- "Rainbow, NO!"
- >Butterscotch yelled as the zombified hooves of his friend grabbed onto his flanks
- >"Oh come on, Scotch!"
- >Dash let her wings go limp, crashing into her friend
- >her dead weight made the stallion topple to the ground with her
- "NO, please!"
- >he started thrashing about, trying to shake the mare off
- >but her front legs were wrapped around his midsection
- >Butterscotch ceases his attempts at escape
- >he covered his head with his hooves
- >ready to accept his fate
- >
- >he felt her hooves release from around him
- >Wait, this is his chance!
- >he quickly rolled onto his back, preparing to kick his formerly alive friend and make a break for it
- >a weight sat onto his chest, eliciting a small squeak from within him
- >"Oh, Butterscotch..."
- >he looked into the dull pinkish eyes of the mare as she crawled up his body
- >pulling herself with her front hooves
- >"Please? For your old pal Dashie?"
- "I d-don't really want to..."
- >"But Scotch..."
- >Dash was eye to eye with Butterscotch
- >the stallion's eyes snapped shut
- >"I never got a chance to... y'know, do it... the last time I was alive."
- >she touched one of her ichor-covered hooves to the side of his face
- >"But now I have a new lease on life! Another go at it!"
- >she leaned in closer to the stallion, rubbing the side of his face with hers
- >"I can do all the stuff I wanted to do, but never got a chance to! So whadda say?"
- >Butterscotch opened one eye and looked down at the zombie mare on top of him
- "um, Rainbow..."
- >"Yes?" she answered, one of her hooves toying with his ear
- "I don't think we can... you know..."
- >his voice went to a whisper
- "do it."
- >Dash's eyes shot open in surprise
- >"Why not? Is it because I'm a little dirty, cause I can-"
- "No."
- >the stallion cut her off, pointing down at her lower body
- "It's because you, um, seem to have lost your back half"
- >the mare's head spun around to see that right below her wings, where her hips would start, was nothing
- >her lower body had fallen off at some point
- >"oh..."
