Moriko use her to cry it out...
(1:39:42 AM) Ikiryo: She cries for a good few minutes, holding Reise tight.
(1:41:07 AM) Reise: And the blonde just lets her. She stares daggers at any passersby who give her dirty or interested looks, sort of wishing she had wings of her own to cocoon the tengu within. Or maybe living hair, that'd work too.
(1:42:51 AM) Ikiryo: Sadly wishing doesn't give superpowers. Still, eventually she calms down and hugs onto Reise.
(1:46:18 AM) Reise: "Feel better?" She doesn't let up petting her hair; it's kind of addictive.
(1:46:53 AM) Ikiryo: "...a little. I still can't believe..."
(1:47:12 AM) Reise: "I'm going to do everything I can to make you believe," she says, grinning slightly.
(1:48:28 AM) Ikiryo: "...thank you. I'm sorry for making this date sad..."
(1:50:09 AM) Reise: "It's not sad until you say you didn't have fun and I don't get my goodnight kiss," she teases. "C'mon. Let's go do a couple things, get some dinner, talk about silly and inconsequential topics like modern 'art,' maybe a stroll in the moonlight..."
(1:51:17 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "I'd like that."
(1:52:29 AM) Reise: "Me too." She leads her inside the museum.
