In a backward post-apocalyptic world, She aids two brothers' quest to rescue their kidnapped sister. Along the way, they battle orgiastic werewolves, a psychic communist, a tutu-wearing giant, a mad scientist, and gladiators before standing against the odds to defeat the evil Norks.
Mix together sword-and-sorcery and post-apocalyptic elements, add a dose of political allegory (note the Communist and Nazi symbols), a contemporary music score and some surreal moments that seem to have come straight out of Monty Python (a bridge guard who multiplies every time you chop off one of his limbs) and you have this bizarre film that is neither a straight adventure nor exactly a spoof. It suffers from an overly episodic structure, but it benefits from Sandahl Bergman and Quin Kessler as the two muscular, beautiful Amazon warriors who are as proficient with a sword as with any other weapon. Both actresses are perfectly cast and do their roles justice, capturing the right "always-ready-for-a-fight" mentality. How anyone can give this film a "1" when there are, at the very least, these two amazing women to look at is beyond me! (**)
If you like the odd, different and unusual this movie is for you. Very hard to classify and way out there. You will be mesmerized by this film or you will totally dismiss it. Like a creative mind that bounces from inspiration to inspiration rather than dwelling on topic and refining it to perfection. Yes, this is a low budget, over-reaching film that is more like cue-cards for the real version, yet given the latitude and forgiveness for its primitive roughness its ideas will stick with you for life. And, you will find yourself asking from time to time &quot;What ever happened to Quin Kessler?&quot;<br/><br/>Think a world of fractured realities, where travel is crossing into parallel worlds. Places where a simple idea is taken to its bazaar extreme and dominated by that reality. The hero&#39;s travel from reality to reality, where mutation is the norm and what is normal the odd. The journey is the unifying force and reality itself the variable.<br/><br/>With the likes of Sandahl Bergman, as the heroine, with her dancer moves and classic beauty, the movie&#39;s short comings are easy to overlook. The first time I rented this movie, I watched it all night long way into morning, over and over again. It is like brain candy.
