- Two of the nine were now dead. Taelel, head diplomat and the eldest of the nine, had died from the sudden aging. As had Uriah, the only half-elf on the council who was already pushing it at 99 years of age. The Order of the Green hand looked to him as one of their head members, and so word around the woods was that they would send units to support the elves.
- Men at arms were needed. Half the acting soldiers that made up the elven forces dropped dead on the northern front, as did many of the soldiers from Cairo of elven kind. Equally as bad, Aegnor, mightiest warrior of all elves, found himself too elderly to fight any longer. He stayed north with the forces as a tactician at this point, but on the battle field he was of no use. Cairo informed the elves they would send as many men as they could muster, even at the expense of the cities own safety, but the elves had larger worries now. They no longer faced simply one enemy to the north, but now to the east an army of Drow and other dark beings began to move. It was because of this the meeting of the nine, now seven in number, was called to order.
