  1. <-- Gurashi finishing up quest when yeeted a hello at their most favorite daughter Cheliyi... and it turn into a wonderful interior decoration project for a neglected room in Gurashi's manse!!!
  2.
  3. ****
  4.
  5. Your melodic voice sings into Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond's mind, "I sensed were a-wake, and... * you can feel them yawn, the colors rippling * have been sleeping muchly, so ..."
  6.
  7. You feel a slight tug within your chest and the air around you sparkles with motes of bright light.
  8. You sense Cheliyi pulling on the strands of aether surrounding you.
  9.
  10. The Tree of Life blooms from a spark of numinous light, unfurling the sefira in a display of white light. Cheliyi steps out of the centre, wreathed in energy.
  11. Trailing in a bone-chilling fog, Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow flies in from the ether.
  12.
  13. Cheliyi glomps you playfully, knocking you over in her enthusiasm.
  14.
  15. You throw back your head as you let loose a delighted laugh.
  16.
  17. You fold your wings around Cheliyi's body, wrapping her in a feathered embrace.
  18.
  19. Cheliyi smiles brightly at you, her frills puffing with joy.
  20.
  21. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly returns their focus to Dathruk Stonehilt as the dwarf sings, wrapped up in Cheliyi's embrace. "Hi, mine-child," They whisper, grinning.
  22.
  23. At last satisfied with the Goddess's gaze, Dionellah turns her attention now to smoothing the sculpture's quartz figure with a final polish, the motes about her now dizzy with excitement.
  24.
  25. Dathruk's song slows for a time as he considers the trill's work, a wistful look in his eyes before he takes a deep breath and continues his final verse.
  26.
  27. Cheliyi begins to follow you.
  28.
  29. As the final, lingering notes of Dathruk Stonehilt's song carry throughout the shrine, he lowers his lute and bows before the now completed sculpture.
  30.
  31. All at once, the flurry of bright motes dissipate with the song as Dionellah steps back to reveal the form of Arimella, Carver of Mountains rendered in quartz.
  32. You have completed the The Sculpture of the Carver of Mountains quest!
  33. You just earned 7 daily credits. You can earn 13 more.
  34.
  35. Exhaling, Dionellah Windwhisper says, "Yes. My work here is finally complete."
  36. Dionellah Windwhisper rises from her place at the sculpture's base and marvels at her work for a moment longer, her wings fanning out with muted pride.
  37.
  38. Almost wistfully, Dionellah Windwhisper says, "She is beautiful, isn't She? The shape of Her face came to me as you sang."
  39.
  40. Cheliyi listens as well, although most of her attention is focused on you as she whispers, "Hello Dad, yes."
  41.
  42. Dionellah Windwhisper turns to Dathruk, whose eyes shine with earnest thanks and admiration as he looks to the trill. At last, he manages to say, "Thank you. Aye, your work more than does Her justice."
  43.
  44. Her cheeks flushed with the praise, Dionellah Windwhisper says, "Your song, as much as I hate to admit it, inspires me. I will think of it often, as I pursue my future work."
  45.
  46. A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.
  47.
  48. Dionellah Windwhisper curtseys gracefully to Dathruk as she receives her payment for her work, giving the sculpture a final, lingering look before departing.
  49.
  50. Sighing contentedly, Dathruk Stonehilt says, "It brings a tear to my eye, it does, to see the sculpture of Lady Arimella, Carver of Mountains restored to its former glory."
  51.
  52. Dathruk Stonehilt says, "I know the trill was the one with the chisel, but without you, I suspect this statue would have crumbled into obscurity. I said I'd reward you, and I shall."
  53.
  54. Taking a small pouch of gold from his pockets, Dathruk Stonehilt tosses it to you with a warm smile.
  55.
  56. Putting away his lute once more, Dathruk Stonehilt says, "I don't know how much of songs are legends, and what rings true, but this I can say - I've dreamt of Her voice, guiding me through these mountain ranges."
  57.
  58. Stage-whispering, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to you, "I think they would be goodly together, yes. As a couple."
  59.
  60. The corners of Cheliyi's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.
  61.
  62. Dathruk Stonehilt says, "I reckon most dwarves hear Her, whether they dwell in the mines or pilgrim to Avechna's Peak. And without Her words, who's to say where we'd be, eh?"
  63.
  64. Dathruk Stonehilt's eyes twinkle enchantingly.
  65.
  66. You have emoted: Gurashi hums along with the song as it comes to its conclusion, their attention darting between the two denizens before returning to look at Cheliyi. They smile, wings flapping twice. "Ohhh... have thought the saaaame thing..." They whisper as they usher the mugwump away.
  67.
  68. Cheliyi follows you west.
  69.
  70. Bizirik, the leothin gives a short gasp of elation.
  71.
  72. A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.
  73.
  74. Bizirik, the leothin snatches the shrimp right of the air, chattering noisily as they slink up to Cheliyi, rubbing its angular head into the mugwump's hand before slinking off to eat.
  75.
  76. Cheliyi pats Bizirik, the leothin in a friendly manner.
  77. Bizirik, the leothin stares blankly at Cheliyi. After a moment its tail lifts once then thumps back against the ground with potential delight.
  78.
  79. Their hand finding yours, you ask Cheliyi, "How are you, mine-child?"
  80.
  81. You tilt your head and listen intently to Cheliyi.
  82.
  83. Suddenly, you say to Cheliyi, "Oh - I must slip into the city for a moment. Do want to come with me? Or wait at home?" They cant their head, studying the mugwump curiously. "Know the light sometimes bothers your eyeballs..."
  84.
  85. Cheliyi takes your hand easily, humming quietly. "Mm... not the best, no. But better now, because of Mister Dad and you. I can come, yes."
  86.
  87. You stare at Cheliyi, eyes wide.
  88.
  89. You have emoted: Gurashi blinks owlishly, suddenly leaning forward. "...I want to hear all about it." They say quietly, nodding once before returning to the sizable entourage behind them.
  90.
  91. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Cheliyi, "At home."
  92.
  93. You nod your head sagely.
  94.
  95. Cheliyi nods, hesistantly.
  96.
  97. <-- runs around and then goes home
  98.
  99. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  100.
  101. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "You walk -so- fast dad."
  102.
  103. You have emoted: Gurashi pauses, canting their head, then shakes it quickly, pointing. "It is boots. And," Nearby, Bizirik, the leothin snorts, licking its snout.
  104.
  105. Bizirik, the leothin chirps happily.
  106.
  107. Cheliyi giggles happily.
  108.
  109. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow clicks his beak and glances askance.
  110.
  111. Cheliyi pats Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow in a friendly manner.
  112. Muginn clicks his beak, his feathers ruffling as he blinks up at Cheliyi with an uncharacteristically fond look in his eye.
  113.
  114. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow, "It is okay, you are very fast too! In the air, yes."
  115.
  116. Your shoulders bunch as you let out a short giggle.
  117.
  118. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow tucks his head under his wing, denying everything.
  119.
  120. You gaze softens as you smile.
  121.
  122. A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.
  123.
  124. Looking down, you say, "I have booties and Bizi and spurs for Bizi and some other things that make me fastly..."
  125.
  126. A look of understanding crossing her features, Cheliyi nods her head slowly.
  127.
  128. You have emoted: Gurashi lightly taps the ground with the heel of their boot, frowning. "Oh, yeah, wonderful boots too."
  129.
  130. Cheliyi giggles happily.
  131.
  132. You pat Refined Boots of the Paladin in a friendly manner.
  133.
  134. Cheliyi follows you west.
  135. A picturesque greenhouse. (#HAH_16)
  136. This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. A comforting feeling of privacy pervades the area. The walls of the greenhouse are constructed from ravenwood beams fitted with transparent crystal and glass, allowing plenty of light through to the plants. Brightly painted sets of shutters are fitted in some spots, ready to block excessive light that may damage the flora within. Sturdy wooden tables line the walls of the greenhouse, with trays of seedlings and young plants at varying stages of growth. Some plants are immediately recognizable as commonplace herbs while others seem oddly twisted and Wyrden in nature. Vibrant splashes of color from the garden are visible through the glass panes on the north facing wall. A few sets of homemade wind chimes adorned with seashells and driftwood hang from the open panels to the west, tinkling on the slightest breeze. A makeshift hideaway of blankets and cushions has been tucked under the farthest bench, its door folds shut. A blown glass chrysanthemum lantern fills the room with shimmering amaranthine hues. A painting of Field is proudly exhibited on a nearby wall. A large golden cocoon hangs from high above here. In the shape of an open palm, a metallic sigil lies here. There are 3 vibrant sunflowers here. An exotic tiger lily lies here. A pink rose lies elegantly on the ground, discarded by a careless hand. An entrancing red rose has been cast away here, forgotten. There are 2 purple tulips here. There are 2 striped orchids here. A cluster of orange snapdragons is here. A strikingly beautiful rose, of the deepest blue, lies here. There are 3 delicate irises here. Granting a little light to its surroundings, a tulip of dawn lies here. There are 2 midnight black roses here. Cast uncaringly to the ground, a discarded yellow rose lies here. Surrounded by a faint, emerald halo, an ethereal cat romps playfully about the area. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow perches here, eyeing the area suspiciously.
  137. You see exits leading north (closed door) and east (open door).
  138.
  139. You have emoted: Gurashi looks about before settling down among the makeshift pile of blankets and cushions, holding open the door for Cheliyi. "Come - inside! My fancy forts."
  140.
  141. An ethereal cat makes a plaintive meow, looking pitiable.
  142.
  143. Crawling into the fort, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I have done a few things lately, yes! Lots of things! First Miss Afollia approved my first ideas for the festival, then Miss Tau let me into Lord Nocht's order so I have a nicely shroud scarf," she pats the voluminous fabric with her free hand, "which is -super- soft, and then I had to do lots for getting myself a spatula! And I have a magic leaf."
  144.
  145. You blink.
  146.
  147. You pet an ethereal cat ingratiatingly.
  148. An ethereal cat looks the other way, ignoring you completely.
  149.
  150. Ignoring the cat right back, you say to Cheliyi, "You have a shroud, now... Oh...!" They suddenly gasp, "That must mean you are doing well inside Order... yes? Oh - I miss Miss Tau - I hope she's doing O-K. Did she look O-K? Oh!" They clap twice. "You must be happy, yes - soft things are nice..."
  151.
  152. You have emoted: Gurashi studies Cheliyi, canting their head. "And the festival! What good news - and a spatula? I noticed that, mine-child!" They flap their wings again. "A magic leaf? So many new things!"
  153.
  154. You have emoted: Gurashi glances towards the door of the fort, then back to Cheliyi, twiddling their thumbs, their wing arched and waiting to rest behind the mugwump's shoulders.
  155.
  156. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  157.
  158. Cheliyi hugs you compassionately.
  159.
  160. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "It was a lot of new things, yes. But... mostly okay."
  161.
  162. You reach out, pulling Cheliyi into a tight embrace.
  163.
  164. You fold your wings around Cheliyi's body, wrapping her in a feathered embrace.
  165.
  166. You have emoted: Gurashi immediately cants their head the other way, scooting in, their arms wrapped around Cheliyi's shoulders. "...O-K?" They repeat for clarification, squinting. "...mine-child - what has happened?"
  167.
  168. Cheliyi exhales slowly, allowing a long fluid breath to creep from her lungs.
  169.
  170. Hiding her face in the embrace, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I... Mister Brawrur chopped down lots of my siblings when the commune was asleep."
  171.
  172. Cheliyi lets out a quiet, controlled exhale, her shoulders suddenly taut with the effort of holding -something- back.
  173.
  174. Light spreads across your back in numerous colours and hues, enfolding you like butterfly wings.
  175.
  176. A flicker of lightning is followed shortly after by long, low rumble of thunder which causes the windows to rattle.
  177. It is now the 18th of Roarkian, 576 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  178. There are 28 days until the New Moon
  179.
  180. You stare at Cheliyi, eyes wide.
  181.
  182. You open your mouth to say something to Cheliyi, but speech fails you.
  183.
  184. You think to yourself: * the lingering pastel colors soften, dim... *.
  185.
  186. Softly, you say, "Oh, Cheli..."
  187.
  188. You have emoted: Gurashi returns to silence, reaching forward and drawing Cheliyi back into another embrace, their wings drooping and folding around the mugwump as firmly as they are able. "Am so sorry." They say at last, nestling their chin into Cheliyi's hair. "This must feel awful."
  189.
  190. Cheliyi audibly swallows, pressing her face into your chest as she tightens the embrace. "It doesn't make any sense," she finally manages to whisper, her voice almost strangled. "How could he? It makes no sense, no. My siblings were not hurting him. And he... he gives -nice- hugs. It doesn't..."
  191.
  192. A dull thrum of morose psionic energy briefly floods the fort, spills into the greenhouse ...
  193.
  194. Her tone suddenly seething, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "And then he -lied-, and tried to pin it on Mister Arix."
  195.
  196. Cheliyi exhales shakily, her small body trembling with anger.
  197.
  198. Cheliyi closes her eyes and inhales deeply, absorbing the scent of her surroundings.
  199.
  200. Cheliyi exhales slowly, allowing a long fluid breath to creep from her lungs.
  201.
  202. You have emoted: Gurashi watches Cheliyi silently, their shoulders sagging though their arms remain firmly wrapped around the mugwump, as if shielding her from what ails her. "That is not good." They whisper, stroking Cheliyi's hair. "That must hurt so muchly."
  203.
  204. Rocking slightly, you say, "To be lied to hurts muchly. But, your..."
  205.
  206. You have emoted: Their wings unfurling slightly, Gurashi struggles to find the words. "...sometimes is something that the ... well - not-alliance does. Something that used to happen much more often. At least. When -I- was still newly waking." They look askance. "Long before you were born. And it did not feel goodly then, either."
  207.
  208. A bit of pale morning light tries to bleed through the clouds, but is quickly lost again in the storm.
  209.
  210. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart tells you, "Friend Gurashi, guess what! I got some time off to have fun, because of all the hard workings I have been doing for the Saint. So make sure you have all of your clothes on and are not in the baths, because I am going to come and visit your house!"
  211.
  212. You blink.
  213.
  214. You have emoted: Gurashi opens their mouth to say more, then stops, lolling their head back in surprise. "...ah...!"
  215.
  216. Cheliyi blinks.
  217.
  218. You think to yourself: * a sudden burst of bright apricot colors - a kaleidoscopic swirl of warm shades *.
  219.
  220. The scent of honey slowly wafts through the greenhouse, and despite the storm roiling outside the coming dawn seems ever-so-slightly more cheerful.
  221.
  222. Cheliyi blinks.
  223.
  224. Unfurling their wings fully from Cheliyi, you say, "Mine-child, mine-child, it's..."
  225.
  226. Cheliyi glances around warily, before glancing back up at you.
  227.
  228. Bizirik, the leothin immediately perks up, snorting, its tail beginning to slap the ground behind it.
  229.
  230. Cheliyi blinks.
  231.
  232. Scrambling outside the front folds of the makeshift tent, you exclaim, "Beloved Aschwar!"
  233.
  234. Cheliyi carefully peeks outside of the tent, before trailing behind you.
  235.
  236. Sand that you had not seen before rises throughout the greenhouse, mingling with dust that takes on a brilliant golden glow as it begins to swirl overhead like an enormous halo overtop the shelves of plants.
  237.
  238. Quietly, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond asks, "Mixter Aschwar is coming?"
  239.
  240. You have emoted: Gurashi wraps an arm about Cheliyi's shoulders suddenly, beaming at the sand as it sparkles and swirls all around them. They nod at Cheliyi's question twice, looking down at the mugwump.
  241.
  242. Practically bursting at the seams, you exclaim to Cheliyi, "Yes, mine-child! They finished their chores! So now they can play!"
  243.
  244. The golden sand suddenly contracts into a tight ball before shooting towards the floor, pausing just before impact before expanding outwards again like a giant archway. Through it, there is naught but a darkness so pitch that even the dark outside seems bright in comparison, with naught but the faintest glimpse of absorbed colour visible through it.
  245.
  246. You hands fly to your mouth as you give a short gasp of elation.
  247.
  248. Bizirik, the leothin tosses its head as it watches the sand, leaning forward, closer, closer, snuffling and snorting at it expectantly.
  249.
  250. You give Cheliyi a friendly squeeze.
  251.
  252. Soon, an enormous, lumbering figure can be seen stepping through the darkness. Before long, the great form of Aschwar emerges, and the glowing gold of sand dissipates at once, causing darkness to fall like so many dark feathers before fading from view entirely.
  253.
  254. You think to yourself: * the color begins to beat like a heart, rapid, fluttering birdlike - happy and expectant and-- *.
  255.
  256. LOOK GOOD PRIEST
  257. Radiant gold and inky black compete for prominence in the thick fur that covers this enormous tae'dae's body, the well-groomed hair shifting like fields of wheat and clouds through the night sky with each movement. Despite their thick limbs and eleven-and-a-half feet of height, an aura of well-being and contentment radiates off of their body, only enhanced by the gentle smile that is nearly always present on their muzzle. Glittering mis-matched eyes, the right brown and the left green, stare with a gentle warmth at the world around them, only inches below a pair of fuzzy ears with several notches missing from them. A brilliant red hieroglyph crackles in the centre of their forehead, flaring occasionally with small tendrils of red lightning. They are nicely dressed in a comfortable pair of deep grey trousers, held up by a burgundy belt of leather, and a three-layered tunic of bright red-violet cloth that fits them nearly perfectly. A hooded coat of striking vermillion hues hangs atop this, flower petals hand-sewn across its embroidery and circling the black star easily visible on their back. Light tan, a pair of strap boots are a stark contrast to their fur and have been decorated with little, hand-drawn moths. Shifting colours swirl around them in a small space, creating an aura of delightful serenity for all who pass through it.
  258. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart has an air of extreme strength.
  259.
  260. Raising their free arm and waving excitedly, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Beloved!! Oh! Beloved Aschwar hi!"
  261.
  262. Beaming with delight, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart rushes forward in a manner that reminds you, uncomfortably, of their bear-like stature - closing the space between them and you in two short steps before scooping you up in an enormous hug and shaking you back and forth as they laugh with delight.
  263.
  264. You reach out, pulling Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart into a tight embrace.
  265.
  266. Laughing as they are engulfed in gold and ebon fur, you exclaim to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Ohmygoshohmygosh I have MISSED you! Has been so long!" They pull back their head, kicking their legs, their wings flapping excitedly behind them. "We have both been busy! Bats in the night!"
  267.
  268. Cheliyi smiles gently, her frills puffing with joy.
  269.
  270. With another brilliant laugh, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart lets Gurashi carefully climb out of their arms back to the floor, nodding eagerly. "I'm not s'posed to talk about all the stuffs that I've been doing, but it's a LOT of lifting and moving things for the Saint, and she says we aren't even halfway done yet!" They huff and puff, placing their paws on their hips as they look around in mock concern for a few moments before notes of actual concern take root.
  271.
  272. Their voice a quiet whisper, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart asks, "Is this mister friend Tridemon's garden? Because I do not think he is very goodly at growing plants. These are all like little babies!" They wander over towards a nearby planter, crouching down and peering closely at the tiny green occupant.
  273.
  274. You have emoted: Gurashi sinks back to the floor, immediately returning their arms to Cheliyi's shoulders, holding onto the mugwump loosely as they smile up at the tae'dae. "Top secret secrets? A...." They trail off... then burst into laughter, covering their face with their free hand. "N-no, it is...mine."
  275.
  276. You give Cheliyi a friendly squeeze.
  277.
  278. The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Cheliyi's lips.
  279.
  280. Looking somewhat aghast, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart turns and quickly waves their paws before them, as if to ward off something. "O-oh! Then it is a...very not badly try at a first garden!" They laugh sheepishly, reaching up and rubbing their paw at the back of their neck. "Didn't I show you how to make nice flowers, though?" They sniff, nose wrinkling almost immediately after from whatever scent it was they were searching for.
  281.
  282. Softly, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Dad was talking about earlier how weirdly it is nothing will grow in here, yes," perking up at the mention of flowers, "Did you teach Dad how to make the pretty ones like the ones in your garden? With the fabric and crystal and other stuffs?"
  283.
  284. All their visible plumage puffing up all at once, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "A-ah! Yes - it - you did! And - it did! I - well, the Solarium," They point off to the separate-but-visible glass room just to the south, "I learned what you taught me to grow some stuffs there ... but - I do not know if it was counting... because, it was not really GROWING - it was manse magics. Not real plant magics? I do not know if there is a difference..."
  285.
  286. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart tilts their head as they first listen to Cheliyi, and then you, and then think for a moment, closing their eyes and humming a soft, "Hrm...."
  287.
  288. You think to yourself: * a slightly embarrassed pulse of pale green - acknowledgement of the lesson, but ... *.
  289.
  290. Rain steadily streams down the window panes, crashing in noisy waves against the walls and roof.
  291.
  292. With the steady drum of the rain, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart stands up and looks around at what all is in the room, odd-coloured eyes trailing over everything and then more as they begin to focus on empty spaces and then measure out room by holding their paws out before them. "Hrm...I think...we can make it work!"
  293.
  294. Plumage still ruffled, you say, "I-I have not really had a chance to..."
  295.
  296. You have emoted: Gurashi trails off, slinking forward, guiding Cheliyi along with them as they move to stand at the tae'dae's side. "What will work?"
  297.
  298. Bizirik, the leothin leans on Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart seeking consolation.
  299.
  300. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, tail slapping the ground behind it as it leans briefly against the tae'dae, then quickly slinks off, hiding within the folds of the tent while wearing a smug little grin.
  301.
  302. Bizirik, the leothin chirps happily.
  303.
  304. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow clicks his beak and huffs, following the leothin into the blanket-tent.
  305.
  306. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart gasps for a moment, ignoring the question as they reach down and attend to Bizirik, the leothin for the several moments they are leaned against before reaching into the aether and tossing a large pawful of meat towards the tent's opening. "I did not have time to bake anything, so I asked the mothies to get me some meat for Bizi. It is...meat flavoured! I think."
  307.
  308. Bizirik, the leothin looks very proud of itself for having done absolutely nothing as it snatches up the meat before it has a chance to touch the ground.
  309.
  310. You gain the impression that, if he could, Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow would be rolling his eye right now, but he instead opts to tuck his head under his wing.
  311.
  312. A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.
  313.
  314. Whispering as they watch, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "She will eat anything as long as it is not cinnamons~!"
  315.
  316. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a massive belch into the air.
  317.
  318. Your eyes raise to the heavens as a look of hope flashes across your face.
  319.
  320. Wiping their paws off as they look around, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart turns towards Cheliyi and asks, "Are you very goodly at lifting things, and holding them? Otherwise, I will have you help friend Gurashi with the small things while I do the bigly things."
  321.
  322. You think to yourself: * a sparkling swell of gold and pastel color painted like a watercolor - a sigh - their arm about their daughter, gaze on the tae'dae *.
  323.
  324. <-- Cheli go from Mugwump to TREEEEE
  325.
  326. Cheliyi shuffles for a moment, seemingly surprised at being addressed before she nods mutely. She pauses, and then slips into the blanket tent. A beat of silence passes, until the tent suddenly looks -much- full, and a large willow tree manages to wiggle her way out of the entrance.
  327.
  328. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly lifts both arms, peeling away briefly from Cheliyi to flex. "Wait, lifting? I can help! I--" They look at Cheliyi with a little squawk of surprise as the mugwump suddenly becomes significantly less mugwump shaped and much more tree-like. "...oh!"
  329.
  330. You boggle at Cheliyi.
  331.
  332. From the ground, bursting with pride, you say, "So tall!"
  333.
  334. Cheliyi smiles faintly, and then nods.
  335.
  336. Bizirik, the leothin lets out an annoyed grumble as the tent is disturbed and its peace is interrupted. It picks up what is left of its snack and slinks off to the opposite end of the greenhouse, settling in by the door to watch.
  337.
  338. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's eyes widen for a moment as Cheliyi stretches and enlargens, gasping with somewhat obvious delight at the process. "I have GOT to learn how to do that!" They laugh, and say, "Well, then, I suppose you can cary more, but are you STRONG?" They emphasise the question by reaching down to a nearby table and hefting it up and overhead with one paw in a smooth motion, causing windchimes to tangle and clatter as they are bumped into.
  339.
  340. (clan): Cheliyi says, "OOF."
  341. (clan): You say, "???"
  342. (clan): You say, "What???"
  343. (clan): Cheliyi says, "Typooo."
  344. (clan): You say, "Where :O."
  345. You saw nothing.
  346. (clan): You say, "I saw nothing."
  347.
  348. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I would like to think that I am strong, yes."
  349.
  350. You stare blankly into space.
  351.
  352. Cheliyi hums thoughtfully, and then picks up you with practiced ease.
  353.
  354. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  355.
  356. You have emoted: Gurashi is about to say something when they are suddenly lifted into the air, letting out a piercing squawk of surprise.
  357.
  358. You flail about helplessly.
  359.
  360. Cheliyi giggles happily.
  361.
  362. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and puts the table back down, and then looks around with a contemplative space. "Flowers need lots of space to be seen, and plenty of room to stretch and grow. Right now it is very cluttering in here, so we will have to make some room. Friend Gurashi!" They cheerfully address, looking down and then up towards where you is held in Cheliyi's branches. "We will start by moving things against the walls, and then put some supplies all around the extra space. Then, I will break the floor, and we will get a nice watering river in here for you to be getting nice, clean waters from."
  363.
  364. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart ponders the situation.
  365.
  366. Cheliyi gently sets her father on the ground, before humming thoughtfully at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's instructions. "Where will the river come from, yes?"
  367.
  368. Clinging to the wyrdenwood's branches, you ask, "W-w... we're going to break the FLOOR?"
  369.
  370. Bizirik, the leothin suddenly looks very interested.
  371.
  372. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and eagerly explains, "Yes! It will be very easy! Both the breaking, and the rivering!" They reach up and tear through nothingness with their golden claws, then again a little ways below it. After a moment, water comes rushing down in a torrent, and they laugh before saying, "See? It is easy!"
  373.
  374. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  375.
  376. Cheliyi's shadowy gaze sparkles with wonder. "That is -amazing-, yes."
  377.
  378. You have emoted: Gurashi is unable to refrain from letting out a short sound of surprise, watching the greenhouse as it is rearranged, and then quickly wetted. "Oh - my GOSH!"
  379.
  380. Water rushes from nothingness into nothingness, leaving no mess on the floor but for small droplets that splash off in a fine mist to play against your skin.
  381.
  382. You boggle at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  383.
  384. Your shoulders bunch as you let out a short giggle.
  385.
  386. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods before closing first the top rift and then the bottom, explaining, "I am very goodly at working with the Veil now, and there's plenty of places all around us with lots of water. I am not supposed to leave BIGLY holes open, because that is where bad things can come in from, but small holes are fine especially if it is in places that I tell the Shofets about."
  387.
  388. Laughing as they are misted, you say, "I-I was going to -say-... you have gotten so goodly at making those..."
  389.
  390. The corners of Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's mouth turn up as they grin mischievously.
  391.
  392. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "I have been doing lots of practising, when the Saint is not having me do work stuff."
  393.
  394. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims, "The Shofets doesn't want me slacking off, not one bit!"
  395.
  396. You have emoted: Gurashi marvels at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, leaning forward on Cheliyi's branches to watch. "Bad things can get through the big holes? How big is too big?" They inquire, fluttering down to return to the ground at last. "Ah! Yeah - you have been so -busy-! I have really missed you! Everybody has missed you!"
  397.
  398. Cheliyi carefully shakes the droplets from her branches, humming curiously. "So... will Dad learn how to do that too? Since they are following Lord Shofets?"
  399.
  400. Eagerly, you ask Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Cannot wait to see what the Saint has been having you work on - er - or, will be something can see someday when is ready?"
  401.
  402. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart places their paws on their hips and looks expectantly towards you, blissfully unaware of the fact that they have barged into your house and demanded renovations begin without any warning or appointment. "I know it has been kinda lonely, yes, but I have been doing small things to help out the Beloveds! I helped the Shofets design almost all of the new ikons that He made. I drew them all by myself in the sand, and then He made them come to life and then smooshed them down into the ikon. It was fun!"
  403.
  404. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blinks.
  405.
  406. Suddenly, you exclaim to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Wait, YOU made the IKONS that the MOTHIES HAVE BEEN PLAYING WITH?!"
  407.
  408. Your eyes bug out as you boggle in amazement.
  409.
  410. Cheliyi blinks.
  411.
  412. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart shakes their head at Cheliyi, their voice soft as they say, "There's some things that can't be learned, and have to be known. On your insidey parts. This is one of those things. I could maybe help friend Gurashi do it, but h--" They pause, look at you, and then continue, "They would not be able to do it themselves."
  413.
  414. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart beams broadly at you.
  415.
  416. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "I helped! Lots! Chose lots of things, and places, and then the Shofets did all the hardest work."
  417.
  418. Cheliyi nods slowly in understanding, her bone chimes clinking softly with the movement. "Is that where all ikons come from? I wonder Who made the ones I am always finding in villages, yes..."
  419.
  420. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly fumbles through one of the many pouches upon their belt, flipping through before pulling out the ikon that holds Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's name and likeness. "They turned out so nice! You look so neat! Am so excited for the work that did, yes! I have been talking to mothies lots and lots to see how they do!"
  421.
  422. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart shrugs their shoulders towards Cheliyi saying, "Who knows? Could have been anyone at all, but if it exists then the Shofets can make it. And even stuff that does not exist! I think. Probably." Turning to inspect what you is holding out, they gasp and say, "Oh! I am an ikon! I did not think I was going to be, that is not one of the ones that I chose!"
  423.
  424. A shifting, living poppy of amber petals displays a myriad of brilliant colours before its petals coalesce into a shade of deep cimmerian burgundy in the blink of an eye.
  425.
  426. You feel a faint sense of amusement resonate deep in your chest.
  427.
  428. Your shoulders bunch as you let out a short giggle.
  429.
  430. Laughing, you ask Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Of course there is a you-card! Isn't it great? It is in my favorites!" They turn the ikon around to look it over before showing Cheliyi. "See? It is Beloved Aschwar - a whole real ikon! Isn't it neat?"
  431.
  432. You grin mischievously at Cheliyi.
  433.
  434. Cheliyi adjust her spectacles as she inspects the ikon, her eyes widening comically as she glances between Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart and the ikon. "Oh! It looks so much like you, Mixter Aschwar! Like.. like the... Mm... the wizzer box! That makes the big flash and hurts your eyes, and then makes a nicely drawing!"
  435.
  436. You pat a wizzer image box in a friendly manner.
  437.
  438. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods their head and says, "Well, of course it does! The Shofets made it, so it is perfect." They smile a happy little smile at that, moving their head left and right in a small bob of contentment.
  439.
  440. Cheliyi hums softly, her leaves resonating in tune with a set of bone chimes affixed to her branches.
  441.
  442. You think to yourself: * a silvery skein of anticipation - a wash of warm sunset hues *.
  443.
  444. Bobbing their head side to side to mimic the motion, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "It is, it is!"
  445.
  446. Nodding sagely, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "That makes sense, yes."
  447.
  448. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart pauses, then reaches up and puts a claw to their lips. "Uh...I forget what it was we were going to be doing before we started talking about ikons..." A faint blush colours their cheeks even beneath their thick fur, and they exclaim, "Sorry!"
  449.
  450. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  451.
  452. You have emoted: With utmost care, Gurashi tucks the ikon back into its safe spot before returning their attention to the greenhouse. "I was just about to ask what we were doing before I was excited about ik-- OH."
  453.
  454. You point off into the wild blue yonder.
  455.
  456. Pointing at the wet ground and pushed-aside furniture, you say, "Space!"
  457.
  458. Cheliyi squints, and then asks, hesitantly, "... breaking the floor?"
  459.
  460. Bizirik, the leothin perks up again.
  461.
  462. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow looks awfully excited at the prospect of property damage.
  463.
  464. Throwing their arms into the air and flapping excitedly, you say, "Breaking the FLOOR!"
  465.
  466. Muginn ruffles his feathers, stirring up puffs of fog.
  467.
  468. With a gasp of delight, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart slams a fist of a paw into its open companion, exclaiming, "Yes! After we move everything out of the way! Friend Gurashi has to choose where things are going to be going." They begin pointing and explaining in a runaway, talkalot manner, "See, 'cos you want lots of space for flowers to feel like they are appreciated but are also with their friends, and vines especially like to go up against walls so if we put a nice little lattice made out of wires behind..." It does not appear as though they are going to run out of breath any time soon.
  469.
  470. You have emoted: Gurashi nods in rapid time to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's excited speech, their wings flapping a few times to bring them closer to their priestly friend once more. "Pick where things are going? Oh," They raise both hands and shake their head. "I will be happy if you two help me! I-I only knew that wanted to have a place to grow stuffs! But..."
  471.
  472. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blinks before coming to their senses, stirred out of their long-winded speech and nodding eagerly towards you. "Of course! It is what friends doing." Looking back up, they say, "We've got lots of room in here, so once we get everything sorted and that rain stops being so raining, then you will have a very goodly greenhouse."
  473.
  474. You think to yourself: .. once the rain stops being so ....
  475.
  476. Cheliyi listens intently to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, her branches still as she contemplates their words and plans. "Perhaps... there should be a tiny bridge, too?" she adds, "Or maybe little stones! To hop across and get your feet or rooties or paws a -little- wet but not too muchly."
  477.
  478. You think to yourself: * the sound of rainwater crashing against the glass roof draws their attention upward - a brief wash of blue-green *.
  479.
  480. You lazily draw your wings to and fro through the air, fanning them slowly.
  481.
  482. You tilt your head and listen intently to Cheliyi.
  483.
  484. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's eyes widen at Cheliyi's suggestions before they nod eagerly and smile brilliantly. "It will be very nice! I know how to make very strong bridges, and I have lots of pretty rocks in my garden at home that I can share."
  485.
  486. Cheliyi smiles, her lips softly creaking with amusement.
  487.
  488. Suddenly, you say to Cheliyi, "Oh - is actually sounding really nice...!" They blink owlishly, turning to Aschwar. "You DO? Oh! O-only if have ones to share! That is kindly of you to share!"
  489.
  490. You flail about helplessly.
  491.
  492. Cheliyi slowly nods to you, her leaves rustling softly.
  493.
  494. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, staring expectantly at the unbroken ground beneath everyone's feet.
  495.
  496. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart asks, "So, where do you want us to be beginning?"
  497.
  498. With creaking amusement, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Bizirik, the leothin, "We have to move things first, yes."
  499.
  500. Looking at the already scooted table before looking at the messy pile of sheets that formed a once-tent, you say, "Ah - that hard moving part is almost done, so..."
  501.
  502. With some trepidation, you say, "Have feeling that breaking floor should come BEFORE doing other things? Because breaking does not usually happen -quietly-."
  503.
  504. Blankly, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "But...if we do not have all the space we need, then how will we know where we can safely break to have the nicest river?"
  505.
  506. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly looks up at the glass walls and ceiling in alarm. "Will breaking the floor break the rest of the room, wonder..."
  507.
  508. You ponder the situation.
  509.
  510. You think to yourself: Can make the walls again...
  511.
  512. Brightly, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims, "There is only one way to be finding out!"
  513.
  514. You have emoted: Gurashi reaches out, resting their hand against the glass. The surface instantly fogs up around their hand, warmed by the sudden contact.
  515.
  516. You blink.
  517.
  518. Cheliyi hums thoughtfully, inspecting the walls. "If we do not shake the floor too muchly, it should be fine. Maybe a sharp thingy, like a chisel?"
  519.
  520. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blinks and looks suspiciously between you and Cheliyi before holding up a paw and flexing, causing the golden claws there to appear even sharper for a few moments. "I am very goodly at cutting glass."
  521.
  522. With a small grin, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "How do you think I am making so many nice flowers?"
  523.
  524. Comprehension flashes across Cheliyi's face.
  525.
  526. With a conspiratorial whisper, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims, "Plus! I know how to use swords now!"
  527.
  528. You have emoted: Gurashi looks to be at a loss of words, their mouth locked in a somewhat permanent 'o' as they bounce up and down in their spot, looking excitedly between Cheliyi and Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  529.
  530. Cheliyi ponders the situation.
  531.
  532. You think to yourself: * a chaotic, kaleidoscopic swirl of color - a tendril of blue, working its way across like a serpent *.
  533.
  534. Suddenly and thoughtfully, you say, "There are lots of places for a river to run off to in my manse..."
  535.
  536. You have emoted: Gurashi points towards the north. "There is the pool in the middle of the garden by the willow, and, back to the east is uhm, where the lakes and ponds are, so is plenty of places for it to -go-...." They look down at their feet. "Is the ground high enough here though that will do the flowing right? Wonder, wonder..."
  537.
  538. Nearly bouncing if not for her branches brushing the ceiling, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "This is -so- cool."
  539.
  540. Slowly, moving so as not to be readily noticed by you, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart reaches down and lifts up the table closest to them before taking small steps towards the wall.
  541.
  542. Cheliyi glances curiously at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart but keeps the glance subtle enough that you would be unlikely to notice. She hums, and bundles up the remains of the blanket-tent, placing them atop a spare table.
  543.
  544. Just as gently, and slowly, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart sets the table down and slowly begins sidling over to grab the next table, repeating the motion.
  545.
  546. Comprehension flashes across Cheliyi's face.
  547.
  548. You give a horrified gasp.
  549.
  550. Suddenly, you exclaim, "Ah! I can move! Things!"
  551.
  552. You have emoted: Gurashi immediately flutters over to the tent's remains, gathering up the cloth before yeeting it into the corner of the greenhouse. "O-K O-K!"
  553.
  554. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blinks as they are caught, and laugh sheepishly before saying, "No, no! Friend Gurashi, you are very small and we are very big, so it is fine for us to move the heavy things. You just need to tell us where they are supposed to go."
  555.
  556. Cheliyi follows suit, her steps oddly muffled for such a large tree. Taking a table in her branches, she carefully loops a vine down the center and moves it over to where Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart has been moving the furniture.
  557.
  558. Cheliyi nods slowly, her chimes clinking against one another in a soft melody.
  559.
  560. Covering their face, you say, "Ah! Just - off to the sides! Uhm - against the south? Because, do not want to block the door - because of the garden, and..."
  561.
  562. Taking the instruction with a smile, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart leans down and - without the need for subtlety - lifts two tables at once before lumbering across the greenhouse and setting them down. "You can move all of the baby plants so they are not accidentally knocked over anywheres."
  563.
  564. You have emoted: Gurashi gestures towards the wall sheepishly, their wings flapping out-of-sync behind them. "Ah - I will! I will!" They salute before whipping around and beginning to do just that, collecting plants two at a time and bringing them over to the rearranged tables. They whisper to the plants as they do so, an excited and determined look upon their face.
  565.
  566. You think to yourself: Going to grow such goodly real whole plants.
  567.
  568. You think to yourself: Will be happy plants yes.
  569.
  570. Bizirik, the leothin flops down onto the ground.
  571.
  572. Bizirik's head begins to droop. It opens its great maw and curls back its lips to allow its forked tongue to unfurl as it yawns before snapping its mouth shut.
  573.
  574. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods at Cheliyi and continues with the motions, taking extra care to not brush into or against her branches as they continue to move tables towards the southern wall.
  575.
  576. Cheliyi nods sagely, her many limbs creaking as she carefully envelops two tables and carries them to the designated area in sync with Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, also carefully avoiding their fur. With a huff, she sets them down, and repeats the process.
  577.
  578. Rain steadily streams down the window panes, crashing in noisy waves against the walls and roof.
  579.
  580. Though it takes some time, with the two larger folk moving the tables, soon enough they all have been piled against the southern wall and stacked tidily to avoid any mishaps of falling or breaking furniture.
  581.
  582. Bizirik, the leothin watches, utterly unhelpful and looking bored out of its mind as it blinks slowly. Gurashi grabs pair after pair of potted plants, using their wings to aid them in gusting quickly across the room, squawking as they nearly crash into either of their friends on a handful of occasions. "M-Many apologies!" They say with a laugh just as they collide with the table in their excitement, winded as they set down the plants.
  583.
  584. You nod your head emphatically.
  585.
  586. Wiping their brow, you say, "O-K! Hard part over. S...o..."
  587.
  588. You shuffle your feet uneasily.
  589.
  590. Cheliyi stretches languidly.
  591.
  592. Wide-eyed, you ask, "Do we change the wall first, or break the floor first?"
  593.
  594. Bizirik, the leothin cracks open an eye, but does not sit up, snorting.
  595.
  596. Stretching out her limbs with a relieved sigh, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I have not had to use my branches and rooties like that, before."
  597.
  598. Your shoulders bunch as you let out a short giggle.
  599.
  600. Wide-eyed, you ask Cheliyi, "Do feel O-K? Are not too sore?"
  601.
  602. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart stretches their arms out to either side, shrugging off their coat and carefully folding it in a small bundle before laying it atop a table. "Oh yes. Doing good work can feel very strangely, but it always feels nice once you are done."
  603.
  604. You face lights up as you smile brightly at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  605.
  606. With a slow nod to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, Cheliyi shows her understanding.
  607.
  608. Smiling, you say, "It is true! You both are so strong! My gosh... OH, STAY HERE."
  609.
  610. You flail about helplessly.
  611.
  612. Cheliyi blinks.
  613.
  614. Looking at the floor in a considering manner, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart tilts their head to the side before looking towards the walls. "Hrm...I think the walls will be fine to be staying. It will go faster if I use one of my new swords, but it will be safer if I am using my--".
  615.
  616. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blinks.
  617.
  618. Wide-eyed, you say, "Two shakes! Promise! Worth it!"
  619.
  620. <-- RUNS TO MAKE DRINKIES
  621.
  622. With casual expertise, you brew up a bottle's worth of pale yellow lemonade.
  623.
  624. Beaming, you say, "Hard work - rewarding drinks!"
  625.
  626. With a nod, you give a shot glass to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  627.
  628. Beaming, you give a shot glass to Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond.
  629.
  630. Cheliyi beams broadly at you.
  631.
  632. Cheliyi hums happily, her leaves resonating with contentment.
  633.
  634. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart holds the shot glass up to their face, looking at it curiously, and then happily exclaims, "Oh! This is lemon's aid! Mister Friend Tridemon showed me this." Throwing the drink back like it is an actual shot, they happily swallow and shiver slightly. "It is very cold!"
  635.
  636. Having accepted the drink, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart answers Cheliyi, saying, "They are ones that used to belong to some Beloveds, but then they stopped using them, so they are belonging to the Shofets now. Which means they belong to me now, too!"
  637.
  638. You have emoted: Gurashi's gaze momentarily drifts to Cheliyi, and they flash the wyrdenwood a broad smile before nodding at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart. "Yes - it is Tridemon's most favorite drink, It is cold, that makes it super good after hard work, especially when is hot!" They laugh. "I made it snow just to make some! Can let it sit and get little less cold if want!"
  639.
  640. You tilt your head and listen intently to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  641.
  642. Curiously, you ask Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Do have fun training with them?"
  643.
  644. Cheliyi continues to drink her glass, savoring every drop. "I love it muchly because of the sourness, yes. It makes a funny face, and is just.... nice! I do not know why."
  645.
  646. Simply, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "It is because it makes your mouth taste different, but not bad different, like when you eat too many sweets."
  647.
  648. Comprehension flashes across Cheliyi's face.
  649.
  650. Eyes widening, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "That is it! You are so smartly, oh my goodness."
  651.
  652. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart giggles happily.
  653.
  654. As they sip their own lemonade slowly, you whisper, "Yes yes, very smartly." They pause. "...wait - you are using swords on my walls?"
  655.
  656. As they gently place the shot glass down, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "Well, it is very fun to learn new things. So I do like training with my swords. But we have to be VERY careful, because if I mess up then the Shofets will cut me and then I'll have to wait until I am healed up before I can do works or train any more.""
  657.
  658. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  659.
  660. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart shakes their head and simply answers, "On your floors! Or I can use my claws, but that will be very much slower."
  661.
  662. Eyes sparkling with excitement, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I want to see the swords, yes."
  663.
  664. Suddenly wide-eyed, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "...how often do you practice fighting with the Shofets? With the real swords, mean..."
  665.
  666. You have emoted: Gurashi trails off, their question mostly overshadowed by Cheliyi's desire to see the swords, and Bizirik's sudden appearance and noisy chattering at the mention of using swords on the floor.
  667.
  668. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, sitting down and staring at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart expectantly.
  669.
  670. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart reaches up and taps at their face, saying, "Well, when I am not having fun and doing adventures, it is about...every five days or so. I have only been cut one whole time, on my arm. But that is because of a very big surprise, so the Shofets gave me some special juice to help it heal fast and without any marks." They point to their arm, where there is no visible scar or any sign of damage at all. "See?"
  671.
  672. You have emoted: Gurashi leans forward, standing on their tip-toes as they gaze at the unmarred flesh. "I see." They confirm at last, looking up and smiling at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart slowly.
  673.
  674. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "That is some neat magicks! Am sorry that happened though," They rub their own arm sympathetically, grimacing. "Ouch."
  675.
  676. Suddenly aware of the expectation for them, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart laughs and says, "One moments, then!" They turn and reach out through the air, golden sand suddenly whirring and opening a dark portal that their paw disappears through. Sinking up to their bicep, they rummage around for a moment with tongue sticking out of their mouth before pulling out an enormous katana sheathed in a scabbard of living, crimson poppies. Easily ten feet long and two feet thick at least, the weapon perhaps was once a mortal's, but has clearly been remade for their use.
  677.
  678. Bizirik, the leothin gives a short gasp of elation.
  679.
  680. Your eyes bug out as you boggle in amazement.
  681.
  682. Cheliyi boggles at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  683.
  684. Simply, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Woah."
  685.
  686. With a proud smile, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims, "See? A whole swords!"
  687.
  688. Raising a hand in surprise, you exclaim, "It is HUGE!"
  689.
  690. Eyes wide, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "It is so pretty! And the poppies still sing! That is just-."
  691.
  692. Cheliyi trails off into some incomprehensible, excited noise, full of creaking wood and shaking boughs.
  693.
  694. You have emoted: Gurashi takes a cautious step closer, stepping about on the balls of their feet and flapping their wings excitedly. "That looks like it is hard to use! It looks so cool! Which Beloved did belong to first? Do know??" They suddenly add, "it is so perfect for you!"
  695.
  696. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and pulls at the ribbon tying the sword into the scabbard, loosing it so that the ends dangle towards the floor. "It is me sized!" They happily set the scabbard on the table before drawing the blade in a long motion. The blade itself is made of some strange, alien metal, though its cutting edge is lined with a distinct edge of voidcopper that appears so sharp it may cut your eyes just by looking at it. "The Shofets said its name is Damascene."
  697.
  698. You have emoted: Gurashi lands on the edge of the table, swinging their leggies as they catch their breath. "Damascene? Oh - it is pretty - wonder what it means?" They flit around to stand on Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's other side, looking towards Cheliyi excitedly.
  699.
  700. You chirp happily at Cheliyi.
  701.
  702. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and simply says, "I do not remember her name, but the Red Hand of Hands. It is named after her, and it was one of hers! But it has been with us for so long, that it is...probably different from what it used to be."
  703.
  704. Cheliyi tilts her head this way and that as she inspects the blade from a safe distance, the wyrdenwood creaking with pure happiness. "It is beautiful, yes. I bet she was amazing with it!"
  705.
  706. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and holds the sword carefully. While no expert, it is clear by their stance they have spent much time with the weapon, and are tilting it in such a way that no stray leothin could get hurt by wandering into it accidentally. Looking towards the floor, they say, "I think...going from the northwest to the southeast would be a very goodly river. What do you think?"
  707.
  708. Thoughtfully, you say, "One of my first character ikons..." They pause, looking aside before returning to stare at the sword, then beam up at Aschwar. "You are right! Things change over time! Now it is this!"
  709.
  710. You nod your head emphatically.
  711.
  712. You have emoted: Gurashi wanders over to stand aligned with Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart. They hold out their right hand and scrunch one eye shut, wrinkling their nose as they focus. "Mmm, yeah. That will work perfect."
  713.
  714. Bizirik, the leothin slinks over to stand beside Cheliyi now, sitting down and staring excitedly, expectantly, its tail slap, slapping the ground again and again as it snuffles.
  715.
  716. Cheliyi pats Bizirik, the leothin with a mossy hand as she watches from the sidelines.
  717.
  718. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart moves over to the northwest corner and stands next to it, taking small steps back and forth as their eyes glow ever-so-faintly in their concentration. Finally, deciding they are in the right place, they hold the sword before them and close their eyes, exhaling a long breath. In a flash, the sword is turned and stabbed into the floor, parting through the flagstone and into the ground beneath as easily as a hot knife through snow at least a foot deep.
  719.
  720. You have emoted: Gurashi's jaw drops.
  721.
  722. Bizirik, the leothin leans on Cheliyi seeking consolation.
  723.
  724. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  725.
  726. In an almost transcendent trance-like state, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart begins taking kata-like steps across the floor towards the southeast, occasionally loosing their hold on the katana to stop and spin before grabbing it with the other paw to move it in an irregular, imperfect line.
  727.
  728. Cheliyi suddenly shakes the shock from her expression, watching eagerly with an excited grin.
  729.
  730. Upon reaching the opposite wall, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart withdraws the weapon and flourishes it before them, sending small chunks of sodden earth flying across the room to splatter against the window and flagstones messily before stabbing again into the other side; parallel to the first line. Again, they take kata-like steps back to the northwest, letting the flow of their motion take them.
  731.
  732. Bizirik, the leothin chatters excitedly, its front feet tippy tapping against the ground noisily in its excitement. Gurashi brings their hands to their face to keep from yelling out distractedly in surprise and excitement.
  733.
  734. You think to yourself: * sprawling flashes of color, bright neon shapes to mirror the emerging patterns on the floor *.
  735.
  736. This time, as Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart reaches the wall from which they began, they withdraw the weapon and take up a different stance - a more aggressive one. With a flurry of motion they begin taking steps forward, slicing the weapon before and around them so quickly that you can only see the blade moving by the luminescent trail of after-light reflected by its voidcopper edg that hang in semicircles they move through moments later. Much quicker, they move from northwest to southeast, and then back again.
  737.
  738. You think to yourself: * a sense of awe * ... they really HAVE been practicing so muchly ...... * a swell of gold and bright warm crimson * so -cool- ...
  739.
  740. At last, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart flings the blade roughtly down and to the side - the blade only millimetres away from piercing the floor again as more sodden earth is thrown off to skitter across the floor and clump. In the same trance, they turn in tight circles as they take three large steps across the floor and perfectly sheath the weapon into its scabbard once more.
  741.
  742. Cheliyi cheers wildly!
  743.
  744. You give a heady crow of delight, your swiftly-beating wings sending you skyborne before you lightly touch down once more.
  745.
  746. Bizirik, the leothin chirps happily.
  747.
  748. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow caws triumphantly.
  749.
  750. Barely able to contain themselves, you say, "YOU BROKE THE FLOOR."
  751.
  752. You flail about helplessly.
  753.
  754. You chirp happily at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  755.
  756. Almost bouncing in place, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond exclaims, "That was -amazing-! I wish I knew how to use a sword, yes. The floor! Is broken!"
  757.
  758. Perspiring lightly, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart takes a deep breath in as their eyes open and they give a cheesy grin, rubbing the back of their neck. A quick utterance in a craggy, rumbling dialect causes the ribbons to jerk to life before tying the weapon shut once more. Turning, they inspect their handiwork.
  759.
  760. <-- typo
  761. (clan): You say, "I saw nothing."
  762. (clan): You say, "*good bug noises*."
  763. (clan): Cheliyi says, "I also see nothing."
  764. That is correct. Nothing.
  765.
  766. Sure enough, irregular triangles of flagstone are imperfectly scattered in the long path that Aschwar cut through, the earth beneath disturbed and visible.
  767.
  768. As they reach up and rub the back of their head, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims, "That is the first time I've gotten to cut something up! Normally it is just me and the Shofets training with the swords, so this means I did goodly. I think!"
  769.
  770. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  771.
  772. Agog, you exclaim to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "You are AMAZING!"
  773.
  774. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart crouches down slightly, looking towards Bizirik, the leothin and solemnly asking, "Friend Bizirik? Do you think that you could dig that up and make a bigly huge mess?"
  775.
  776. Gesturing excitedly to the floor, you exclaim to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "You made it look so easy!!" They trill excitedly, "Can tell have worked so hard!"
  777.
  778. Flushing faintly, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says to you, "Well, it is easy to cut up a floor! It does not move, and it does not swing a sword back at you."
  779.
  780. You shake your head.
  781.
  782. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Well, O-K, maybe is easier than fighting a moving target... BUT STILL."
  783.
  784. Cheliyi giggles happily.
  785.
  786. Bizirik, the leothin cranes its neck up to stare at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart. All at once it seems to squint, nostrils flaring as it snuffles at the priest... then rises, wandering over to the recently broken ground to investigate.
  787.
  788. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "This is true, yes. It was still a lot of effort and cool things!"
  789.
  790. Explaining as they watch the leothin move, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "I should have made it all very easy to pick up, but once the trench is very empty then you two can help dig the last two holes, and I'll open up the Veil to let the water come through! Then we'll have a nice, fresh river for you to be gardening with."
  791.
  792. Cheliyi nods slowly, her chimes clinking against one another in a soft melody.
  793.
  794. Bizirik, the leothin paws lightly at the exposed earth, then flexes, its sharp claws digging into the ground with ease and immediately ripping up a sizable hunk of the dirt . It snuffles, looking over its shoulder at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart for affirmation before beginning to dig more readily, its tail sweeping behind it.
  795.
  796. By your estimate, the trench is about two and a half feet wide and just as deep, stretching from the northwest to the southeast corner.
  797.
  798. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods eagerly towards Bizirik, the leothin, saying, "It is okay, Bizi! You will not get in troubles, because you will be helping us. And because you'll be doing such a good jobs, I think Friend Gurashi will give you a treat once you are done."
  799.
  800. Enthused, you ask, "The last two holes?"
  801.
  802. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods at you, explaining, "Under the wall there is more stone, and then the earth. You will dig out holes there, in the dirt, and I will open the Veil there. That way someone who is playing in the river will not accidentally find their foot stuck in a whole other world."
  803.
  804. Cheliyi hums softly, her leaves resonating in tune with a set of bone chimes affixed to her branches.
  805.
  806. Bizirik, the leothin chatters as it digs, now eagerly sending the untidy hunks of ground flying behind it, clattering across the ground. Gurashi lifts a foot, avoiding a hunk of the flagstone before it pelts their shin. "Good job, Bizi-bee!" Gurashi chimes, hopping one-legged to face Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart. "Oh! I can do that! We can do that!" They look at Cheliyi, wide-eyed. "We can!"
  807.
  808. Bizirik, the leothin snorts.
  809.
  810. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Goodly idea, yes. I do not think I would want my rooties in another world, no. So yes, let's do-."
  811.
  812. Cheliyi chokes as a chunk of dirt slaps her in the face.
  813.
  814. Cheliyi sputters, and then laughs.
  815.
  816. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and rests on their haunches, exhaling lightly. "I hope you do not minds if I do not help with this part. Making the magics to open holes in the Veil that will be safe, and stay open? It will be tough, so I want to mamke sure I have all of my energies." They choke back a startled laugh as the dirt slaps Cheliyi in her tree-face, taking a moment before asking, "Are you okay?"
  817.
  818. Cheliyi nods, wiping the dirt from her eyes with an embarrassed giggle.
  819.
  820. Bizirik, the leothin doesn't even bother to look back at the commotion, focused on using both good old fashion digging and occasionally using its small, secondary limbs to grab the hunks of debris and hurl them from the trench.
  821.
  822. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "We can do it, yes."
  823.
  824. Cheliyi's expression suddenly lights up.
  825.
  826. Cheliyi begins to wield a hefty shovel in her left hand.
  827.
  828. Even with the leothin's enthusiastic digging, it looks as though it will take some time before the trench is cleared out.
  829.
  830. Cheliyi raises her shovel in the air like a mighty weapon, absolutely beaming. "I can use this shovel Mister Nepenthe gave me! I would normally use it for shovel talks, but this is perfect!"
  831.
  832. You have emoted: Gurashi crouches near the wall, resting a hand against it as their other hand touches the earth, pulling out a silver shovel. Though they flash an excited grin in Cheliyi's direction, they suddenly look towards Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, furrowing their brow. "Are feeling up to doing the rivers today...? We can always do this in parts if are feeling tired..."
  833.
  834. Their voice curious and somewhat apprehensive, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "Shovel talks?"
  835.
  836. Cheliyi nods her head sagely at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  837.
  838. You blink.
  839.
  840. Equally curious, you ask, "Shovel talks?"
  841.
  842. Seriously, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "When you tell someone that is liking the person that you care about to be nicely, or you will hit them with a shovel. And then maybe bury them!"
  843.
  844. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I gave one to Mister Dad, when we first met."
  845.
  846. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  847.
  848. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart smiles softly and pats your arm with a paw, nodding and saying, "I will be very goodly! I will just need to drink lots of water after, and maybe eat some tasty breads or some of Mister Binky's excellent nuts." They then blink and look with concern towards Cheliyi, asking, "Only people who are likings the person you care about? Like...liking like them? Kisses liking?"
  849.
  850. Bizirik, the leothin sneezes, pausing in its clearing to rub at its snout before resuming digging. It seems excited now, tongue lolling out of its jaws as it pants and digs excitedly, continuing to create an ever-growing pile of mess on the ground near Cheliyi and Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  851.
  852. Cheliyi slowly nods to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, her leaves rustling softly.
  853.
  854. You stare at Cheliyi, eyes wide.
  855.
  856. You tilt your head curiously at Cheliyi.
  857.
  858. You think to yourself: ... * a swirl of apple green * how does mine-child know -somuchly-.
  859.
  860. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "It is just making sure the person who likes them is true, and also not daunted by simple threats, yes. A two-fold test!"
  861.
  862. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a happy yowl, pausing in its digging to chuck a small stone out of the trench off to the side. It snorts again, sneezes, then drops down, rolling in the dirt for good measure before returning to work.
  863.
  864. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart slowly nods, turning the sheathed katana over and over in their paws. After a few moments, they ask, "Uh...friend Cheliyi? I do not want to distract you from doing the diggings, but...you live in the Glomdorings, yes?"
  865.
  866. Cheliyi pauses her shoveling, and then tenses. "Mm... yes."
  867.
  868. You have emoted: Gurashi concentrates on their shovel momentarily, pressing it into the earth and pushing down. "Huwah," They grunt, the tip of a silver shovel scraping the wall. Suddenly, their tufted ears swivel back, and they turn to look at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, then Cheliyi, blinking owlishly.
  869.
  870. For a tae'dae of such enormous size, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's voice is awfully small and tentative as they ask, "Have...you seen my..." They pause, and exhale softly, their face turning strangely blank ask they continue, "...my once-friend Akuuko?"
  871.
  872. You think to yourself: * a sudden pang - a dull, bittersweet thrum of orange, of indigo .. *.
  873.
  874. Cheliyi visibly relaxes, and then almost wilts. "I... have, yes." Her expression softens. "What would you like to know, Mixter Aschwar?"
  875.
  876. Wooden wind chimes can be heard clunking gently together as a breeze moves through.
  877.
  878. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's eyes sharpen and their head snaps up, locking in on Cheliyi's face with almost predatory intent as they quickly interrupt the last few syllables of their own name to ask, "Is he okay? Happy? Eating enough? Not getting into very much trouble with his pranks?"
  879.
  880. You have emoted: Gurashi sinks the shovel into the earth a second time before stopping completely, their wings sagging as they turn to watch, to listen.
  881.
  882. Cheliyi blinks, and then simply smiles. "He is okay. He mostly sleeps and sits in Lady Viravain's temple, yes. I visited a few months ago without realizing I was so far into Her realm, and he looks healthy and safe. No trouble, no."
  883.
  884. You have emoted: Gurashi stares at Cheliyi with a much softer, albeit still expectant gaze, their ears flattening.
  885.
  886. You think to yourself: ... * faint buzzing, like static * do ... not f....
  887.
  888. Cheliyi pauses, and then frowns. "I do not know about food. But I could bring him some, if Lady Viravain does not get angry at me for entering. Does he have a favorite food?"
  889.
  890. Rain steadily streams down the window panes, crashing in noisy waves against the walls and roof.
  891.
  892. Continuing, though their voice is a little softer and their questions less aggressive, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "And...is his side still hurting? I heard that he had to walk with a cane after his accident, and I can make him a new one if he needs it. I am very goodly at making things." Their voice is almost hopeful, and they allow a small smile to come to their face, "I remember how tall he is, and his favourite colours. Oh yes! He loves sweets. Especially iced cream, and he also loves curry."
  893.
  894. You think to yourself: ... * pale apricot - a sense of guilt the more Aschwar speaks *.
  895.
  896. Cheliyi tilts her head curiously at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  897.
  898. Comprehension flashes across Cheliyi's face.
  899.
  900. It is painfully obvious as you watch the tae'dae speak, and feel their emotions through the shared link with the Thousandfold, burning bittersweet in your chest like a choking throat and a sob-torn esophagus. Despite their previous words to the contrary, they are still hopelessly in love with the once-thief.
  901.
  902. Softly, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "He is not hurting. He is walking with what he called new leggies, yes. So... I do not think he needs a cane. But maybe you could send him something else, like shoes? He does not seem to wear any, no. Although, " she glances at her rooties, "neither do I."
  903.
  904. Bizirik, the leothin pauses at last in its digging, settling down to sit in the dirt. It looks over towards the tae'dae, huffing.
  905.
  906. With a warm smile, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I will make him curry and icecreams, then."
  907.
  908. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  909.
  910. With a soft smile on their face that leaves them looking towards some distant memory, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart laughs quietly before saying, "Oh, no...he hates shoes. He didn't wear them even in the Shifting City. You can't do the Yu Ken Leep while wearing them."
  911.
  912. A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.
  913.
  914. You have emoted: Gurashi's shoulders bunch slightly, their fingers curling around the handle of the shovel as they watch Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart speak. They say nothing, however, their own gaze locked on the tae'dae's face, their expression strangely neutral.
  915.
  916. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I understand, yes. I hate not feeling the ground on my feet, no. Still, I think he will like a gift! Just nothing that would remind him too muchly of his hurt, no."
  917.
  918. Cheliyi squints. "Maybe. I am new to the friends thing. And people things."
  919.
  920. You think to yourself: ... * the guilt grows - but do not -want- to feel bad - but how do fix? *.
  921.
  922. "Thank you," Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, and they close their eyes before the hope that is visible within can become too obvious. "I will maybe send him something." With that, they resume fiddling with the katana, turning it over and over in their paws.
  923.
  924. You think to yourself: * quiet and muted gray * i did this ... * a swell of uncertain apple-green * was worth - was worth it? was worth - must be - right.
  925.
  926. Bizirik, the leothin sneezes in the trench suddenly, then chirps.
  927.
  928. Cheliyi nods, returning to her digging with careful, heaving motions. It isn't long before her section of the giant trench is looking a little clearer.
  929.
  930. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart peeks open one eye and then gasps, proclaiming, "Bizi! You have done so much! You are going to leave no digging at all for Friend Gurashi or child-friend Cheliyi!"
  931.
  932. Bizirik, the leothin rises, carefully plucking a dirt clod with its small secondary limbs and tossing it gently in Cheliyi's and Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's direction, snorting expectantly.
  933.
  934. With a mischievous grin, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "I suppose if you dig more than both of them, you will get to eat both of THEIR treats, too."
  935.
  936. Cheliyi flinches as the chunk hits her face again, although she recovers much quicker with a quiet laugh. "I am sure we will find some dirt to move, yes."
  937.
  938. Cheliyi gasps in mock horror, and digs faster.
  939.
  940. You think to yourself: * creeping doubt - recalling the staff, leaning against the wall in the corner of their bedroom *.
  941.
  942. You have emoted: Gurashi returns to their digging with an almost mechanical motion, the shovel scraping against the wall as they bring it up with another load of dirt, gently tossing it aside.
  943.
  944. Bizirik, the leothin nods her head sagely at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  945.
  946. Bizirik, the leothin chirps happily.
  947.
  948. The melodious voice of Cheliyi resonates in your mind, "**a quiet nudge, the scent of wyrden foliage and moist earth** Dad... are you okay? It will be okay, yes."
  949.
  950. You think to yourself: What is done is done - so how do make it hurt less.
  951.
  952. You have emoted: Gurashi grimaces as they narrowly scrape the shovel against the wall again, looking over their shoulder towards Cheliyi, their ears finally rising.
  953.
  954. Your melodic voice sings into Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond's mind, "* assent *."
  955.
  956. You think to yourself: ... how are supposed to forget somebody when love them muchly?
  957.
  958. Cheliyi huffs, and sets down her shovel, simply tamping down the remaining earth with her great weight, leaving an even, packed ground on her side of the river-trench.
  959.
  960. The melodious voice of Cheliyi resonates in your mind, "**another pointed nudge, the impression of a peering gaze** You are sure? I will give you a big hug if you are lying."
  961.
  962. Between your combined efforts and the leothin's excited attempts to steal all the treats for herself, you find it is only half an hour before the trench is clear of all but the lightest debris.
  963.
  964. Bizirik, the leothin scoots along, digging diligently, clearing the trench until it is nearly all free. IT pants and pants and pants, tossing its head before flopping onto its side, the picture of a job well done.
  965.
  966. Cheliyi smiles wryly at Bizirik, the leothin.
  967.
  968. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Bizirik, the leothin, "Okay, you have earned my treat, yes. The bestest noodle."
  969.
  970. Through the work, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart has been sitting in a meditative quiet, the katana still slowly turning over and over in their paws like prayer beads or a mage's focus.
  971.
  972. You think to yourself: * a passing recollection - white hair, tall - white fur, spotted * ... impossible, maybe.
  973.
  974. Bizirik, the leothin makes a sound between a chirp and a croak in Cheliyi's direction, opening its mouth and readying itself for treats.
  975.
  976. Cheliyi chuckles softly, her branches drooping as she sits next to Bizirik, the leothin and drops a tangy shrimp cocktail in her mouth.
  977.
  978. Cheliyi exhales slowly, allowing a long fluid breath to creep from her lungs.
  979.
  980. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Well, I think that is the whole trench, yes. Mixter Aschwar, would you like a snack before you make the weirdly rift?"
  981.
  982. Wiping their brow, you say, "Be sure to drink up so ..." They look towards Cheliyi, laughing. "What she said."
  983.
  984. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blinks as their name is called out, and they stir, blinking before they look towards the trench. With delight, they gasp and stand, moving over and inspecting the hard work with a discerning gaze. "Oh, this is very goodly! What little is left can be taken out by the water, yes yes." They hold the sword out and drop it, the weapon disappearing through a quickly opening circle of golden sand that disappears immediately after. "Did you make sure to get the holes under the walls?"
  985.
  986. Cheliyi bends over, her trunk creaking and groaning with the movement as she peers at the end of the trench. "... Maybe? Let me check."
  987.
  988. Cheliyi pulls herself back up and taps the hole under the wall with her shovel, hemming and hawing until she gets the hole deep enough for her satisfaction.
  989.
  990. You have emoted: Gurashi crouches near the hole they've dug, looking up at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart concernedly. "I did - as far as could go - the wall stopped but could not quite poke a super -big- hole through..." They grimace.
  991.
  992. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  993.
  994. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "...I can fit my hand!"
  995.
  996. You have emoted: Gurashi sticks their hand under the wall excitedly, wings flapping.
  997.
  998. Pulling back and now quite dirty, you say, "...my whole arm even!"
  999.
1000. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and instructs, "About...a foot inside, I think will be enough. To avoid accidents." As they sit on the edge of the river, they open up another portal and reach into it, beginning to pull out one sweet pastry after another to pile in front of Bizirik, the leothin. They do not stop until there is no smaller a pyramid than twelve eclairs with a few puffy doughnut spheres.
  1001.
1002. It is now time for Bizirik, the leothin's jaw to drop.
  1003.
1004. With a light laugh, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims, "A whole arm is perfect!"
  1005.
1006. Their voice a conspiratorial whisper, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "That is from Missus Friend Shulamit's special island, Bizi. These things show up there ALL THE TIME."
  1007.
1008. Cheliyi curiously shoves a branch under the wall, nodding emphatically as the entire limb almost completely disappears beneath the stone.
  1009.
  1010. Cheliyi coughs softly.
  1011.
1012. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I... might have made the hole a little too long."
  1013.
  1014. Cheliyi blushes furiously.
  1015.
1016. Bizirik, the leothin delicately rises and takes a pastry from the pile before swallowing it whole.
  1017.
1018. Shaking their head, you say to Cheliyi, "We can always put more dirt in if is too muchly? No big deal."
  1019.
1020. Grinning as they lean and look at the inserted limb, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "That is okay! I will be able to it just fine. So now, I just need to know do you want the river to flow this-a-way, or that-a-way?"
  1021.
1022. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart points both ways along the trench as they ask, looking towards you expectantly.
1023. Cheliyi pulls her branch back out, humming thoughtfully.
  1024.
1025. You have emoted: Gurashi points both arms and wings towards the southeast. "From the northerly to the souther-ly."
  1026.
1027. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "West to east! Weast!"
  1028.
  1029. Cheliyi squints at you.
  1030.
1031. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and then turns, walking through the trench as they say, "Okay! Everyone out! It is going to be very wet here once I am done." They move towards the southeastern side first, inspecting the walls as they go.
  1032.
1033. As an afterthought, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "Of the river, I mean. Not the whole greenhouse."
  1034.
1035. Cheliyi steps out of the trench with a bit off difficulty, clearly trying to not fall backwards due to her top-heavy nature.
  1036.
1037. You throw back your head as you let loose a delighted laugh.
  1038.
1039. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly flaps their wings, taking off into the air and landing on the nearby recently-moved table with a gentle thud. They spin around eagerly to watch, wide-eyed.
  1040.
1041. Cheliyi huffs and sticks out a... wooden tongue at you.
  1042.
  1043. (clan): Cheliyi says, "Cursed."
1044. (clan): Cheliyi says, "I thought about it and now so do you."
1045. (clan): You say, "That's cursed."
  1046.
1047. The corners of Cheliyi's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.
  1048.
1049. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart leans down carefully and their eyes glow brilliantly, causing brilliant pools of amber and emerald to reflect against the glass of the greenhouse and the flagstone floor as they begin to speak in a tongue you inherently recognise as the Divine, but so distinct a dialect that you cannot begin to place it. Tracing a complex sign with their claws, they tear through the air and you feel the air move through the greenhouse for but a moment.
  1050.
1051. Bizirik, the leothin sticks out its pastry-sticky tongue at Cheliyi in response to the wyrdenwood's joking taunt, chattering.
  1052.
1053. Nodding, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart stands and trundles back along the trench before leaning down and inspecting the hole again.
  1054.
1055. Cheliyi watches intently, before giggling at Bizirik, the leothin.
  1056.
1057. You have emoted: Gurashi shivers, their focus locked on Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, watching the priest work as their wings fan open and closed excitedly behind them.
  1058.
1059. Once more, brilliant amber and verdant emerald reflect around as Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart speaks, this time a more complex incantation with an even more intricate sigil that glows in midair as they trace it. However, the longer you look at it, the more it seems to change, until you are certain that it is not holding its shape and is shifting from second to second. A brilliant flash illuminates the room with golden light as they tear through the air again, and the scent of honey is overwhelming as you hear the sound of water beginning to rush and an enormous spray smacks them right in the chest and sends them tumbling back onto their rump.
  1060.
1061. A shifting, living poppy of burgundy petals crackles with divine energy before exploding into a wide array of myriad petals. In another instant the poppy reappears, this time displaying a shade of dark amber.
  1062.
1063. You think to yourself: ... *as they watch the tae'dae work, a sense of fondness that briefly overwhelms the lingering guilt* ... hope can be so amazing someday ...
  1064.
1065. In spite of the tae'dae-sized obstruction, the well-dug and constructed trench quickly fills with the rushing of clean, quick-moving water that flows from north to south, west to east. Small detritus is quickly swept away as the walls are scooped free of loose-hanging earth and what is left along the floor of the trench is swept away before disappearing into the further hole.
  1066.
1067. Cheliyi flinches at the sudden light and shields her eyes with a groan, thereby completely missing the tae'dae's fall. Once she opens her eyes and rubs the burning from her gaze, she frowns at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart with concern. "Are you alright, Mixter Aschwar?" She offers a hand to help them back up.
  1068.
1069. With a gasp as the tae'dae falls, you say, "Oh! Beloved Aschwar!"
  1070.
1071. Sitting within the water for a moment, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart laughs before leaning down and turning their head to the side, opening their mouth and taking large gulps of the river with obvious delight. Only once they have drunken several mouthfuls do they reach up and take Cheliyi's offered hand, their claws digging ever-so-slightly into the wooden flesh but not fully piercing it as they accept the aid. "Oh, yes. I just forgot to make it wait until I was out of the river before making it start."
  1072.
1073. A warm, gentle wind brings forth the scents and sounds of fresh moving water.
  1074.
1075. Your shoulders bunch as you let out a short giggle.
  1076.
1077. Cheliyi grins, carefully hauling Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart out of the river, seemingly unbothered by their claws. "It sounds very complicated, yes. Goodly to know you are alright!"
  1078.
1079. You have emoted: Gurashi flaps their wings in Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart's direction, attempting to dry the tae'dae off. "Ahh - if Tridemon was here could dry you off super fast..." Suddenly they look at the trench, now flooded to the brim with cloudy but fresh water. "Ah - I cannot believe it worked so well...!"
  1080.
1081. Once they are out of the river, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart looks entirely enthused despite their sopping wet clothes as they look down. "Oh, this is perfect! I think we did a very goodly job." As you all watch, the water slowly clears; becoming less and less cloudy as time goes by. "It is small enough you can step over, but I can get a stone for stepping if you like, Friend Gurashi. Or make you a bridge."
  1082.
1083. You have emoted: Gurashi steps up towards the edge of the trench, gazing down at it in surprise, their hands laced together. "...it is incredible - really - for reals. It transformed the whole room... it is so much bigger..." Slowly they open up their arms, unfurling their wings and looking up.
  1084.
1085. Looking over their shoulder, you say, "You did not have to do this for me! You did not have to help me re-do my greenhouse!" They lift a hand to cover their mouth shyly. "...not that am not grateful. Am super duper grateful. Is just - is -so- nice."
  1086.
1087. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  1088.
1089. Pulling back with a warm smile, Cheliyi's branches creak as she kneels beside the small river. For a moment, she simply splashes the water with her hands, marveling at its very existence. "It is -amazing-, yes. You have already done lots Mixter Aschwar! I think what Dad is saying is that we do not want you to feel obligated to do more, no."
  1090.
1091. You think to yourself: Did not have to do it at all.
  1092.
  1093. You think to yourself: * a ripple of indigo * .... kind ...
  1094.
1095. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods, looking down at the dirt that had been excavated. "This is all very goodly dirt, very fresh and loamy. You will want to get it all in some large bags, so that way when you plant your seeds it will have the bestest dirt to grow in." At you and Cheliyi's words, they smile softly and reply, "We are friends. It is nice to do lots of nice things for each other, and you want to be a gardener like me. So I like helping you!"
  1096.
1097. Light spreads across your back in numerous colours and hues, enfolding you like butterfly wings.
  1098.
1099. Nodding their head, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "If I didn't have big claws and paws, I am sure you would help teach me how to play instruments if I wanted to learn. It is the kind and nice thing to do. We are choosing to be goodly, and friends."
  1100.
1101. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart points a claw towards you, asking, "Because what is the most importantest part of being Saffron?"
  1102.
  1103. Cheliyi hums curiously.
  1104.
1105. Suddenly throwing up their arms, you say, "Making the goodliest reality for you and for the peoples around you! Come true!"
  1106.
  1107. Cheliyi blinks.
  1108.
1109. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "Be the good!"
  1110.
1111. Cheliyi glances curiously at you her expression suddenly pensive.
  1112.
1113. With a bright smile, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart reaches out and places a heavy, still-wet paw atop your fluffy head, correcting, "Choosing to make the goodliest reality, and THEN making it happen. The act of choosing, remember?"
  1114.
1115. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly flits over to the table, gathering up two of the small potted plants and cupping them close to their chest. "Er - sorry - choosing! Choosing. Being the acting, doing the thing that you choose to do, yes."
  1116.
1117. Biting their tongue, you say, "I choose to plant these first."
  1118.
1119. Urgently holding the small pots aloft, you say, "Because they have been potted the longest and have been so -very- patient."
  1120.
1121. You think to yourself: * a swell of apricot hues - manifesting - what want - know and decide what want *.
  1122.
1123. Loud to the point of seeming reverberation, cicadas play out buzzing dissonances.
  1124.
1125. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart looks as though they are ready to launch into a long sermon or teaching opportunity, but instead let out an enormous belch before nodding in a satisfied manner. "Then I choose to finish this works, and put the tables back around the walls of the room, so they all have very much space. You should...probably replant those, with your new, goodly soil."
  1126.
1127. You throw back your head as you let loose a delighted laugh.
  1128.
1129. You have emoted: Gurashi smiles weakly.
  1130.
1131. Having chosen this, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart sets about doing exactly that, taking empty tables across the river in easy strides and placing them down with plenty of room between each other, as well as arranging a few on either side of the river in a pattern not too terribly different from a macaron.
  1132.
1133. Cheliyi's expression softens, and she simply steps over to the massive stack, and begins taking down furniture in her limbs. Replacing the tables and furniture to their original, or slightly adjusted positions, she works diligently, quietly.
  1134.
1135. You have emoted: Gurashi attempts to move in and assist with the tables... before looking between Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart and Cheliyi and deciding to focus on the tiny planters instead, their wings flapping.
  1136.
1137. As before, with the combined efforts of all those involved -- save the snack-stuffed leothin, who does her best to be as in-the-way as possible --, the tables are moved and the planters re-settled in no time at all.
  1138.
1139. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a massive belch into the air.
  1140.
1141. Once the work is done, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart takes time to walk you through the first repotting of the favoured plant, carefully offering gentle instruction to ensure a smooth transition. Once it is done to their satisfaction, they nod and disappear through a portal that closes behind them, leaving only their called, "Be right ba--" before it shuts abruptly.
  1142.
1143. From their knees at the riverside, you say, "Holy heckity, that was a lot of work...!" They turn over their hands, examining their muddied palms before looking at the many plants they have lined up along the river bed. "We did g..."
  1144.
1145. You stare blankly into space.
  1146.
1147. As the final piece of furniture is set in place, Cheliyi stretches her limbs, and then nods to Aschwar. "Thank you so muchly for your-".
  1148.
  1149. Cheliyi blinks.
  1150.
1151. Cheliyi chuckles softly, her leaves rustling with laughter.
  1152.
1153. You get the feeling that Aschwar will return shortly.
  1154.
1155. You have emoted: Gurashi looks over their shoulder at Cheliyi, slowly grinning.
  1156.
1157. With a wink, you ask, "Having fun, mine-child?"
  1158.
1159. Cheliyi blinks, and then suddenly seems to finally comprehend the last few hours.
  1160.
1161. Quietly surprised, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "... Yes, yes I am."
  1162.
1163. Cheliyi smiles, her lips softly creaking with amusement.
  1164.
1165. You have emoted: Gurashi rises, stepping across the river and pumping their wings furiously to lift into the air high enough to plant a quick peck upon Cheliyi's wooden forehead. As they land, they grunt, uttering a flustered. "Am glad."
  1166.
  1167. Cheliyi blinks.
  1168.
1169. You have emoted: Gurashi wobbles, nearly teetering into the river before catching themselves on one of Cheliyi's roots.
  1170.
1171. Cheliyi laughs openly, her branches creaking harmoniously with joyful amusement.
  1172.
1173. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "You could have asked me to bend down, like Sibling Tikki, you know."
  1174.
1175. Cheliyi displays this by bending down and pressing a kiss to your forehead.
  1176.
1177. You lazily draw your wings to and fro through the air, fanning them slowly.
  1178.
1179. Puffing their cheeks, you say, "I picked these wingies - am gonna use 'em."
  1180.
1181. You grin mischievously at Cheliyi.
  1182.
1183. Softly, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to you, "Okay. And... you are feeling alright?"
  1184.
1185. You have emoted: Gurashi smiles back at Cheliyi, canting their head. "Mm." They squeeze Cheliyi's hand firmly. "Am having lots of fun with you two. Am happy are here - is all."
  1186.
1187. A golden portal opens, and Aschwar emerges through, calling back over their shoulder "--and I love You, Shofets!" In their arms they carry several tall stones, some planks of cherry-coloured wood, tools for construction, a small watering can, some various-sized gardening tools from trowels to shears, and a few crystalline globes attached to long sticks. Though they have far too much in their paws, they are able to skillfully set them all down between the nearby tables before wiping their forehead, smiling happily as they turn to look at you.
  1188.
1189. Cheliyi inspects you carefully, and then nods, accepting their response.
  1190.
  1191. Cheliyi blinks.
  1192.
1193. Cheliyi's gaze widens as she stares at all of the tools. "You need all of that to make plants grow? This looks so -complicated.-".
  1194.
1195. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart looks back at the collection they have carted in, and they laugh before saying, "Well, not all of it. Some of them are for me in case Friend Gurashi wants a bridge, or stepping stones, and then the OTHERS are what you need for the best of gardenings. I did not bring a gardening apron, but I think Friend Gurashi probably already has one."
  1196.
1197. You have emoted: Gurashi looks up excitedly at the portal, their plumage ruffling excitedly as they turn to face Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, smiling. "Look at all of this! Oh my gosh... I have some of these...or... I did?" They lift the watering can thoughtfully. "I think Khepqet borrowed thems for something."
  1198.
1199. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  1200.
1201. Simply, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "I brought extra, just in case. Having extras means other people can help you with your gardening, and one can break and you will not be sadly."
  1202.
1203. You nod your head emphatically.
  1204.
1205. Cheliyi nods slowly. "Very wise, yes. I break things lots, when I am big, so I should probably... not touch the things, no."
  1206.
  1207. Cheliyi glances askance.
  1208.
1209. Suddenly, you ask Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Is O-K to borrow all of these...? I can get my own - I promise. I do not want to take if do not have extra-extras, you know? Because you have peoples to garden with too, yes?"
  1210.
1211. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart pulls over one of the crystalline globes and smacks it against a table several times, showing off its sturdiness as they explain, "This is a very important thing. I am giving it to you because it is very clever. It uses magic and...essence, I think? To make warm light like the sun, that way if it is too rainy and the storms do not go away, your plants can still have light!" They pause as you asks, and smile gently before reassuring, "If I want more, the Shofets will get me more. Even if I need it made of gold and diamonds, He says I can have whatever I want. So I can give away some extras to my friends, it is no big worries."
  1212.
1213. You have emoted: Gurashi blinks slowly, surprised as they approach Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, studying the globe closely. "...it makes sunlight even when is raining? That is -amazing-." Their eyes are shiny as they lean in close to examine them closely.
  1214.
1215. With a sheepish smile, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "It is not perfect sunlight, so it will not grow as big or as goods as it could with real sunlight, but it will grow and have a very goodly and happy life."
  1216.
1217. Suddenly talking a mile a minute, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Are giving to me? For the plants? Where should I put it? Because sometimes it rains for a -long- time..."
  1218.
1219. You huff, puffing your cheeks.
  1220.
1221. Pondering thoughtfully, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "Well, if only need it for one or two, like if you want to plants a cactus? You can put it right in the pot, just stick the pointy end in the dirt. Otherwise...should probably hang them up around the greenhouse."
  1222.
1223. You nod your head slowly in understanding.
  1224.
1225. Cheliyi hums curiously. "I could make a cradle for it with vines and attach it to the ceiling, yes."
  1226. Nodding furiously, you say, "O-K I will I will - I promise..."
  1227.
  1228. You boggle at Cheliyi.
  1229.
1230. In an airy, melodic voice, you ask Cheliyi, "That sounds -neat- - really?"
  1231.
1232. Your eyes bug out as you boggle in amazement.
  1233.
1234. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart beams broadly at Cheliyi.
  1235.
1236. Cheliyi squints at her hands, the vines wiggling out of her branches as she frowns to herself. "Probably."
  1237.
1238. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Can I hold the orb, yes? I need to know how big it is with my hands, because my eyes are always acting badly."
  1239.
1240. With a little laugh, you say, "We can continue to set up stuffs next month, too, before we start making a bunch of baskets for things..." They fish through their pocket, eventually finding their pocket watch and squinting. "Oh, golly.... It is already almost the new year."
  1241.
1242. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and hands one globe to Cheliyi for closer inspection and fiddling with before directing your attention towards the wood and stones. "This woods is the same you've seen around my home. It is very strong, and will not be upset if it gets wet, or dirty." They then point to the stones and say, "These are from the Shifting City, so even though they will be floating on the water, they will not get pulled away by the river! It is very fun to watch, and I've thrown very many into the Dreamsea."
  1243.
1244. Cheliyi cradles the orb in her hand, inspecting it closely as she runs her hands over it in sweeping motions. Her eyes close, and her brow furrows as she seems to focus on... something.
  1245.
1246. Wide-eyed, you ask, "The rocks will float on the water?"
  1247.
1248. Her inspection pauses as she glances at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart incredulously. "But rocks always sink," Cheliyi says.
  1249.
1250. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and demonstrates by dropping one of the stones into the water. It barely descends before rising back to the surface, making only the lightest of splashes. To further prove their point, they then step forward onto it and balance on one foot, causing the stone to sink only enough that the surface of the river rushes against the bottom of their paw. "See? And I weigh a lot more than anyone except maybe friend-child Cheliyi, so you will be able to walk on it no problem."
  1251.
1252. Cheliyi's eyes bug out as she boggles in amazement.
  1253.
1254. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "That is wonderful! Every time I see things from Lord Shofet's realm, I am even more amazed. Nothing makes sense there, but in a fun way, I think."
  1255.
1256. You have emoted: Gurashi says nothing, their mouth the shape of a perfect shook 'o'
  1257.
1258. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart laughs lightly as they step off of the stone and then reach into the flowing water to pick it up easily, pulling it back and setting it on the ground. "It all makes sense to me, but I am His Book, so I guess it is s'posed to."
  1259.
1260. You hands fly to your mouth as you give a short gasp of elation.
  1261.
1262. A gust of wind causes the many wind chimes to crash and clatter together chaotically, accompanied with the steady patter of rain.
  1263.
1264. Cheliyi nods slowly, before returning her attention to the orb. With intense concentration, she stares at the sphere and laces her fingers like a wooden lattice. As the minutes pass, wooden vines slowly creep along its surface, eventually creating a simple cradle that barely hinders the orb's warm, sunny glow.
  1265.
1266. You have emoted: Gurashi toddles over to the pile of stones, and with all the enthusiasm they can muster grab the topmost one. They shrug it off the pile, their entire body sagging suddenly as it is freed from the support of the other stones, grunting and slowly shuffling over to the water, obviously straining with the much smaller stone. Slowly, they rock back and forth, their arms limp as they at last release the rock, letting it hit the newly-formed river with a mighty SPLASH.
  1267.
1268. Exactly as expected, the stone rises back to the surface and floats there - waiting to be stepped upon.
  1269.
1270. You have emoted: Gurashi watches for the rock to bob back up to the surface before taking a cautious leap out onto it, their arms flailing as they wobble on the stone, grinning.
  1271.
1272. And exactly as expected, it holds the trill's weight without even dipping back towards the water.
  1273.
1274. At last on the gently bobbing stone, you say to Cheliyi, "These rocks are GREAT."
  1275.
1276. Your eyes bug out as you boggle in amazement.
  1277.
1278. With a light laugh, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "I am guessing you would like more of the stepping stones, and not a bridge?"
  1279.
1280. You have emoted: Gurashi's arms flail suddenly as they nearly lose their balance again, their flapping wings threatening to bring them off balance on their awkwardly shaped stone. "Stones!" The chime suddenly, hands clenching into fists. "Yeah! Stones!"
  1281.
1282. Cheliyi exhales sharply, letting out the breath that she must have been holding for quite some time. Without much fanfare, she pulls off a vine from her canopy and wraps it around the knot of the net, and sticks it to the ceiling. A sudden spread of thin, sturdy roots flows out from the broken end of the vine, attempting to root the orb to the ceiling.
  1283.
  1284. Cheliyi giggles happily.
  1285.
1286. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "The stones are nicely, yes."
  1287.
1288. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and says, "If we were in the Shifting City, then the stones could step to where they go, but I will carry them for you." With a happy smile they move and begin placing several stones in easily steppable positions at equidistant points along the river, allowing for multiple people to cross at once.
  1289.
1290. After a few moments of attempt, the vines attach to the upper ravenwood beams and meldlessly seam into the wood as though it were still living, dangling the globe and letting it shed its light evenly across a section of the room.
  1291.
1292. You have emoted: Gurashi's gaze drifts upwards, now watching the orb hanging overhead while finding their balance with the addition of more stones. "Thank you," They chirp at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, returning to the shore and attempting to help with smaller, more trill-sized stones. "Cheliyi! That looks really nicely! ...oh! So beautiful!"
  1293.
1294. Cheliyi watches curiously, her expression brightening at the sudden meld. "That was not me, no. But still lovely!" She tests a stone with one foot, humming thoughtfully.
  1295.
1296. Once the stones are in place, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart gathers up their construction tools and the wood to set all on one table, then look at everything else they had gathered. "Well, I think that is everything! Once friend child Cheliyi finishes with the rest of the vines." They laugh happily and turn to Cheliyi, saying, "You must have really wanted it to work, so it did! It is simple wish magics."
  1297.
1298. With a wave of their hand, you say to Cheliyi, "Nonsense! Was totally your magics - saw you do the vines! You --."
  1299.
1300. You nod your head emphatically.
  1301.
  1302. Cheliyi blinks.
  1303.
1304. Cheliyi stares down at her palms, before nodding slowly. "I see, yes. Goodly to know! Anywhere else I should add an orb, or vines, Dad?"
  1305.
1306. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters has entered the realm of Lusternia.
  1307.
1308. You have emoted: Gurashi scratches their head. "No - the one is O-K for now, sweetling." They puff their cheeks, smiling in the wyrdenwood's direction, wings flapping. "It is perfect!"
  1309.
1310. You chirp happily at Cheliyi.
  1311.
1312. Cheliyi nods slowly, her chimes clinking against one another in a soft melody.
  1313.
1314. That globe only seemed to light about a quarter of the room. At some point, the other three quarters should get their own.
  1315.
1316. With a brilliant smile, waving a paw at the new greenhouse, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart exclaims to you, "Do you like it, Friend Gurashi? With you singing real nice to the plants, and giving them new homes, and using this nice water to grow them, with your new sun globes? I am sure you will have beautiful, regular, not-magic plants in no time!"
  1317.
1318. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "It is a lovely start, yes... ah!"
  1319.
1320. You nod your head emphatically.
  1321.
1322. You think to yourself: Do not want to be greedy, still...!
  1323.
1324. Bunching their shoulders, you say, "It is - this is all too much. Am so grateful."
  1325.
1326. As though it were painfully obvious, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "Plants love to be sung to, and they talk by singing! So you will want to sing to them and play them all sorts of music. That is how they grow the biggest, and bestest."
  1327.
1328. Gesturing, you say, "Think that would have to ACTIVELY try to make plants not grow to make them not grow..."
  1329.
1330. You nod your head sagely.
  1331.
1332. Cheliyi inspects the room curiously, before smiling warmly at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart. "Thank you so muchly again, yes. Without your help, the room would not look as lovely, no. The plants will be singing much happier, now."
  1333.
1334. Your melodic voice sings into Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters's mind, "Dear one! I am preparing to go to rest, but dearest Beloved Aschwar is visiting and has remade my greenhouse most wonderfully! Cheliyi helped and put in thelights! It is most amazing!"
  1335.
1336. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods and says to Cheliyi, "You will have to tell me. Until my brain is fixed, I cannot hear them no more." They smile despite this somber pronouncement that coincides with the lightning flash, saying, "I am sure it will go very goodly. But...it is time for me to go, now."
  1337.
  1338. Cheliyi blinks.
  1339.
1340. The melodious voice of Tridemon resonates in your mind, "Oh? Sounds pretty."
  1341.
1342. Cheliyi nods slowly, her chimes clinking against one another in a soft melody.
  1343.
1344. Happily, you say, "Am singing all the times even when not watering the plants, so they must hear me... I hope?" They reach out near one of the tiny planters, cupping their hand around the struggling sprout. "I will sing a little extra, just in case."
  1345.
1346. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says, "Sing TO them, it makes them feel very special."
  1347.
1348. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods their head sagely.
  1349.
1350. You nod your head emphatically.
  1351.
1352. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Be well, Mixter Aschwar! I hope you can visit Dad again soon, yes. It is nicely to see you."
  1353.
1354. Perking up, you say, "Yes! I will! I will."
  1355.
1356. Great waves crash over one another as they pour in from the east, finally swirling together before solidifying into Tridemon.
  1357.
1358. Suddenly reaching out, their eyes widening, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "I will sing to them every month - I promise!"
  1359.
  1360. Tridemon hugs you compassionately.
  1361.
  1362. Cheliyi blinks.
  1363.
  1364. Cheliyi beams broadly.
  1365.
  1366. Cheliyi hugs Tridemon compassionately.
  1367.
1368. You reach out, pulling Tridemon into a tight embrace.
  1369.
1370. You throw back your head as you let loose a delighted laugh.
  1371.
1372. "Hopefully I will have lots of time, but if the Saint is ready for works to start again, then I will be helping her until she doesn't need me any more." Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart beams, and then beams even more widely towards Tridemon, waving a paw towards him in greeting. "Hello, mister friend Tridemon!"
  1373.
1374. You give Tridemon a peck on the cheek.
  1375.
1376. Wings flapping, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "If can do anything to help with stuffs, please please me know."
  1377.
1378. Nodding their head, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says to you, "I promise I will if I can, but it's all very secret, so I might not be able to."
  1379.
1380. Nodding, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "That is O-K! I know, I know - but if YOU need things."
  1381.
1382. You have emoted: Gurashi points at the lemonade.
  1383.
1384. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Hello, hello. How have you been? Plenty of honey and good food?"
  1385.
1386. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "I know I am probably even less likely to be allowed to know, but I am also happy to help! If you need it."
  1387.
1388. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods their head and responds to Tridemon, "Yes. Lots of training, and lots more works to help the Saint get the Vaults ready for the Beloved. It is very slow going, and she says we are not even halfway through."
  1389.
  1390. Thoughtfully, you whisper, "Vaults..."
  1391.
1392. With a brilliant smile, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says to Cheliyi, "So long as you are not an enemy of the Beloved, everyone is allowed to visit the Shifting City. Especially if they are family to a Beloved! You just have to ask before you can come into the temple."
  1393.
1394. Cheliyi nods slowly, her chimes clinking against one another in a soft melody.
  1395.
1396. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart nods his head at you.
  1397.
1398. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "I would never want to be, anyways. You all are nicely."
  1399.
1400. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Be an enemy, that is."
  1401.
1402. Their eyes a little wide, Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart says to you, "The Thief has SO much stuff. Each one of those oranges? It is a treasure. Sometimes as big as a whole house, inside one little fruits."
  1403.
1404. You have emoted: Gurashi flashes Cheliyi a warm smile, their wings suddenly folding. "I know what mean."
  1405.
  1406. You blink.
  1407.
1408. You boggle at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  1409.
1410. Cheliyi boggles at Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart.
  1411.
1412. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "...that - but."
  1413.
1414. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  1415.
1416. You have emoted: Gurashi begins to count frantically on their fingers.
  1417.
1418. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "That is MANY treasures! It must be a very big vault..."
  1419.
1420. You nod your head sagely.
  1421.
1422. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Even a shop rift should not be able to fit a whole house..."
  1423.
1424. In disbelief, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "No -wonder- are so busy...."
  1425.
1426. Cheliyi stares blankly into space.
  1427.
1428. "Now, now, My Ash. You would not want to give away all of My secrets." A great alien voice echoes oddly throughout the room, reverberating against and with itself as a swirling portal of inky black feathers opens behind the tae'dae. "Come now, it is time for training. This time against an opponent who is more mobile than the stones upon which you step."
  1429.
1430. You hands fly to your mouth as you give a short gasp of elation.
  1431.
1432. You bounce up and down.
1433. You bounce up and down.
1434. You bounce up and down.
  1435.
  1436. Cheliyi blinks, slowly.
  1437.
1438. You think to yourself: * swirling pastel sunset hues - a sense of disbelief and a quickly deepening - suddenly excitement *.
  1439.
1440. Tridemon nods his head sagely.
  1441.
1442. The grass rustles slightly as a warm night breeze caresses your skin.
  1443.
1444. Excitedly, you say to Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart, "Oh! Stay goodly and stay kind! And I love you muchly! And."
  1445.
1446. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Secrets are important- for good or ill."
  1447.
1448. Cheliyi hums softly, her leaves resonating in tune with a set of bone chimes affixed to her branches.
  1449.
1450. Aschwar, the Ebongold Heart blushes and quickly gathers their construction tools and the planks of cherry-coloured wood under one arm, using the other to wave fondly towards each of you. "Good-byes everyone! I will see you all another time! I love you!" Turning, they exit quickly into the portal which stays open only for a moment longer before abruptly disappearing - the only sign it were ever there the faint scent of citrus.
  1451.
1452. Cheliyi waves goodbye as Aschwar dashes away, humming thoughtfully to herself.
  1453.
1454. Waving at the portal, you exclaim, "Goodbye, Most Beloved! Goodbye Beloved Aschwar!"
  1455.
  1456. You chirp happily.
  1457.
1458. (clan): You say, "...time to rewrite room desc! (tomorrow)"
  1459.
1460. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly wheels around to look at Tridemon, bouncing in their spot. "Dear one dear one dear one," They throw their arms around the lucidian's shoulders, hugging tight before pointing at the newly remade greenhouse. "LOOK at what two of my favorite peoples help me build!" They point at the newly formed river. "Look! The rocks FLOAT!"
  1461.
  1462. Tridemon hugs you compassionately.
  1463.
  1464. Tridemon hugs Cheliyi compassionately.
  1465.
1466. You give Tridemon a peck on the cheek.
  1467.
1468. You reach out, pulling Tridemon into a tight embrace.
  1469.
1470. You reach out, pulling Cheliyi into a tight embrace.
  1471.
  1472. You think to yourself: * w a r m *.
  1473.
1474. Cheliyi suddenly shakes out her leaves, joining the embrace.
  1475.
1476. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Cheliyi, "Did Gurashi give you excellent hugs?"
  1477.
1478. A river flows from northwest to southeast, two-and-a-half feet wide and deep as it runs through the greenhouse in a diagonal line. Several stones remain rooted, floating firmly in place as stepping stones at multiple places throughout. Around the room, the tables have been rearranged to give more space and offer more chance for growth to the planters. Finally, a single globe of sun-like warmth hangs from a wyrdenwood vine that is attached to the ceiling.
  1479.
  1480. Cheliyi blinks.
  1481.
1482. (clan): You say, "I love mysby reee."
1483. (clan): You say, "Thank you God."
1484. (clan): Cheliyi says, "Writing the desc for you vnksncjksdnjkd."
  1485. (clan): You say, "They're so good T~T <3."
  1486.
1487. Cheliyi flashes Tridemon a quiet smile, her leaves shaking with amusement.
  1488.
1489. Tightening the embrace ever so slightly, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Dad did, yes. And so did you. So... it is good."
  1490.
1491. Cheliyi hums thoughtfully, looking back up at the orb. "I should probably make some more cradles, yes. We need... maybe three or two more? What do you think, Dad?"
  1492.
1493. You have emoted: Gurashi squeezes best they are able, glancing up. "Three? Two?" They look about. "...Let us do three. Four total." Suddenly, they hang their head, resting it against Tridemon's chest. "But Can do that another time. Think is time to have a -sleep-."
  1494.
1495. Cheliyi nods slowly, her chimes clinking against one another in a soft melody.
  1496.
1497. With a melodic trill, you say, "Am so grateful. What did do to deserve such niceness..."
  1498.
1499. Cheliyi gives you a friendly squeeze.
  1500.
1501. With a gentle creak, Devotee of the Tah'vrai, Cheliyi, the Pebble in the Pond says, "Be you, yes."
  1502.
1503. You have emoted: Gurashi shapes out their wing with a fierce flap, their feathers piffing off of Cheliyi uselessly.
  1504.
1505. The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
  1506.
1507. Cheliyi huffs, leaning back as her countless branches slap in her face.
  1508.
1509. A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.
  1510.

1584. (NEW FINAL DESC AS OF NEXT MORNING)
1585. The walls of the greenhouse are constructed from ravenwood beams fitted with transparent crystal and glass, allowing plenty of natural light to filter through to the plants. A river flows from northwest to southeast, two-and-a-half feet wide and deep as it runs through the greenhouse in a diagonal line. Several stones remain rooted, floating firmly in place as stepping stones at multiple places throughout. Around the room, the sturdy wooden tables have been rearranged to give more space and offer more chance for growth to the planters. Vibrant splashes of color from the garden are visible through the glass panes on the north facing wall. A few sets of homemade wind chimes adorned with seashells and driftwood hang from the open panels to the west, tinkling on the slightest breeze. Finally, a single globe of sun-like warmth hangs from a wyrdenwood vine that is attached to the ceiling.
