  1. >Be Anon
  2. >You’re walking to Sugarcube Corner
  3. >The sun had gone down about an hour ago
  4. >As you approached the door you heard something smash and a lot of shouting coming from inside
  5. >You reach out for the door but it bursts open, a green pony flying out
  6. >You slams into your chest
  7. >By instinct you wrap your arms around him to secure his safety
  8. >You stubble back a few steps, but were able to prevent yourself from falling
  9. >Out of the open door runs Bon Bon
  10. >She looked beaten and out of breath
  11. >Catching sight of the pony in your arms, she ran at you
  12. >”Anon, drop him!”
  13. >Before you were able to question it a green hoof slams into your face
  14. >You release the pony and move your hands up to your now broken nose
  15. >The pony lands graceful on the ground and darts down the rode
  16. >Just before disappearing into an alley he turns back to Bon Bon
  17. >”You can’t stop it Bon Bon, this world will be mine!”
  18. >You weren’t going to let this asshole get away after what he did to you
  19. >You took off after him, Bon Bon following close behind
  20. >You turn down the alley to find him standing at a dead end
  21. >You walked towards him
  22. “Hey asshole, did you really think that-“
  23. >You were cut off as the wind got knocked out of you
  24. >You drop to your knees, gasping for air
  25. >Looking around, you didn’t find anything or anyone that hit you
  26. >”Stupid mortal…”
  27. >You watched as he jumped from street level to the rooftops, disappearing
  28. >”WWWWWRRRRYYYY”
  29. >Just then Bon Bon turned the corner
  30. >”Damn it, where did he going? Anon!”
  31. >She stepped up to your side
  32. >You looked down at you, fury in her eyes
  33. >She took a deep breath and stepped away, probably quelling the urge to destroy your face even more
  34. >”Anon, go home. This is too big for you.”
  35. >You open your mouth to object, but then close it, know that it is
  36. >But what was going on? Who was that pony, and how did he hit you without touching you?
  37. >You’ll have to ask Bon Bon later, now you should get home, or to a hospital
  38.
  39. >You get home after a quick visit to the hospital
  40. >You try to sleep, but find it difficult
  41. >You shouldn’t, this stuff happens in Ponyville all the time
  42. >But to Twilight and the gang, not ponies like Bon Bon
  43. >You NEED to talk to her about it
  44. >You were finally able to get to sleep
  45.
  46. >The next morning you head out to go talk to Bon Bon
  47. >She was at her candy cart in the Ponyville town square
  48. >It was a school day so traffic was slow until the kids got out
  49. >That gave you the perfect opportunity to talk to her
  50. >You stepped up to the cart
  51. “Bon Bon, about last night…”
  52. >”You wouldn’t understand, Anon.”
  53. “What, why?”
  54. >”Because you’re an idiot…”
  55. >…
  56. >She looks at you, deadpan
  57. >”Alright, you really want to know?”
  58. >You nod, and she motions you closer
  59. >She points a hoof at the outdoor café across the street
  60. >”She the pony with the ball of string cutie mark?”
  61. >You squint to make out the cutie mark, but yes you see him
  62. >A very bland earth pony with a light brown coat and dark brown mane
  63. >He’s eyeing this way, but looks back to his newspaper
  64. >”Go over there and tell him that I sent you. If he doesn’t believe you, instigate a fight.”
  65. >He doesn’t look that tough, but from what happened yesterday looks can be deceiving
  66. >You really didn’t want to get into a fight
  67. >So, you do as you’re told and go over to the café
  68. >You sit across from the pony
  69. >He lowers his newspaper and looks at you, eyebrow cocked
  70. “Uh… Bon Bon sent me.”
  71. >He smiles and looks over at Bon Bon, who gives you a wave
  72. >”Is that so?”
  73. >You nod nervously
  74. >”Alright…”
  75. >He places the newspaper down on the table and stands, letting out a sigh
  76. >Out of nowhere a powerful for launches you through the café, knocking into vacant tables and chairs
  77. >You land about 20 feet away from your original position, mostly unscaved
  78. >The pony nonchalantly sauntered over to you
  79. >”You sure you’re with Bon Bon?”
  80. >He seemed like he was trying to hold back a laugh
  81. >You look to Bon Bon, who was just standing there, smirking
  82. >You nod again
  83. >The pony reared up as if he was going to elbow drop you
  84. >You closed your eyes in preparation of the pain
  85. >A second goes by and you hear a thud and an auditable gasp
  86. >Re-opening your eyes you see two new… ponies?
  87. >One looked like it was an old animatronic from Chuck E. Cheese’s back on earth, but a pony
  88. >Its arm was extended out in a punch and was connected to the second pony
  89. >You didn’t really have much of a view of her, the only thing you could see was her massive, off-pink flank in your face
  90. >Both were translucent and hovering a few inches off the ground
  91. >The pink one’s arms were crossed, blocking the punch of the automaton
  92. >She uncrossed them, deflecting the other’s fist, and cocked back her own
  93. >Throwing it forward, it connected with the robo-pony’s face
  94. >The face of it sent both it and the pony with the string cutie mark flying backwards
  95. >The brown pony clatters to the ground, but quickly recovers
  96. >He looks to you, then to Bon Bon
  97. >”Well, looks like we have a new development. I should probably go tell Theron about this. Catch you around, Stand user.”
  98. >And with that he runs off, leaving you dazed and confused
  99. >You pull yourself to your feet, and dust yourself off
  100. >You turn to the pink pony and find out she’s gone
  101. >You walk back over to Bon Bon, who was staring at you, mouth agape
  102. “What?”
  103. >She still stares wordlessly
  104. >You wave your hand in from of her face
  105. >She shakes her head, snapping back to reality
  106. >”I never expected you to be… Anon, come to my house tonight, around six. For now, I recommend you go home.”
  107. >You don’t argue and just walk home
  108. >Who were those ponies? And why did he call you a Stand user?
  109. >This was too much for you right now
  110. >You just need to get home and clear your head
  111.
  112. >The rest of the day is spent home, reading a book and having a little wine to help you relax
  113. >But now it was time to go and meet Bon Bon
  114. >The sun was just setting on the horizon when you set out, throwing a jacket on for the oncoming night cold
  115. >The trip across town was uneventful
  116. >Everyone in Ponyville knew where everyone else lived
  117. >The town was a lot larger than you expected it to be
  118. >As you approached you noticed Bon Bon through her kitchen bay window
  119. >You wave at her and she motions for you to come in
  120. >You step though the front door and into the kitchen
  121. >She was sitting at an island in the middle of the room, flipping through a magazine
  122. >”Keep your voice down, Lyra’s asleep.”
  123. >She didn’t even look up at you
  124. >You nod and take a seat opposite her
  125. “Alright, can you tell me what the hell’s been going on now?”
  126. >Wordless she stands and walks to the counter
  127. >Opening a drawer she rustles around in it for a few seconds
  128. >The suspense is killing you as you lean forward
  129. >In a blink of an eye she spins back, hurling a knife at you
  130. >You close your eyes and cover your face, letting out a shriek you’re less than proud of
  131. >But nothing happens
  132. >You open your eyes and move your arms
  133. >The pink pony from earlier had caught the blade between her hooves
  134. >But where did she…
  135. >It took you a second to register
  136. >You trace her body
  137. >She was sprouting out of your chest
  138. >You let out another wail and tilt back in your chair
  139. >You crash to the ground, the knife landing beside you
  140. >Bon Bon practically jumped over the island to get to you
  141. >She slammed her hoof down on your chest, a murderous look in her eyes
  142. >She opened her mouth to yell out you but the sound of creaking from upstairs cut her off
  143. >You both freeze
  144. >The creaking stop and Bon Bon let you go
  145. >You quickly get back on your feet
  146. “What the fuck was that thing”
  147. >You try as hard as you can to whisper
  148. >She looks you in the eye
  149. >”The manifestation of your fighting spirit. It is an entity that you can control with you will. Each having their own individual powers and abilities. It’s called… a Stand.”
  150. >As she said that a ghostly image sprang from her back
  151. >It was a barrel-chested stallion with long flowing hair and unusual colors
  152. >His coat is a mixed pattern of brown and orange
  153. >He just flouted there, wordlessly staring at you
  154. >Bon Bon continued
  155. >”My Stand here is named Candy Shop.”
  156. >You cut her off
  157. “You mean like that 50 Cent song?”
  158. >She gives you a quizzical look
  159. >”Who’s 50 Cent?”
  160. >Right, doesn’t have the same music here
  161. >You wave it off and she resumes speaking
  162. >”His ability is that anything inanimate he touches becomes edible.”
  163. >She points her hoof to the knife on the floor and her Stand jumps into action
  164. >Her lifts up the utensil and hands it to you
  165. >You hesitantly bring it to your nose and take a whiff
  166. >The handle smells like chocolate
  167. >You run you tongue along the side of it
  168. >Bon Bon watches intently as you do so
  169. >It certainly tastes like chocolate
  170. >Finally, you put it in your mouth and take a bite
  171. >The sweet taste of milk chocolate fills your mouth
  172. >You’re still iffy about trying the blade, but you do it anyway
  173. >You find that it is actually some sort of taffy
  174. >You scarf down the rest of the utensil happily
  175. >”Now, try to bring your Stand out.”
  176. >You not really sure how to do that
  177. >You flex every muscle, trying to force it out
  178. >”No no no… You need to bring it out with you will, no try to force it like a shit while constipated.”
  179. >You stop flexing and take a deep breath
  180. >You focus for mind on the taste of forcing this Stand out of you
  181. >Nothing happened for several second
  182. >You feel a rush from your chest
  183. >The pink mare is floating just outside of your chest
  184. >You’ve only been able to get a view from the back so far
  185. >She has a short mane or tail, a slightly brighter shade of pink than her body
  186. >No distinguishable features though from a regular pony
  187. >”Alright, now that you’ve established you can summon your Stand through your own will we’ll need to find out its abilities. Meet me in the Apple’s orchard tomorrow morning, bright and early.”
  188. >You open your mouth to protest
  189. >”We both know you have nothing better planned.”
  190. >Even though she was right you still didn’t want to let her know
  191. >You just walk out of her house, saying some less-than-nice things under your breath
  192.
  193. >You wake up, Bright and early
  194. >The rising sun assaults your eyes as you go about your morning routine much earlier than you ever should
  195. >After sluggishly accomplishing the basic morning tasks you’re out the door and on your way to the Apple family orchard to meet Bon Bon
  196. >As you walk you recall the crazy…
  197. >No, not just crazy, BIZARRE events of the past couple of days
  198. >Being at the wrong place at the wrong time ends up with you finding out you have a magical ghost inside you
  199. >This shit is bananas
  200. >B-A-N-A-N-A-S
  201. >Anyways, you arrive at the orchard to find Bon Bon talking with Granny Smith
  202. >Seeing you she turns
  203. >”You’re late.”
  204. >It’s too early for this shit
  205. >You just yawn and walk up to here and Granny Smith
  206. >”I was just telling Granny Smith about yo…”
  207. >You lean against a tree and begin to does off
  208. >You’re right on the cusp of sleep before something grabs your leg and yanks it out from under you
  209. >”Pay attention.”
  210. >Granny Smith’s voice rang through your half-conscious head
  211. >You open your eyes and blink the sleep away
  212. >Red roots were wrapped around your leg
  213. >You traced them back to Granny Smith’s forehoof
  214. >You reel back in shock
  215. “You’re a Stand user?”
  216. >She smiles as her Stand roots retract back into her arm
  217. >”Yes I am.”
  218. >You pick yourself up and dust off your clothes
  219. “Alright, what’s your Stand then?”
  220. >”My Stand is Harvest Time, it can make land fertile and take its fertility away.”
  221. >Bon Bon steps forward
  222. >”There are a lot of Stand users around Equestria Anon, me, you, and Granny are just a few.”
  223. >You pick yourself up and dust off your clothes
  224. “Are there any others in Ponyville?”
  225. >”Not recently, the last one other than us was my estranged aunt Apple Pie.”
  226. >Wait…
  227. >Hold on…
  228. “Apple… Pie? Like, from the Pie family?”
  229. >”One in the same. She had a disagreement with my family and went off to make her own apple orchard. Let’s just say the land wasn’t as good as she had thought.”
  230. >Granny Smith laughed as her stand snaked up her foreleg
  231. >You took a few steps back
  232. >Bon Bon chuckled a little at your reaction
  233. >Granny’s laughter died down
  234. >”They made the best of it though, turned it into a rock farm. Made more money selling precious stones than they ever would have selling apples. It worked out well for both families. Some of the remaining Pies have Stands as well.”
  235. >You think back to when you met Pinkie’s sisters
  236. >None of them were really that interesting
  237. >Except for Maud
  238. >Unf
  239. >But they didn’t seem to have any sort of “special powers”
  240. >Maybe it was their mother or father
  241. >Bon Bon breaks your line of thought
  242. >”We should get started. Anon, bring out your Stand.”
  243. >You step back even further and close your eyes
  244. >You do as you did last night, trying to force your Stand out through sheer will
  245. >The a rushing feeling the pink pony sprouts out of you, hovering over your shoulders this time
  246. >The pony overs a few inches over your head
  247. >Both the mares stared at the spirit
  248. >”Pink, very suiting for you Anonymous.”
  249. >Granny Smith snickered
  250. >What happened to the sweet old lady and why was she replaced by this snarky bitch?
  251. >”Now Anon, try to have you Stand hit me.”
  252. >You just stood silently for a few seconds
  253. >Bon Bon sighed angrily
  254. >”With you will power, force it to do what you want it to.”
  255. >You nod and close your eyes, focusing intently
  256. >You feel the onset of a headache as you try to get your Stand to do your bidding
  257. >Opening your eyes you find that your Stand hasn’t moved
  258. >Frustrated, you try again
  259. >Still no luck
  260. >You turn around and look at you Stand
  261. >This is the first time you ever saw her front
  262. >She is completely featureless next to a stich along her center
  263. >She kinda resembles a mannequin, but pink and mobile
  264. “Can you hit her?”
  265. >It just floats there, staring at you
  266. >You extend your arm and point at Bon Bon
  267. “Hit h-“
  268. >You’re cut of as the Stand rushes past you at the mare
  269. >You spin to see the action
  270. >It seems to catches Bon Bon off guard as well
  271. >The pony cocks her arm back, then launches it forward
  272. >Candy Shop bursts out of her, blocking the oncoming attack
  273. >Her hooves kick up dirt as she stumbles back
  274. >She swings her hoof and Candy Shop follows her action
  275. >The hit connects with your Stand’s stomach
  276. >You feel the air rush out of your lungs
  277. >You drop to your knees and begin to gasp for air
  278. >You Stand slinks back into your body
  279. >”Stands are connected to their user. If you take damage, they take damage, and vice versa. If you become too weak you can’t use your Stand.”
  280. >After a few seconds you drag yourself to your feet only to find Candy Shop with his hoof cocked back
  281. >You quickly roll out of the way
  282. “What the fuck!?”
  283. >Candy Shop takes another swing
  284. >Your Stand reappears and blocks it
  285. >”In a real fight your opponent isn’t going to let you rest.”
  286. >You block another attack, and then swing at him, the pink pony following you
  287. >Candy swipes the hit out of the way then slugs your Stand in her side
  288. >You drop to one knee, clutching your ribs
  289. >Candy Shop backs off, going back to his master
  290. >”Now, me and Granny Smith are going to attack together. Are you ready?”
  291. >You get back up, still holding your side
  292. “No!”
  293. >Both of their Stands rush at you
  294. >You close your eyes and put your arms over your head, hoping for the best
  295. >Pain rocks your appendages
  296. >A collected gasp comes from both of the mares
  297. >You her Bon Bon chuckle
  298. >”I guess we found what its special power is.”
  299. >Through the pain you force your eyes open
  300. >You look over at Bon Bon
  301. >Your stand is blocking Candy Shop’s punch
  302. >Then over to Granny Smith
  303. >Your Stand’s forehooves were wrapped up in Harvest Time
  304. >Wait… Two Stands?
  305. >The mares call back their Stands, giving you relief from your pain
  306. >You sit down on the ground, regaining your lost energy
  307. >The mares begin to make their way to you
  308. >They didn’t get far
  309. >A giant shadow passes over you
  310. >You look to the sky as a black figure drops from the hole between the tree branches
  311. >It lands between you and the mares
  312. >Standing up, it reveals itself to be an all-black griffin
  313. >On his head is a mask that looks like a skull and a skeleton was crudely drawn on his plumage
  314. >He extends his wings, revealing more painted on bones
  315. >He holds them out dignified as he speaks in a suave sounding Latino accent
  316. >”Allow me to introduce myself. I am el luchador excelente, Spooky.”
  317. >You look at the confident griffin, unsure of what he is going to do
  318. >He turns his attention to you, folding his wings as he approaches
  319. >”You must be Anon, my master has told me to find you.”
  320. >He extends a talon, causing you to flinch, taking a defensive pose
  321. >Realizing he means no harm you ease your hand into his scaly digits
  322. >His grip was firm and his smile beaming
  323. “Wait… Master?”
  324. >His smile grew even wider
  325. >”A man by the name of Brando.”
  326. >The name didn’t ring any bells
  327. >Wait… did he…?
  328. >You were ripped from you thoughts as his grip became painfully tight around you hand
  329. >Looking up you see Spooky’s face racked in pain and Candy Shop hovering over him
  330. >You look at Bon Bon in shock
  331. >”Brando’s the stallion that tried to kill me. Spooky must be one of his assassins.”
  332. >Spooky, still holding your hand, regained himself, still smiling
  333. >”You marefriend isn’t as dim-witted as Master Brando entailed. Either way, this is goodbye Anon.”
  334. “She’s not my mare… friend…”
  335. >His grip tighten around your hand
  336. >Your body begins to feel sluggish
  337. >The smile still shines on his beak, but this time looking more sinister
  338. >Your knees begin to tremble and you feel lightheaded
  339. >Black begins vignette your vision
  340. >What was he doing to you?
  341. >Sounds happening around you sound like faint echoes
  342. >You could swear her was glowing
  343. >You drop to your knees
  344. >You hear your heartbeat in your ears
  345. >It’s slow, the space between each ‘thud’ seeming longer than the last
  346. >You find it difficult to get enough air in and begin to gasp
  347. >In a split second it all came rushing back
  348. >Candy Shop struck the avian assassin, knocking him to the ground
  349. >Once his grip was removed from yours you find it much easier to breath, taking exaggeratedly deep breaths
  350. >After getting enough air to fill a small city you stand back up, your Stand appearing by your side
  351. >Spooky had recovered as well and was standing proud with his wings outstretched
  352. >”It seems my job was not complete, but this is still goodbye. Until next time Anon.”
  353. >He raise a clenched talon and struck it to the ground
  354. >”Earthquake Overdrive!”
  355. >As if on cue the ground begins to shake violently
  356. >You try to keep your balance by putting your arms out, but still fail, dropping to your knees
  357. >One of the trees near Bon Bon falls over, being pulled out from the root
  358. >Several more trees collapse
  359. >The sound of rustling next to you catches your ear
  360. >Your too slow to see it, but you recognize the sound
  361. >You hear a snap and a solid crack and then you’re out cold
  362.
  363. >Your eyes flutter open to the inside of the Apple’s farmhouse
  364. >You had been placed with care in a cozy bed
  365. >The entire family was there
  366. >Applejack was talking to Granny Smith
  367. >”Ah just don’t get it… An earthquake in the middle ah’ Ponyville?”
  368. >Granny looked nervous
  369. >”Well, it’s best not to dwell on the past.”
  370. >She chuckled nervously
  371. >”And why were Bon Bon and Anon together?”
  372. >”We were on a date.”
  373. >You didn’t notice, but Bon Bon was sitting beside you
  374. >You craned your neck in the comfy bed to look at her
  375. >You bore a wide, shit-eating grin on your face
  376. >Whether it was at what she said or the humiliation you know she felt for saying it, you can’t say
  377. >She just scoffed and looked away, holding her snout high
  378. >You attempt to sit up but pain wracks your body
  379. >Easing yourself back onto the bed Bon Bon leans in
  380. >”You broke a few ribs. Don’t move too quickly.”
  381. >You touch your side, flinching slightly from the pain
  382. >So many questions race through your mind
  383. >The one to rush to the front was…
  384. “Why was the griffon Spanish?”
  385. >She gives you a stern look, telling you to shut up with her eyes
  386. >”Later, Anon.”
  387. >She practically hisses at you through clenched teeth
  388. “But…”
  389. >She places her hoof on your chest and applies a bit of pressure, shutting you up instantaneously
  390. >Granny Smith trots to the other side of the bed
  391. >”We should probably get you to a hospital. Apple family remedies can heal broken bones THAT quickly.”
  392. >With that both she and Bon Bon help you out of the bed and onto your feet
  393. >Eat step you take send pain through your body
  394. >It seems like eons to get out of the house and even longer to get to Ponyville General
  395. >Both the mares were completely silent on the way, both shooting worried glances at each other
  396. >You would have asked, but you found it a little hard to breathe at the moment
  397. >Once you arrived at the hospital you were taken into the operating room immediately
  398. >The doctors gave you a serum that knocked you out on the way there
  399. >You woke up in the recovery room
  400. >Only Bon Bon was there
  401. >She told you Granny Smith had gone home as to not raise suspicion
  402. >You recovery only took a few days
  403. >With the help of magical medicine of course
  404. >During your stay Bon Bon visited you frequently
  405. >She also answered most of your questions
  406. >
