Thoughts in Passing

Forgiveness freely granted to the sinners
Peace shall be spoils for the warring lords
Wickedness often follows those enslaved by their ideals
Immortal may become a flash that rots

Forgotten will be those who wished to be remembered
Unnoticed will go creatures seeking fame
Remorse so often hovers over the quick-tempered
And terror always striking at the brave

Temptation always gnaws at souls of righteous
It seems so often there is logic in absurd
We spend our days in hope division will unite us
Although I wonder what befalls those who dare hope?
