YGO Room rules

Note: This room is unrelated to the old Yu-Gi-Oh! rooms and will not be hiring admins from any of those rooms unless proven capable. We're avoiding the chaos that the old rooms fell into due to poor management. OOC drama results in a ban so don't do it. We do not tolerate mob mentality or cliques either, and though we don't preban- if we know you're a problem you have one chance with no appeal. There will be no gaslighting, harassment, or vagueing. No arguing OOCly and no fights, do not joke about sensitive topics such as rape in here either- these things may result in a ban as well. You're expected to behave like the adults you are and if you can't, you won't be participating. All duels will be on YGOPro and you will be required to have a Discord account. Questions and concerns should be directed to Kaiba. If no admins are online you should get screenshots and RPC Mail them to Kaiba to be reviewed so the appropriate action can be taken.

It should be obvious but main should be kept relatively PG-13/MA. Now, we can all handle injuries and gore, but intercourse will not happen in main, consensual or otherwise. This shouldn't have to be elaborated on but it is worth noting it will not be tolerated and posts will be deleted+participants will be banned.

ABOUT CHARACTERS:
I don't give two shits about crossover characters/AU characters from other series, etc. You WILL be human and nothing more if you bring a character from another series in, you will be limited to common knowledge and nothing more, and anything else MUST be discussed with a moderator/room owner before it can be done. You will not harass, gaslight, or otherwise attack someone for using a crossover/AU character as this kind of behavior WILL get you banned. Do not form a clique either and exclude people using crossover characters as this will ALSO get you banned. We don't discriminate based on a character choices and have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for this behavior. People can play the characters they want within reason and unless they're doing so in a way that breaks room rules or is disruptive, in which case they will be warned, and if they do not stop- they will be banned.

WE DO allow characters that aren't duelists as well, not everyone is obliged to play the game to roleplay in here.

ABOUT DECKS:
Decks should be based on character decks and should not be meta or extremely powerful, as we're trying to keep everyone on an even playing field. You can obtain more powerful cards through events and trading between characters but we can't allow meta decks right off the bat. Ignoring these rules will result in a ban.

VR WORLD MECHANICS:
- Life points do not regen/reset automatically after a duel, and must be healed by visiting a fountain located in the center of every major city plaza, or by using restorative items. The system states your life points can not reach negative values, but a few users have entered a duel and found themselves in dangerous situations when they refused to recover after a previously lost duel. These problems are currently being investigated.

- A rare item can be used to summon monsters over level 5 outside a duel for a maximum of 20 minutes, these items have tiers and limitations to what they can summon. Effect monsters have any damaging effects negated but LP recovery monsters do not. Currently all new users obtain a Broken Summoning Talisman (Demo item) after joining the game. Without these items, you may only summon a normal/effect monster up to level 5.

Broken Summoning Talisman - 5/5 charges - expires in 6 hours -
A dull, cracked summoning talisman. Summons a monster up to level 9 for twenty minutes outside a duel.
Summoning Talisman - 40/40 charges - Doesn't expire
Summons any Normal or Effect monster up to level 9 for twenty minutes outside a duel.
Shining Summoning Talisman - 40/40 charges - Doesn't expire
Summons any Synchro monster from the extra deck up to level 9 for twenty minutes outside a duel.
Onyx Summoning Talisman - 40/40 charges - Doesn't expire
Summons any XYZ monster from the extra deck up to rank 9 for twenty minutes outside a duel.
Amethyst Summoning Talisman - 40/40 charges - Doesn't expire
Summons any Fusion monster up to level 9 from the extra deck for twenty minutes outside a duel.

*We're not using an Admin/Moderator/Staff system, to avoid cliques, we're using a Guardian system. There will be select people known as Operators, who will work as room staff minus having any powers. They should be obeyed, but ultimately banning falls under the room owner's responsibility, they are not exempt from rules. If problems arise with users and a ban is required proof in the form of screenshots and/or timestamped text logs from both/all involved parties before anyone can be banned. This process may seem tedious and slow, but it's secure.
