File 38: Floor 3's MW area (Part 2)

NOTE FOR CONTEXT
This file just covers Rex Ruins, the area in the Northern Wasteland where the North Gate and Last Oasis are.

A giant creature's low sleeping breaths vibrate through the walls...
There, Two-Headed King Rex's giant body slumps in sleep! [TN: "Slumps" here could be lean, tip, slant, tilt, bend...]
If you wake King Rex, you'll become his prey right away! [TN: The Japanese here just calls him "Rex" each time, but since the DM's English name is *also* Rex, I think it's better to use "King Rex" in these cases]
What will you do?
	Sneak forward [TN: Literally "Secretly continue]
	Turn back anyway

The adventurer needs to somehow cross the path without being noticed by King Rex.
But while walking, he might make noise and wake King Rex up.
Therefore, every 5 steps a dice roll will decide if you accidentally wake King Rex, with a probability of 40% [TN: Every 5 steps you make while on this screen, the game pauses to do a dice roll. If the roll is <= 40, King Rex wakes up and attacks.]

Two-Headed King Rex rushes at you! [TN: The word used here could be "to rush" or "to attack", and either one works in context]

	[After beating Two-Headed King Rex in the temple]
レックスは  しんだように
ふたたび  ふかいねむりについた
King Rex fell into a deep sleep again, as if he were dead.
[TN: Even if you win the battle, he just falls back asleep, and still has a chance of waking up again and fighting you again every 5 steps]

This is the North Gate, last of the three great watergates.

	<King Rex>
	[Encountering Two-Headed King Rex on the way back. After opening the North Gate, King Rex is automatically awake when you re-enter the screen he's on. So no matter how lucky you are, you will have to battle him at least once here]
すいもんを  ひらいた  おとで
レックスは  めざめてしまった!
こちらへ  むかってくる!!
The sound of the watergate opening woke King Rex!
He's coming this way!

	[Chased by Two-Headed King Rex near the temple exit. Once you've opened the North Gate and are about to leave, he reappears for an optional battle (So this translation needs to make sense when combined with the line above). This line is also read *AGAIN* as you leave the temple, so it must also make sense in isolation]
レックスが  おいかけてきた!
King Rex is chasing you!
