Avar glanced down at the grain silos beneath the walkway. Then, swatting aside another flurry of blaster shots, she backed up a few paces and ran. Her lightsaber raked across the metal plates of the gantry as she leapt, twisting, and curling, right over the heads of the two Nihil guards. She landed softly on the other side, beside KC-78, who beeped loudly in admiration.

The walkway groaned as it shifted uneasily, a line of molten metal tracing where Avar’s lightsaber had sliced right through a section of floor plates and struts.

The Nihil turned, confused, as the gantry began to sag. Dascha, still undeterred, raised his blaster again.

Avar simply swung her lightsaber low, cutting through the floor plates just before her feet.

There was a shrill screech of rending metal, and then the entire section of the upper walkway—the section that the two Nihil remained standing on—slewed to the left, before tumbling away, crashing down into the grain silos beneath. The two Nihil went with it, arms flailing, thudding down hard into the large, open cylinder of grain below.

They sprawled beside each other on the grain, rendered unconscious from the fall.
