Story Idea

Plot:
Since MC was a kid, they've been having reoccurring dreams. Their dreams would either be about pleasant events or instances of their death. These dreams are linked together by one aspect: it's caused by a guy. It can either be the same person from the previous night or be an entirely different one.

Background:

The yandere could either be the direct or indirect cause of their darling's death. Still haven't worked through the details with that, but ehh, details can come later :^).

During their grieving, a spirit of sorts appears before them in a dream. The spirit asks them what they desire the most in this world. Obviously, they answer their darling after going through a flashback montage of the good times which just piled up their regrets :^). The spirit says that resurrection isn't possible because the darling's soul has left to a place even the spirit can't reach. It then proposes an alternative: reincarnation.

The spirit can create a link between the yandere and the darling, basically making them "soulmates". Both of them will interconnect at some point of their lives and be drawn towards each other. It then adds that the yandere will remember bits of their past lives via dreams to help them remember to not fuck up.

The yandere then asks the spirit what it wants in return. Haven't thought more about what the spirit exactly wants, but the yandere will still accept the deal whatever the catch is.

Originally, Yan-kun wasn't a yandere, you see. The blame would have to fall on Spirit-san for that (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤. Soul tampering goes brr.

[Malicious Spirit]
This spirit is a liar. It has no power to do any of those, and majority of what it has said was already part of world's system. Their abilities mainly consist of dream and emotion manipulation. They're the puppeteer of this story's conflict.

Their purpose is to create more malice for the world to absorb.

[World]
The world is a living object that governs everything that happens within it. The reason for its creation is still unknown. Creator-san isn't exactly the best explainer. For some unknown reasons, it has a self-destruct system. Once the world absorbs enough malice to reach its limit, it will start to create an apocalypse of sorts to erase the existence of everything within it. However, malice can be cleansed by absorbing [].

Story Formatting:
Planning on giving readers choices as to how the MC will act in some situations, and depending on their choice, it could give more info. The plan is to make readers guess who the yandere is among the 3 people.
