I am small
I am very small

I am a tiny core in the middle of my being
which moves without my will

I am not my want
which moves without my will

I am not my love, my engagement
which may be torn from me

I am the thing that survives when all else is stripped away
i am very small

the watcher, the thing that has survived
because of course it must have survived

I am an unknowing
and in trying to find what i know, I create much

I am given the things I know
and fall away and away

For I am small
I have always been small
