<@Doxy> After getting dunked in the ocean, tossed around by a freak hurricane, and pursued by a school of angry Gorebyss, you're finally rescued by the Watchers (SEA DIVISION) and taken back to town. It's just about 5am by the time you're all more or less dry and sipping on hot chocolate at the Pokemon Center. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt at least?

<Dann-> "I think that was just kind of proven, yeah."

<@zoofman> Sue still hasn't changed out of the costume she was in, so she looks like she's sitting in a big, damp pillowcase with a towel wrapped around her head.  "I think it was his idea of a joke, really."

»» Lucian takes off his vampire cloak and wrings it, the already cheap fabric wrinkling and tearing slightly from the stress. "Well, I'm glad I had the foresight not to spend any real money on this costume."

»» Lucian sticks a hand into his mouth and dislodges the set of plastic fangs before spitting them out on the ground.
<Dann-> Now that the makeup and dirt is washed off, it's pretty clear that Dann just tore up some of his existing clothes to make his costume. If he even had to tear them at all.
»» Dann- looks around. Does everyone else seem to be holding up ok after?
<castycakes> Blintz limps by your table in a fresh outfit, followed by her flowery tangrowth carrying her wet and ruined clothes. "You're all fired for inviting me to that shitshow." She continues limping on by.
»» Lucian tears off the puffy sleeves of his shirt and leaves the soggy material on the ground. "I think Sue had a good idea, I'm going to grab a shower before...I don't know, something stupid like the Center running out of hot water."

<castycakes> "Double fired for not inviting me to a party then." Blintz responds.
<Lucian> "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."

<@zoofman> Xavier, Rachel, and Misty - who were all high by the end of the night - look like they aren't exactly sure how they got here.  And are more or less fine.  Melkore and Kevin both look EXHAUSTED - with Kevin staring into a cup of coffee with wide eyes and a ajar mouth.
<castycakes> Sven is actually pretty popular at the PokeCenter right now, surrounded by fellow party-goers who are enamored with his parlor trick of always being able to produce a cup of hot coffee from ~somewhere~ whenever no one is looking.
<castycakes> He and Tsubasa are chatting about their time on Heatran's Kitchen together while Irene and Lawrence snuggle together and share a steaming mug of coffee. Even Caitlyn is enjoying Sven's coffee.
<@Doxy> Jeff is telling the PET Sisters lots of interesting facts about Gorebyss. This does not soothe their Gorebyss wounds. Robin is under several blankets and looks like a pair of eyes peeking out from under a nesting doll.
<@zoofman> Alice, who was probably the only sober person on that boat, just looks tired.  Alex was hopelessly drunk and is currently passed out in a chair.  Jenks looked totally unphased by all this went to get breakfast at a bakery.

<@zoofman> Oh, the two lumberjack girls.  The blue haired one is looking pretty miserable.  Blondie was with you but vanished at some point.  No one saw Snapchat after the hurricane started.

<castycakes> Ben also disappeared sometime between getting rescued and being brought back to shore. Sandy and Astrid stopped by the Sven Fanclub long enough to grab a cup of coffee but are now seated across from each other on the other side of the Pokemon Center discussing something with a spread of Shards on the table between them.
<@zoofman> "What the hell does this Highlight guy look like by the way?" Kevin asks you finally.
<Adrienne> Once Adrienne's done with showering, she checks social media on a whim, and Ben's blog too. Reading people complaining about the ship disaster might be funny.
<Lucian> When Lucian is back from his shower he answers, "Black hair, dumb visor. He carries a Kantonese sword around and had a robot arm, I think."
<Lucian> "Sometimes he wears a newsboy cap?"
<Lucian> "He's also got this face that you really just want to punch."
<Lucian> "And knowing him, he can hear everything I'm saying right now."
»» Adrienne also drifts to Sandy and Astrid. "Hey, you two mind if I sit in?"
»» Dann- also wanders over the shard-fest, and watches curiously.
<Lucian> "I'm gonna get us breakfast. Dann, Adrienne, what did the two of you want?"

<Adrienne> "Bagel with ham, eggs, a spicy cheese, and pan-fried onions. Also, orange juice."
<Lucian> "Sure, but I'm carting everything here on Bryce's back, so don't flip out if they're not as hot as they could be."
<Dann-> "Could you just bring me three or four belgian waffles?"
»» Dann- pauses, thinking. "Some bacon would be great too. Thanks for going out."
<@zoofman> Kevin looks visibly angered and squeezes his coffee cup, "Oh, so it WAS the jerkwad with the Skorupi.  That bastard."  He squeezes the cup a bit too hard and it explodes, he gets coffee all over himself.

<castycakes> Adrienne, the latest post on Ben's blog is actually about the Battle Factory, filled with all sorts of accusations aimed at Vanya and the League, such as him using League events like that one to further his own personal connections with powerful corporate figures - like Nena and the Daria family, for example.
»» Lucian heads out to town to grab food for the team and some extras for anybody else from the boat who might want to eat, though obviously not enough for everyone.

»» Adrienne looks over the drawings. "Why not a spear that has a head that can mount shard spearheads?"
<Adrienne> "I don't know a lot about weapons, but couldn't you kind of have a revolving thing for additional heads?"
<@zoofman> "Well I can't do one of those, so," he shrugs and wipes himself off of coffee.
<castycakes> "I never learned to fight with polearms." Astrid says. "But that sounds cool!"

<Lucian> Sue and Alex got actual invitations to come help him but it's an open invite. The more hands to carry stuff back the better, so he doesn't have to put the warm foods on top of his ice monster
<castycakes> Sandy grabs a pair of shards and juggles them with one hand as she thinks. "Wouldn't that get real expensive? Replacin' the heads all the time? I can definitely do more research and get back to you though."
<Dann-> "With a hot enough heat source, you could in theory melt the shards into another shape too."
<@zoofman> Well, one of them is taking a shower and the other is sleeping, but you do get a volunteer. "I WILL!" Oh god when did Melinda get behind you.
<Dann-> "You'd need a pokemon that can deal with magma though."
»» Dann- looks knowingly at Adrienne.
»» Adrienne shrugs. "Honestly, I haven't put any of my shards through rigorous testing to see if they'll stand up against use as a weapon."

<@zoofman> "Oh that's fine, I'm Melinda!  You just need help carrying stuff back right?" She is probably the most energetic person here at the moment.
<Dann-> "I still think melting them together is a good idea."

<Adrienne> "Hm... Unless you're going to be in heavy duty combat, you should be able to spend a bit of time before bed sharpening shards to the necessary shape. On the other hand..."

<Adrienne> "Melting could probably work, but what about a blunt instrument with a shard core? Shouldn't that work?"

<@zoofman> "Well I'm the girl for the job!"  She skips along with Lucian.  As for the shard conversation, Kevin is listening to it halfhearted.  "Coldn't you just gild a normal tool or weapon?  Making one out of precious stones sounds like a pain in the ass."
<castycakes> "Like a tonfa? I've practiced with those." Astrid nods. "I haven't thought about a gun...or a bow and arrow."

<Dann-> "We saw an elemental bow once, actually."
<Dann-> "I wonder how that worked."
<Dann-> "It means to coat it in the material, but not make it entirely one thing."
<Adrienne> "Oh."
<Dann-> "Effective when the chosen material is so heavy that a weapon made entirely out of it would weigh a ton."

She's basically hopping in place as you figure out where to get the food and order it.

<Adrienne> "As for what my group's up to next... I think we wanted to head to Bogbirch. But I also want to ask Astrid something in private."

<@zoofman> "I'll have you know that lumberjacks are trained experts in most conventional posions, and are force fed them at an early age to build immunity to them, so ha," It's hard to tell if he's serious.

<@zoofman> "Yes, you're like dark curtains that don't let the sun reach him and its WONDERFUL.  HEY EVERYONE FOOD IS HERE!" This wakes up anyone who was sleeping and is loud enough to get everyone's attention.  She goes around and starts handing out breakfasts.

»» Adrienne goes to get her breakfast, and for Kevin if he ordered any. If not, she'll share her breakfast with him.

<@zoofman> Lucian basically got box meals for everyone.  "Oh, right," Kevin mentions between mouthfuls. "I've been working on that thing you requested, Adrienne.  It's a pretty fun project.  Not really far enough along to show anything though."
<@zoofman> Benedict hangs up with a moody grunt.  Once people have had something to eat, they start trickling out to hit the road for where ever they are going. <@zoofman> To get to Bogbirch, you all had to walk Littlerose, and then start walking south.  Unfortionately, this town is too small to have a train go to it either.  Luckily its not terrible outside weather wise, and the food really helped to get over any icky morning feelings you all might have had.
<@zoofman> Night Shade is with you, but he's a lot more hung over than the rest of you and is in zombie mode.
<@zoofman> Along the way down the road, you come across a large crowd gathering off on the side.  There's what looks like a rural park, with a fenced in area, and a booth set up by the entrance gate.  A big sign reads ANNUAL BUG CATCHING CONTEST SIGN UP HERE
<Adrienne> "That sounds kinda fun."
<Lucian> "Huh, you guys in?"
<Adrienne> "We're not that pressed for time now, right? I was thinking we could get in on it."
<Lucian> "I don't think so. Dann?"
<Dann-> "Hm? Oh, yeah, that seems relaxing enough to not ruin us after last night."
<@zoofman> As you get closer to the sign up booth you see the rules are pretty simple.  You get a big bug net, and the goal is to catch the largest bug you can.  The winners get MYSTERY SURPRISES.  And a trophie.
<Adrienne> "Oh, a mystery surprise." :D
<castycakes> There's a surprisingly large crowd gathered for the contest, a mixture of excited young trainers and what seems like traveling researchers from Bogbirch or Littlerose.

<castycakes> The chatter among the younger Trainers is mostly in admiration of Beckett and how they want cool and awesome bugs like him.
<castycakes> Bit of column A, bit of column B. There's a staff member handing out Nest Balls to participants. The nets act as Hand Nets mechanically, making it easier to capture Pokemon, but they aren't required.
»» Adrienne goes over to sign up, and asks about the rules concerning catching the bugs. Like, oare Pokemon allowed, can I use bait, etc. etc.
<castycakes> Bait and Pokemon are both allowed. All in all, it's a pretty casual contest.
»» Lucian signs himself up, "Alright, how about a little contest between the fou-three of us."

<Lucian> "I didn't get that far, and I don't have anything in particular that I want."
<Adrienne> "Bragging rights it is."

<castycakes> "Hey it's you guys! Here for the contest too?" A familiar loud voice calls at you, and you can see George and Pattie waving at your group from the crowd. They're dressed up in beekeepers' outfits.

<Adrienne> "Oh, right, the cat people."
<Adrienne> "Yeah, we decided to stop by for the contest," Adrienne says to the two.
<castycakes> The pair runs over to you. George grabs your hand and shakes it. "Good to see you again! I hope you don't think you're going to win this contest though."
»» Lucian shakes the hand back in response and smirks, "Oh yeah?"
<castycakes> "Yeah! We'll even give you a batch of our homegrown honey if you manage to catch a bigger bug than we do!" George smirks in return.
<Adrienne> "... Are you two Combee ranching now?"
<@zoofman> Pattie also shakes your hands.  "Yeah you punks are going down!  We're PROFESSIONALS at this!"
<Lucian> "Well, we weren't planning on pulling all the stops but if there's something on the line, we just might."

<castycakes> George nods enthusiastically. "You won't BEElieve how good our honey is!"
