- “ORDER UP! Huevos Rancheros with light axle grease!”
- The short order cook behind the grill in the kitchen looks through the tiny port-hole of a window towards the entirety of the diner. He places a plate with the aforementioned meal onto the window sill, and gets back to work on cooking everything he can. However, the waitress to pick up that meal, a Pinluv girl with a rather plump rump, light skin, long flowing hair tied back into a ponytail, and one round eye in the middle of her face picks up that ceramic plate filled to the brim with food, holds it in one hand, and makes her way towards one of the customers that are sitting at the small countertop in the middle of the room. Such is the layout of a diner, after all. After a moment of making sure that she had everything she needed sauce-wise, and checking to see if there were any drinks that needed to be refilled, the sound of the bell hooked onto the door rings through the air.
- Kling-ka-kling-a-ling~
- A squirrel girl with warm auburn fur, bright eyes, and the bushiest tail in the room makes her way into the place along with the sound of that bell. She smiles for a moment, looks around, and lets out a bit of a huff. Yeah, this looked like the place alright. The Pinluv girl makes her way towards her, and runs her fingers through her hair to straighten it out a bit.
- “Feel free to have a seat wherever you’d like.” she says, her voice sounding almost like autotune mixed with a small choir. The various customers look up for a moment at the sound of her voice. Some smile and get back to their meal. Others simply keep looking towards the two of them by the door.
- “Aw, thank you! I think I’ll have… that booth over there in the corner.” And like that, the squirrel girl struts her way over towards the corner, plops her rump down onto the vinyl-coated seat, and scoots her way in. After picking up a menu from behind the napkin dispenser, she opens it, and starts to scan through it, her eyes getting a bit wider and wider with each section of that enormous menu she makes her way through. “Oh, wow, that’s… a lot more than I was expecting, yeah.”
- The Pinluv girl makes her way over after a moment or two, and pulls out a pad of paper, flips through it for a moment or two before finding a blank page, and putting her pen tip against it.
- “What can I get you, miss?” Her layered voice rings out into the air once more, causing one or two people to look up from their meals once again. Thankfully, they return to their hash browns and griddle cakes after a moment.
- “Gosh, y’know, a lot of this looks good… Um… tell you what- I’m gonna have two omelettes, one with diced green peppers, the other with diced red peppers and sausage. Then, I’m gonna have some of those home fries, pancakes, and bacon as thick cut as you’ve got, please. Then, I’m gonna get a cup of coffee with some of that artificial sweetener, a cup of orange juice, and a glass of water.” By now, the Pinluv girl is scribbling down as fast as she can as best as she can. Her one eye is wide as one of the dinner plates that she’s used to carrying.
- “Right, um… anything else?”
- “Hum… you have any sort of desserts?” At that, the Pinluv girl points towards the back of the squirrel’s menu, taps it once or twice, and steps back once again. The squirrel turns it around, scans through the desserts, and gives the Pinluv a bright smile. “Yeah, I’m gonna need some of that Lemon Meringue Pie, please. I know it’s gonna be just amazing, y’know?” And like that, the squirrel bats her lashes at the Pinluv once or twice. Just to make sure she sees it, right? The Pinluv in question nods, smiles, and starts to head back towards the window that leads towards the kitchen.
- She tears off the bill from her booklet, attaches it to a clothes pin, and gives a sharp “PHWEET” sound before sending that piece of paper into the kitchen. After that, the Pinluv smiles, and starts to go around to tend to her other customers. Though, soon enough, her work is interrupted by the sound of a bell ringing a few times.
- “ORDER UP, ZILCH! Two omelettes, one with the green spicy, one with the red spicy, home made love, a couple o’ flat pillows, and oink strips! In the window!” And like that, the Pinluv girl makes her way back over towards that window to pick up that- wow, that’s a lot of food. She gawks at it all for a moment or two before furrowing her one brow… Yeah, she could try and take them all in one go, couldn’t she?
- “Hey, uh, y’know, try not to hurt yourself or anything, yeah? Just take it slow. No need to worry about trying t’ take it all at once, right?” The squirrel calls out towards the Pinluv. She had just thought of that, too, didn’t she…? She shrugs her shoulders, and simply does as told, and brings those plates two at a time towards the squirrel’s table. Soon enough, the squirrel’s entire table is covered in ceramic, food, and glasses filled with various beverages; and the Pinluv lets out a small sigh once she sets down the last plate. Yeah, time for her break. So, she makes her way back to the kitchen window, whistles twice with a “PHWEET-PHWEET”, and jabs her thumb back behind her.
- Once she lets the cooks know what she was doing, she starts to make her way towards one of the empty seats in the middle of the place.
- “Oh, hey, uh, you wanna have some of this? I dunno if I’m gonna be able to eat it all at once. Wanna help me try and… finish it off?” And the squirrel gives her yet another subtle wink. “I mean, if not, I could always use some to-go boxes. That alright?” The Pinluv smiles, takes a seat across from the squirrel, and start to help her work through the vast mountain of food she had in front of themselves. But, after a minute or two, the Pinluv lets out a small choir-esque belch, and lets out a giggle before getting up from her seat.
- She starts to make her way over towards the soda fountain, and once there, reaches off to the side of it. Let’s see… where was- there was. She pulls out an entire stack of styrofoam to-go boxes. She goes through them for a moment to see that they weren’t broken or anything, and smiles at them being nice and intact. Nevertheless, she brings them back to the squirrel’s table, and gives her another smile.
- “Ah, good, good. You mind helpin’ me get all of this food in these things? I mean, I’d be ever so grateful, y’know?” And with her own small belch, the squirrel starts to pack away her food, one box at a time. Rightfully so, the Pinluv girl helps her out, and with a bit of practiced speed, gets all of that food into twelve of those styrofoam packages. “Hah, there we go! Hey, y’ mind helpin’ me out by taking some of these things out to my car? It’s that bright purple one out front.” The Pinluv girl looks out through the slightly frosted windows to the bright purple muscle car parked out in front of the building. A car like this was on the market for a lot of money. More than she could ever make working here. The Pinluv girl carries a good three of those boxes out with her, and waits by the bright purple car in question. A moment passes before the lights flicker, and the sound of the trunk’s lock clicking open fills the immediate area. Once she’s done putting those boxes into the trunk, and the squirrel finishes putting her own six boxes in, she lets out a sigh.
- “Hey, thanks a bunch. I can see why th’ place is so highly rated.” The squirrel gives the Pinluv a quick up-down glance before suddenly standing up straight. “Oop, be right back, forgot something in there.” And she makes her way into the diner once more. Though, she’s back just as fast. “Hey, thanks again for the food. It was really good. I hope you don’t mind if I left ya’ a little bit of a tip in there, yeah?”
- And like that, the squirrel hops into her car, straps herself in, and starts it up with a loud “VROOOM” sound. Once she pulls out, she drives away, leaving the Pinluv in a bit of a shock. That was one hella sweet car. Nevertheless, all that carrying out of food left her with barely anything left in her break, and she was probably going to get chewed out by her boss for spending too much time off the clock. So, she makes her way in, and starts towards the squirrel’s tab...le… There was a small wad of napkins with something scribbled onto it near one of the empty glasses.
- She tilts her head, reaches for it, and gives it a quick once-over. “777-505-9263”... Was this that squirrel’s number? She presses a bright smile onto her face before taking that napkin, folding it up into a neat square, and putting it into her apron pocket. Wait, there was something else in there, too… Flowers? They certainly look nice, and they smell nice, too… A picture, too? What is-
- She lets out a small gasp before a bright pink blush appears on her cheeks. It was the squirrel, dressed in some of the skimpiest clothing she’s ever seen! She looks around the place for a quick moment before she folds it up and puts it into her pocket, too. What else is there in- Fifty dollars…!? She looks up towards the road where the squirrel had driven down... She’ll have to thank her at some point in the future. Ah, one last thing in here...
- She looks around for a moment, blushes brightly once again, and stuffs a small pair of finger bands into her pocket. Certainly generous of her, and… well, she could have a bit of fun once she got home, right? She smiles brightly, gives her rump a shake, and starts to clean up the squirrel’s mess once more. She was going to have a ball trying to scrub all of those plates by hand...
