  1. You know what? I, to this day, fail to grasp the reason why Generation V receives so much hate. It had quite possibly the best story of any Pokémon game to date, with extremely memorable and deep characters, and a very intriguing theme to boot. In addition, Unova may have been somewhat linear, but is that really such a big problem? It was a memorable region that was fun to explore and was very beautiful for its time. And another thing: I have absolutely no problem with the exclusion of Pokémon from past generations. And, while I did start with Diamond Version, I would imagine that Generation V was, in a way, like Generation I all over again. No amount of past experience with the franchise could have prepared you for it, because all the Pokémon in it were newly introduced. Even veterans who started at the beginning were back to square 1. Surely that presented a new sort of thrill. If you still have any sort of legitimate reason to hate on this generation, then go ahead and argue. But I've made my point clear, and no amount of hatred can change the way I feel about it.
