This is an impressive torc with a twisted pattern that rests snugly at the base of the neck. The curved band has been twisted together from two materials, giving it a striped light-and-dark pattern. The first material is easily identifiable, that being polished bronze with its characteristic deep, ruddy tone. The second material is less recognisable. It seems as if it might be some form of stone with a pale tan colour, but on close inspection its surface seems to be constantly in flux with tiny shifting grains, as if it is actually somehow made of loose sand that is staying in the shape of the torc via some unknown means.

It has been constructed from some unidentifiable silvery wood, and engraved with runic markings that shimmer faintly when viewed from a particular angle. A faceted sapphire the size of a man's palm has been set into the top of the rack, catching the light and throwing it back in an array of rainbow sparkles.

This is a stack of documents, each one looking as legitimate and officially-sanctioned as they come. Each page is of thick, creamy vellum, each pen-stroke precise and made with the blackest ink, and the illumination and gilding that decorates the documents is truly remarkable. The sheaf, which contains everything necessary to prove a person's age and date of birth, is held together in a custom-crafted leather wallet and held closed with a crimson ribbon that bears an official seal pressed into gold.

This is a broad bangle that has been carved from a material that looks like bone, though its colour is a deep, almost-black purple rather than the expected off-white. It is carved on all surfaces with tiny cavorting figures, some four-legged, some winged and some bipedal. Here and there, a tiny faceted emerald has been set into the carvings, picking out eyes that glimmer and gleam brightly.

This is a heavily ornamental object, crafted from gold and rich mahogany. A short handle, carved with opulent scrollwork and polished to a satiny sheen, allows the artefact to be grasped comfortably. Attached to the top of this handle is a sculpture of a human hand, rendered in lustrous gold. The hand's posture is relaxed, its index finger lazily outstretched as if casually reaching for something. The hand is patterned all over with ornate designs that twist and curl and show an utterly masterful level of craftsmanship; truly, this is a signifier of utmost riches.

It is faceted and uneven, approximately wedge-shaped and sized to fit in the palm, though to actually hold it is to make oneself vulnerable to injury; it is difficult to accurately tell where the razor-sharp edges lie, the precise shape of the shard defying close examination with an odd, heat-haze shimmer. The shard has been wrapped with wire of an unidentifiable metal which, at least, seems capable of securing the material. The wire wrapping has several spikes and arms leading off from it, giving a means to secure the shard to something if necessary.
