  74. - Something to make euclidian divisions
  75. - Something to take notes
  76.
  77.
  78. - Method -
  79. 0) Preparations
  80.
  81. 0.1) Choose a Code Execution and note the Items & Quantities required
  82. ex :
  83. Order | Code Item | Quantity
  84. 1 | 0x1234 | 512
  85. 2 | 0x5678 | 14.253
  86. 3 | 0xFFFF | 65.535
  87. 4 | 0x8910 | 7.532
  88. ...
  89.
  90. The Items for the Code Execution are called Code Items.
  91. There can be a maximum of 28 Code Items you can easily manipulate here.
  92. The identifiants can be anything between 0x0001-0xFFFF except RSE/FrLg Rare Items.
  93. The quantities can be anything between 0x0000-0xFFFF.
  94.
  95. With this procedure, you will also be able to modify a Code you already made, which allows you to write multiple codes more easily, as most of them will have an identical beginning.
  96.
  97.
  98. 0.2) Obtain all the Code Items required for your Code Execution
  99. See : http://pastebin.com/2kJpBQCr
  100. These Code Items will be obtained on Emerald. (It is easier to perform these corruptions in Emerald)
  101. After that, you will need to trade the Bulbasaur/Smeargle who hold these Items to your FrLg version.
  102.
  103. 0.3) Preliminary transfers
  104. - Trade the Pokémon holding the Code Items to your FrLg version.
  105. - Trade a Cloning Glitch Pokémon for your FrLg version.
  106. Once these trades are made, you won't be requiring more trades from your Emerald version in this procedure.
  107. If you want new Code Items, you will still need to obtain them in Emerald and trade them to FrLg.
  108. For Code Execution, you will require some more trades for a Boostrap Pokémon and a way to trigger the Code Execution.
  109.
  110. 0.4) Clone the Pokémon holding the Code Items
  111. - On your FrLg version, rename a PC Box (outside Boxes 1,2,3) and deposit all the Pokémon holding Glitch Items there.
  112. - Save.
  113. - Then, rename a second PC Box, clone the Pokémon holding Glitch Items once, and place the clones in that second PC Box.
  114. Use a Cloning Glitch Pokémon to clone the Pokémon holding the Glitch Items. (see Notes)
  115. This way, you will have a copy of your Glitch Items in case of an issue.
  116.
  117.
  118. 0.5) Preliminary filling
  119. Fill your PC with these items :
  120. Slot | Item | Quantity | Use
  121. 01 | Fresh Water | 1 | Acts as PID
  122. 02 | Soda Pop | 1 | Acts as TID
  123. 03 | X Speed | 3 | Used as replacement TID
  124. 04 | Great Ball | 1 |
  125. 05 | Poke Ball | 3 |
  126. 06 | Ultra Ball | 1 |
  127. 07 | Potion | 1 |
  128. 08 | Antidote | 1 |
  129. 09 | Burn Heal | 1 |
  130. 10 | Dire Hit | 3 | Placeholder for Item Duplication
  131. 11 | X Attack | 1 |
  132. 12 | X Defend | 1 |
  133.
  134. Slots 1,2, are here to manipulate the Item Duplication you can do with Pomeg Glitch, in order to add (or subtract) 0x4000 to the Item in Slot 10.
  135. During this duplication, Slot 5 will also be affected. Hence, an item is chosen to "absorb" that duplication.
  136. The Items in Slot 3 will also be duplicated to will allow a "subtract 0x4000" duplication. Thus, it will sometimes be swapped with Item in slot 2,27 depending on the desired duplication. (adding or subtracting 0x4000)
  137. If many Code Items are required, specific Items will need to be placed in PC Slots 25 to 34.
  138.
  139. The other Items, who are all numbered, are here to help you ordering the Code Items for the ACE after their duplication.
  140.
  141. - If your PC contained Items that you can't hold in your Bag and that you don't want to toss, give them to PC Pokémon.
  142. - All of the items (except the ones that follow) can be bought somewhere in Kanto. Use serebii/bulbapedia to know where.
  143.
  144.
  145. 0.6) Precautions
  146. Empty Day Care.
  147. Empty Boxes 1 and 2. Empty the 15 first slots of Box 3.
  148. Check up if you have all the Glitch Items you need in PC, and if PC Items are all here.
  149. Save.
  150.
  151.
  152. 0.7) Rough Look at the Duplication procedure
  153. -If the target quantity is between 0x0001-0x4001 :
  154. Duplicate the Item, then toss the exceeding amount (start by tossing multiples of 1.000 to make things easier)
  155. 0x0001 -> 0x4001 -> target quantity
  156. You can also clone a Pokémon holding the Item if the Desired Quantity is lower than 99.
  157.
  158. -If the target quantity is between 0x4002-0x7FFF :
  159. Duplicate the Item, toss 2 exemplaries, then duplicate the item again.
  160. 0x0001 -> 0x4001 -> 0x3FFF -> 0x7FFF -> target quantity
  161.
  162. -If the target quantity is 0x0000 or between 0x8000 - 0xFFFF :
  163. Duplicate the Item ,toss 1 exemplary of your desired Item.
  164. Duplicate the Item again. (This time, to decrease its quantity by 0x4000, ending up at 0x0000).
  165. Toss 1 exemplary of your item. (Its quantity underflows to 0xFFFF)
  166. Toss the exceeding amount.
  167. 0x0001 -> 0x4001 -> 0x4000 -> 0x0000 -> 0xFFFF -> target quantity
  168.
  169.
  170.
  171. 1) Preliminary Duplication
  172. If you want to subtract 0x4000 to a PC Item with Item Duplication, one of the Item that acts as PID/TID must have a quantity between 0x4000-0x7FFF or 0xC000-0xFFFF.
  173. This part is required if you want to have quantities higher than 0x4000, and every Code Execution contains a good amount of them.
  174.
  175. Thus, you need to do an Item Duplication once in order to duplicate your X Speed.
  176. - Move the X Speed stack right below Dire Hit.
  177. - Save.
  178.
  179. 1.1) Initialization
  180. - Give 4-6 Berries to PC Pokémon. (PC Pokémon not in Box 1/2/3)
  181. - Give 8-10 Tms to PC Pokémon. (PC Pokémon not in Box 1/2/3)

  188. - Fly to Vermilion City.
  189. - Save.
  190. /!\ If your Pomeg Glitch doesn't duplicate the Items you want, you will restart from there. Don't save after that point if you don't have a successful corruption.
  191.
  192. 1.3) Perform Pomeg Glitch with Decaswitch
  193. - Go to Route 6 and encounter a wild Pokémon.
  194. The Non-KO Pokémon in party slot 3 is sent to the fight.
  195. - Flee.
  196. - Go back to the Pokémon Center.
  197. - Open the PC.

  214. - Go back to the Pokémon Center.
  215. - Open your PC and check if the Items you wanted to duplicate were duplicated. (1-2/32 success chance)
  216. To check that, look at the quantity of Poké Ball in PC Slot 5.
  217. The duplication will be good when its quantity will change from 3 to ?83.
  218. -- If the Code Item wasn't duplicated, reset and try again.
  219.
  220. -- If the Code Item was duplicated, go to the next step.
  221.

  235.
  236.
  237. 2) Duplication and placement procedure for Code Items
  238. 2.0) Introduction
  239. Now that you duplicated X Speed to be prepared for "decrease by 0x4000" duplications, you are ready to duplicate all the items in the ACE list.
  240. - This procedure will allow you to duplicate Item at a time. This means that you will have to redo it multiple times.
  241. The best way to do it without losing sight of the Code Items you are duplicating is to duplicate the Code Items by following their order in the ACE list (you start with Code Item N°1, then Code Item N°2, then Code Item N°3,...)
  242.
  243. - The duplication procedure given here is for step number n.
  244.
  245.

  389.
  390. - Open the PC and move the X Speed stack right below Soda Pop.
  391. If the X Speed stack is already below Soda Pop, don't move it.
  392. - Toss most of the exemplaries of Poké Balls in PC Slot 5 to leave it at 3 exemplaries.
  393. If you tossed too many Poké Balls, go buy the exemplaries you lack.
  394. It is important to have a stack of 3 exemplaries of Poké Balls in PC Slot 5.
  395. - Save.
  396.
  397.
  398. 2.6) Managing the Quantity of Code Item N°n.
  399. - If the quantity of Code Item N°n is 0x0000, toss one exemplary of that Item to make its quantity underflow. (0x0000 -> 0xFFFF)
  400. - Convert the quantity of Code Item N°2n in decimal, as well as its Desired Quantity. (the one in the ACE list)
  401. Calculate : Toss Quantity = Current Quantity - Desired Quantity.
  402. Make an euclidian division of Toss Quantity by 1.000. Toss Quantity = 1.000*(Quotient) + Remainder.
  403.
  404. - Toss groups of 1.000 exemplaries of the Code Item "Quotient" times.
  405. (1.000 appears as ?00 in the game)
  406. Then, toss "Remainder" exemplaries one time.
  407. Your Code Item will now be in "Desired Quantity" exemplaries.
  408. - Save.
  409.
  410. /!\ Use something to count the amount of times you've tossed 1.000 exemplaries of the Item !
  411. If you toss too much or too few items, you'll end up with an incorrect quantity.
  412.
  413. - ex : Current Quantity = 0x7FFF = 32.767, Desired Quantity = 0x547D= 21.629.
  414. Toss Quantity = 0x7FFF - 0x547D = 32.767 - 21.629 = 11.138 (decimal)
  415. 11.138 = 1.000*11 + 138
  416.
  417. Thus, I will toss 11 groups of 1.000 exemplaries of that Code Item then toss 138 exemplaries of that Code Item, in order to end up with 0x547D exemplaries.
  418.
  419.
  420.
  421. 2.7) Placing Code Item N°n
  422. - Move Code Item N°n right above X Defend.
  423. - Save.
  424. If you're unsure about the position of your Code Items, you can reset and redo step 3.6)
  425. Code Item N°n has now the right quantity, and is ordered with the previous Code Items you placed.
  426. You can now repeat step 2) for for Code Item N°(n+1).
  427.
  428. - If you are at step n=13, and if you have more Code Items to duplicate, place these Items between Code Item N°13 and X Defend :
  429. Slot | Item | Quantity | Use
  430. 25 | Escape Rope | 2 |
  431. 26 | Fluffy Tail | 1 |
  432. 27 | Energy Powder | 1 |
  433. 28 | Energy Root | 1 |
  434. 29 | Lemonade | 3 | Absorbs a 0x0500 Corruption
  435. 30 | Revival Herb | 1 |
  436. 31 | Repel | 1 |
  437. 32 | Super Repel | 1 |
  438. 33 | Max Repel | 1 |
  439. 34 | Guard Spec | 3 |
  440. - Save.
  441.
  442.
  443. Once you have duplicated and placed all Code Items, you will need to move/remove the Items you put in PC in the beginning.
  444.
  445. 3) Removing the Preliminary Items.
  446. - Move X Speed to the end of the PC.
  447. - Withdraw/Toss the other Preliminary Items :
  448. Don't change the order of the Code Items !
  449. - Once all premilinary Items are removed (except X Speed), they will be perfectly placed for a Code Execution.
  450.
  451.
  452. 4) Modifying an already existing Code
  453. Many Codes have the same beginning and vary by 1-2 Code Items. Thus, modifying your Code by removing/adding some Code Items is really important to not waste time in redoing the whole procedure.
  454.
  455. 4.1) Removing some Code Items
  456. - If you want to remove the n-th Code Item :
  457. Scroll down to X Attack and push down n more times. The cursor will be in front of Code Item N°n. Toss Code Item N°n.
  458. - If you want to remove multiple Code Items, start by the ones that are the further in the Code.
  459. ex : I want to remove Code Items N°5,10,13. I start by removing Code Item N°13, then Code Item N°10, then Code Item N°5.
  460. - Save.
  461.
  462. 4.2) Adding some Code Items
  463. - First, obtain the Code Item you want to add (it may be a Glitch Item). If its Desired Quantity is higher than 99, duplicate that Item by following Step 2) (except the final part about moving the Code Item above X Defend).
  464. - Once your Code Item is duplicated, toss the exceeding amount of items to obtain a stack with your Desired Quantity.
  465. - Now, to place this Code Item in n-th place in your code, place the cursor on your Item and hit Select to start moving it.
  466. Move the cursor right above X Attack, then hit down n times. Hit Select again to place your Item in n-th position.
  467. - Save.
  468.
  469.
  470. The end.
  471. An illustrative video will come, along with a big exemplary.
