Dear xxx,

Thank you for your support and thank you for using MEGA!

Your MEGA account "xxx@gmail.com" has now been 'un - parked' as per your request into a restored account with login email address of "xxx+1@gmail.com".

You can now log in back to your account using this new un-parked email address (+1 format!) and the password that you used before your account had been parked.

Alternatively, you can reset the password with the Recovery Key you exported before account parked.

When you first log into this un-parked account make sure you use one of the compatible browsers we recommend.
Then go to Menu and select 'Reload' to clear your browser cache.

Please note that all your previous 'Contacts' and incoming 'shared data' from other users will be deleted from your account and you have to add your contacts and ask for the shared data to be re-shared to this new email address (+1) again.


Reset password with Recovery Key

You can use a browser on your PC / laptop or our Android or iOS apps to proceed:

1. Select "Forgot Password" on the Login screen
2. Tick 'YES' I do have Recovery Key backed up and enter your email address in the field. You must enter the unparked '+1' format.
3. Go to your email inbox, find the email 'MEGA Password Recovery' and click on the red button "Unlock your Account".
4. Insert your backed up Recovery Key and reset your account by nominating a new password.


PLEASE NOTE:

If you want to keep the data you've uploaded to your new account while the original one was parked, you will have to merge it with your original account (+1 format).

How to merge your accounts:

1. Log in the new account and put all files and folders under one master folder in your Cloud Drive.
2. Right-click on the master folder, select 'sharing’, add the +1 email address and grant Full access.
3. Log into your original account (+1 format) and you will see the folder available in the ‘Shared with me’ section.
4. Right-click on the shared master folder, select ‘Copy‘ and ‘Paste‘ it on your Cloud Drive.
5. Cancel the new account
