Elana / Anastasia Background

The Twins, Elana and Anastasia, were born in some unknown region of the Forsaken Realm through a forbidden ritual that killed their mother and caused their father to abandon them at birth.  Somehow making their way into one of the outer kingdoms, they were passed from family to family, due to some unknown bad luck that seemed to strike all that took care of them until they were passed to an orphanage in Zenith. Some time after their 5th birthday (according to their records), tired of the streak of bad things, the orphanage caretaker sought to cast the twins to the streets, where they were came across by Xion. In a moment of charity, he adopted the duo and raised them. He quickly investigated and discovered their true origins within the Forsaken Realm, discovering their unique biology, allowing their brains to grow and evolve quicker than the rest of their bodies. Using a ritual conducted by the Imperial Mage Order, the duo were relieved of their bad luck streaks and went onto calling Xion their brother, despite his status as their adopted father, as thanks as well as forcibly joining the Emperor's Elite Squadron of the Knights of Ren.
