  10.
  11. Always carry a bunch of sonic detonators. Craft them instead of buying them. These are used for mining ore nodes (the rocks with colored minerals sticking out of them) which yield, well, minerals. A single detonator costs 4 crystite and can yield over 100 minerals. That's efficiency.
  12.
  13. Use glider pads. They're pretty fast means of transportation, sometimes even faster than using an LGV.
  14. This video is good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ileJblxDPuQ.

  18. About Repulser Amplifiers: They push the melding back a few dozen feet. When this happens, either a large number of melded creatures will appear for you to slaughter or you'll get a large quantity of azurite ore nodes that yield over 100 azurite each. If you're in the area, just pop them and see what comes out. Thumping in this area is also usually pretty efficient, as ore concentration is higher. Make sure you get your thumper out before the melding comes back though.

  20. --- FAQ ---
  21. >What class should I pick?
  22. As with any MMO, this is entirely dependent on your personal preferences, but currently there are some balance issues in the game. It is widely accepted that Assault and Biotech are currently the strongest classes.
  23. - Assaults have a very good AoE primary weapon that clears groups of small mobs in 1-3 shots, as well as some good AoE burst skills and movement skills.
  24. - Biotechs have AoE heals and damage. Also poison. They're pretty handy to have in a group.
  25. - Dreadnaughts have theoretically the highest single-target DPS primary weapon, assuming you can just stand next to your target and not be getting killed. They also have a shield on their primary weapon and skills designed for area control such as an area knock back or a bubble shield that prevents anything from getting in or out of it.
  26. - Engineers have turrets, shields and some nifty utility gadgets like a mobile resupply station that grants ammo and health spawns or a jump pad that makes everyone jump stupid high (this is useful for creating quick escape routes, quickly climbing tall cliffs that you might not be able to jet to, etc.) (also, annoying people by planting it under them while they're crafting/afking).
  27. - Recons are currently considered to be the weakest class. This is true if you're fighting in close-mid quarters, but they're the only class that can kill a juggernaut before it even tries to shoot back. The Night Hawk T2 frame is also the only frame that currently has a stealth mechanism. They also have some decent explosive skills to help clear large groups.

  29. >I just started the game, wat do?
  30. Follow the instructions on screen. You should complete the full quest line before you actually start playing the game. Think of it as a tutorial, that's basically what it is and it answers 90% of the questions I see asked in zone chat every single fucking day.
  31.
  32. >Fuck that I don't need a tutorial I just want to kill people
  33. Press K and queue for PvP.
  34.
  35. >Is [Quest Name] bugged?
  36. Probably, yes. If something looks bugged, ask in zone chat to make sure. Sometimes things fix themselves when you relog.
  37.
  38. >How can I craft gear?
  39. You can only start crafting equipment when you get to T2. Any item you unlock that isn't Accord (except for power cores, those can't be crafted at all) can then be crafted in the Molecular Printer.
  40.
  41. >Why does crafting take so long?
  42. Crafting gear and consumables takes 20 seconds. That's nothing. Bigger things take longer because Red5 need to make money off the game and this is how they're monetizing crafts - You can currently pay 1 red bean per hour to make your craft instant. You really don't need to though.
  43.
  44. >Help I put down my thumper and bald guys with handblades and purple flying fuckers are after me
  45. You're too close to the melding. Thumping close to the melding is known as "meld thumping" and is currently the closest thing to a "PvE end-game" there is. It's hard and gets harder. It's supposed to be hard. Just move further away from that big purple shit and you should be relatively safer.
  46.
  47. >What is the melding?
  48. If you had paid any attention at all to class you should know this by now. Anyway, the melding is the purple "wall" you see at the edge of the map. It's not impenetrable, you CAN go in there, but it's not a good idea as it will deal damage over time. Sometimes you can see some ore nodes inside the melding close to the edge which you can throw a detonator at and quickly run over to get the materials relatively safely.
