  1. [16:05:20] Stepping onto the wooden boards, the Malpercian Vindicator took several steps forwards, accompanied by three undead. Violet hues stared forwards, occultic power would begin to radiate around him, and the man took a deep breath. With that, a big step would be taken, the man flinging himself forwards off of the dock and towards the wooden ships, making a loud sound as occultic boots would collide with the below ground.
  2.
  3. "Lets see who I'm-"
  4.
  5. The violet hues blinked a few times, eventually falling upon a few forms that seemed to put him out of luck. Several magi appeared to be waiting for him, and while the undead he commanded attempted to climb the wooden sides of the boat, the Vindicator would just let out a sigh, eyes falling upon a few forms.. And most fearfully the one of Bastet.
  6.
  7. "Right.. So before I get killed by you all, I'm going to have a last glass of wine." The man would say, before producing said wine and lifting his mask a little. The grape drink would be sipped from a glass before being placed down. "Right.. I guess lets begin."
  8. (Spike Malpercius)
  9. [16:05:20]
  10. It is both beautiful and sickening. Unlike her sister, she has decided to not fight upon land - but instead, terrorize those that are hovering atop of the water's surface. Brilliant wings drip molten flames onto the boats - setting each and every one of them on fire while gravity hoists her men into the air and bids them to follow her. Together, they will be the witness to the destruction of Alexandra's fleet. Together, Byson, Danarium, and Frostvale will savor the victory that they had been meaning to achieve. It is the only way. The only way possible for her to win. The only chance that she could remotely have if she were going to rip Alexandra off of her throne
  11.
  12. And one of the people who stand in her way is that of a vindicator. Her knuckles wrap around the hilt of Rokaros - her hues beginning to darken as she calls upon Judael's strength once more. "Spike Malpercius." His name spills from her lips as she descends upon the boat - gravity flinging his men off the board and replacing them with her own two. "You traitor." The word is harsh and sickening, the poison spilling from her tongue..
  13.
  14. "My father and mother helped your city and you turn your back against us to help Alexandra who clearly cares nothing for your people. You would rather side with Jerudiel Melym who openly kills your own instead of sitting back and watching the destruction of Tilandre. Your reasoning. Give it to me now." Her voice is flat. "Speak while me and my people show you the reasons as to why you should have never gotten involved." Simple, concise. The young Queen does not wait...Instead - she rushes forward...
  15. (Bastet Silvertongue)
  16. [16:13:00] Gregory would go to the boat and land, seeing that the queen of danarium was here he would let out a relieved sigh, he stood a chance if he had strong allies. He could deal good hits, but he didn't have the best luck during combat.
  17.
  18. He would look to the malpercian and go to speak
  19.
  20. "I don't know, I mean, perhaps we'll just ca--" Hearing the mention of him siding with Brighthold his expression would change and he unsheathed his sword "You sided with the Meylm?"
  21.
  22. He would follow suit and begin to charge at the Malpecian, Windcutter held stable in his hand, the massive blade seemed to be wielded well by him, he had been using the ancient weapon for years.
  23.
  24. "Lets do this!"
  25.
  26. He lifted off of the deck as he flew towards the Man, his holy lightning aura raging out of control, his spells primed and ready for combat.
  27. (Gregory Perrafin)
  28. [16:13:00] Cyrus had been waiting patiently underwater in his little air pocket for the battles to begin. He noticed that the magi in front of him were no longer there and a puzzled look came upon his face. He looked up from the ocean floor, head darting left to right as he sought to pick out a boat to land on, and as luck would have it, one passed overhead. He moved quickly to the left then shot straight up, propelling himself through the water using wind magic.
  29.
  30. The bubble popped as he broke through the surface, landing onto the boat to see none other than the Queen of Danarium herself, rushing forward towards a man wearing a mask and cloaked in Occultism. Cyrus wouldn't waste any time either. He would bring up an aura of Darkness about himself as well. Just then, a vortex swirled around the boy, winds feeding off of his Occultic power until they were tainted by the dark energy, forming a layer of Mourngale arounf his body.
  31.
  32. He tightened the buckler onto his left wrist before slowly pulling his short sword from its sheath. He'd flip the weapon to the reverse grip and get low, dashing towards the masked man as well. This would be his first encounter in a war, hopefully all turns out well?
  33. (Cyrus Sieghart)
  34. [16:14:43] {combat} Gregory Perrafin has been defeated by Spike Malpercius! They're unable to continue fighting.
  35. [16:14:43] {combat} Spike Malpercius has been defeated by Bastet Silvertongue! They're unable to continue fighting.
  36. [16:17:16] You manage to compose yourself and get up.
  37. [16:23:15]
  38. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. If there is one thing that the Queen knew about Spike - it was simply his desire to live. If he werent a Malpercian, then perhaps all would have been forgiven. If he were anything but the person that he is now...She would have told him to run away and never battle for Alexandra's fleet again. But as long as he is standing, as long as he is here - then the Queen has no choice but to extract all of her vengeance on him. Spike..
  39.
  40. The Queen does not understand him. Infact, the Queen had wished that the Vindicators would get their heads out of their asses. "You are shaming me. You allowed Alexandra to build Krausite temples in Alteros for the hell of it. You let her shit on everything that you stood for. Tell me...Please. What is it that Aranea and Alexandra do for you, besides ruin your city?" Her voice is calm, her wings fluttering, body still afloat despite the damage sustained.
  41.
  42. "Sareen would be disgusted at Alteros." Her grip upon Rokaros is fortified with earth, her vision rattling, breathe heaving up and down her chest. Spike was indeed...Stronger than she had expected, but what more could she say or do about the matter? "You all allowed Alexandra, Tertius, and Aranea to ruin everything she built....It must hurt, musn't it? To see a city once glorified for it's contents to be shat on by three individuals. Stand again, Spike. Stand and fight for the people you defend so...Hopelessly. Let this chance be the chance that you turn your back on the people who spat on the faces of those before you."
  43. (Bastet Silvertongue)
  44. [16:25:48] There was a silence, the man seemingly a bit taken back by Bastet's statements. He seemed to think over them a few seconds, before he was rushed, the attacks moving before he truthfully had time to anwser. It all stung honestly, but that was to be expected.. Spike was magi, perhaps even a super magi but against muitiple foes there was failures in his ability to fight and manuver.
  45.
  46. The final blow was struck, a giant wave of flames envolping the Vindicator's form as they were forced back.. It was all so painful, though the man dragged himself off of the wood of the boat's hull, glancing towards Bastet before speaking.
  47.
  48. "It was not my choice.
  49.
  50. I am one who serves, not one who challenges my higher authority. Tertius was the one who made descions, not I. I simply follow what the other Vindicators tell me to, and enforce the rules when I can..
  51.
  52. I am not one of Azrael's choosen. I was not choosen by him, or anything else.. I have no authority to speak against those that obtained his blessing, or those above me."
  53.
  54. Solemn words as the violet hues looked towards Bastet and his foes. ".. I am but one who serves the will of the people who command me. All I am is a catalyst, a weapon to be used." A sigh then, though now there would be no occultic energy wrapping around the Vindicator.. A new power instead became about them.
  55.
  56. Lilac depravity spewing power came from the Vindicator, differnt from occultic power however.. Voices began to speak, the essence of others lending their strength to the man who battled.. But on some level.. ".. You likely speak with truth. Sareen was wise to leave.. And indeed it all does hurt. But I am not choosen.
  57.
  58. I have no voice or ability to disobey those who are."
  59. (Spike Malpercius)
  60. [16:26:40] This was probably the most epic thing Cyrus has seen in his life. The Queen was a real force to be reckoned with. The Occultic male came in quickly, faster than Cyrus anticipated he would and knocked the boy upside the head with the shield, knocking him a little ways away. By the time Cyrus caught himself and got up the Queen had already summoned up a massive blackhole, restricting the movement of the Malpercian.
  61.
  62. Cyrus now had a determined look on his face, he would have to prove himself here! The boy quickly brought up a massive amount of water from the sea that surrounded them, he was truely in his element. He would direct the channels towards the Malpercian. Upon contact, Cyrus would add a great amount of super-cooled air to the water, freezing it as it hit the man! Ah, but he would not be immobilized for long. His mastery over pyromancy was more than acceptable, in fact, he seems to have mastered the art, able to produce flames from the freezing temperatures and melt the Ice.
  63.
  64. He lashed out, knocking out another gentleman who was assisting the Queen in her effort, the one that commanded Holy Lightning, shame. Cyrus then came in closer, cloaking his weapon in an aura of Mourngale as he slashed at the man, moving his blade quite expertly as he weaved through the flames that came at him. One by one, he and the Queen would go at the man, mourngale and ice combined with fire and gravity. They all came at a force too great and the man buckled under the pressure.
  65.
  66. Cyrus jumped back and readied his blade once more as he saw the necromatic magi get up once more.
  67. (Cyrus Sieghart)
  68. [16:26:40] Greg would fly high, throwing lightning at the Malperican and swinging at him whenever he could get close enough, but the foe was stronger than expected and his attacks did a fair amount of damage.
  69.
  70. Greg was the first to fall, though the Malpercian fell right afterwards. A sign of bad luck no doubt, perhaps today would be his last. He was ready, and wasn't scared.
  71.
  72. Slowly he would stumble to his feet, a bit of blood flowing out of him, though he maintained some balance, he would pick up his sword and cough up a bit of blood, preparing to go back into battle.
  73.
  74. "Kraus grant me strength. Grant me the strength to survive this battle..."
  75.
  76. Greg would stay on the ground this time, he would not try flying once more, falling from the air after being beaten was not a pleasant experiance.
  77.
  78. "R-round two.."
  79.
  80. Greg would crack his knuckles and prepare to head back into battle.
  81. (Gregory Perrafin)
  82. [16:42:01]
  83. It must hurt to feel something like this. It must hurt to feel everything around you beginning to falter, swirling into darkness. As the fight rages on and the bodies of every member within her team scatter in an attempt to run from him -- she notices that the wear and tear upon his form slowly begins to take an effect. It seems that age has truly caught up with the Malpercian until he finally falls. And that is when the Queen slowly moves forward. He had made several points that were deemed unforigveable to her. But at the same time...What more could she say? He said that he was a weapon, that he would simply listen and obey despite the logic or sense in it. And that is when she realized that she wanted someone like him.
  84.
  85. Someone faithful, willing to follow her into death despite knowing that defeat is very possible. The Queen drifts, sitting atop of his form - Rokaros hovering above her head - jamming downwards over and over again like a drill. But instead...It does not kill him just yet. "You are not a fucking weapon, Spike Malpercius" Thunk, thunk, thunk. The earth rattles underneath the group - groaning as lava slowly cracks the realm around her. "You are your own being. And you have done the unforgiveable. You...You rifted a kaor and others into our home. You ripped our most dangerous enemies out of our cell...What am I supposed to do to you, Spike? What is it that I am supposed to do when you have commited such heinous acts?"
  86.
  87. His fate was sealed the moment she had seen his arm. His fate had been sealed the moment he told her that he was nothing more than a weapon. Provided, she would have simply captured him...If he turned. But he had not. "Tell me! Spike...Are you truly willing to fight for Alexandra, for Aranea, for Tertiu after they ruined everything..Or will you stand beside me, Spike? Will you be one of my own?"
  88. (Bastet Silvertongue)
  89. [16:50:33] Pain.
  90.
  91. A screech of pain would have come from the Malpercian as he lay on the brown planks beneath him. Agony covered his form, the result of more then just the flame, wind, and lightning employed against him. The very essence of the beings that he sacrificed slashed and tore at his body, making it bleed, and the man felt every second of it to the largest degree. Hands balled, gripping at the brown leather that clung to his sides, absolute pain..
  92.
  93. Tears of both blood and water made streams down his face, deep breaths of air taken as the man rolled over onto his back. He had lost, but more then that.. his very body felt as if it were rejecting him now. The pain was enough to send lesser magi into insanity.. Yet the Vindicator bore through it, if only for the second.
  94.
  95. "I am my own being.. But I do not have choices to make. Tertius was the one who wanted to control Alteros.. Plum was the one who asked me to rift her friends into Frostvale..." Tears began to well once again in the man's eyes. ".. She promised me grandchildren.. I wanted a family..
  96.
  97. I will never have one.." A sigh, the violet hue gazing seawards as the man fell silent. ".. I am getting too old for fighting maybe.. Too old for this world.." A few seconds of silence before glancing at Bastet.
  98.
  99. "If I stand beside you, what will become of me?"
  100. (Spike Malpercius)
  101. [17:02:30]
  102. "You've had the choices for years, Spike. You've had all of these choices from the moment that you were born until now. We might've disliked you for your race, for your arm -- but we would have never actively hunted your people if you had staye inside of Alteros. You assisted in Alexandra's war not once, but penty of times...You've assisted in slaying my men, helped with Plum, did everything you could for what..? Nothing." Her voice is stern, her hands are still holding tightly onto Rokaros.
  103.
  104. "You are your own being, indeed -- Spike. And that is why I desire for you to join me." Her voice is soft - her body beginning to come to a stand, gravity lifting his own, holding him within mid-air. It is then when she would signal both of the subordinates to move carefully - to grasp onto either side of Spike's arms. "I want you to stand beside me...so that you could beome one of my own." Her voice is soft, hues are casted down -- heart is truly hurting...badly.
  105.
  106. He sounds just like her mother, but instead -- she actually had grandchildren. Bastet had just wished, she had just wished that things would have been different. That Spike would have truly drifted away from Alexandra instead of doing things like this...But it is unforgiveable. "This is your chance, Spike Malpercius. You can come to me willingly or come to me painfully. Either way...I am granting you immortality.." Through the use of Rokaros. He will be used in order to fight against his people. They will feel his essence, his strife, his tears as she decimates each and every one of them..
  107.
  108. Nevertheless, the Queen's sword rises and Rokaros' chains rattle - unwinding off of the blade as the world around Spike rattles. "Retire, spike. Do not let this world harm you...And live forever. Away from all of this." The blade becomes closer - pressing into his chest. Whether he wills it will determine the amount of pain he suffers. But he could feel Rokaros sapping at his very essence, drawing him into it's entity. She feels terrible. But such is war, is it not? Spike was quite the vindicator, amongst one of the most polite beings that she has ever met. But in the end -- she had no choice. It had to be this way. She couldn't risk it...Not her mercy, not again.
  109.
  110. This is war. And if death is what it takes to make a statement, then so be it. "Forgive me, Spike...But I cannot let you free. As a vindicator of Alteros, as a weapon...I can't give you the chance. But I can give you this chance." And thus - when Rokaros is shoved to the hilt..All would be over.
  111. (Bastet Silvertongue)
  112. [17:11:53] The Vindicator would sigh, looking towards the side and shaking his head. "Indeed.. Everything I could do has been for nothing.. I did not have powerful offspring, I did not have the blessing of Azrael.. I did not have anything.. Every choice I've had has been made for me.."
  113.
  114. There was a sad tone in his voice, as the man gazed towards the sea. "... Perhaps it is indeed time for me to retire. Time for me to fade. I have not accomplished anything. I was never strong enough to bring Azrael's vision, to bring immortality to this world. I was not strong enough to bring Malpercius' vision into this world, to bring his ultimate want to life.. I was not strong enough to protect my family, nor anyone else for that matter.
  115.
  116. .. Farewell Bastet. Of all the foes that could have killed me, I am glad it was you.. Do me a favor if you would.. If you can see Alteros is taken care of? There is nothing more that I would hope for... I want to do at least one thing right."
  117.
  118. The blade came ever closer to the Vindicator's chest, though the man did not fight it. "... I love this.. My death, its..
  119.
  120. Beautifully tragic."
  121. (Spike Malpercius)
  122. [17:21:16]
  123. "It would be you to think of offspring at a time like this, Spike." For the moment, the Queen frowns. "I believe our wish is to have someone to carry on our legacy. To have someone who will stand and let others echo our names for the future. You didn't have the blessing of Azrael...It's okay. Every choice you've made...Has been made for you and only you." Rokaros moves carefully, steadily through his persona. Her hues beginning to cast down. "But it's our choices in this world that will make us the way we are...In death, we are free. In life, we're imprisoned...But I can only give you this chance."
  124.
  125. Brilliant, decadent light spill around the two. Rokaros' chains rattle - whirling around the two as the Queen's mana spills about. "Do not say that you aren't strong. Do not dare say such....You are perhaps one of the most feared opponents I have ever faced. And I am happy to have faced you in batte, Spike. I ony ask that you forgive me. . . If things were different. If Alteros had not been involved, if Alexandra and Aranea and Tertius did not betray...Then you would not be this way." Her grip upon Rokaros tightens, her head beginning to shake from left to right..
  126.
  127. "I promise you that I will take care of Alteros. I'lll restore it to what it should have been long ago." And it is then, when Spike would begin to fade from existence..nothing left. "Your death isn't tragic, Spike. nothing is tragic. Your death is simply beautiful." And just like that -- his mana would disperse into Rokaros. Brilliant, purple flecks glow softly. "May we meet again.."
  128. (Bastet Silvertongue)
  129. [17:28:06] There was a slight chuckle from the Malpercian, a hand extending upwards to gently pat their cheek. "When one sits at their place of death.. It is best to reflect. Its.. it at least settles my mind.. I came into this life with nothing.. And I leave with.." A silence and a blink. "Actually, I should not leave with things.. Here."
  130.
  131. Reaching around the man's cloak, a small orb, and a spear would be produced, as well as golden neclace, a purple mark in the middle. "I don't want these things to die with me.. I'd rather they go on, even if carried by the hands of war.. I owe it this much." The blood would begin to drip from the man's mouth as he now looked upwords. "Indeed.. in death, at least there is freedom...
  132.
  133. Thank you for restoring Alteros. I die with no regrets." Removing the white mask that mostly covered the man's face, the Vindicator looked up towards the sky. The wrinkled thing would looked mauled over at some parts, as if the very skin had been pried up, healed and scabbed over with violet flesh.
  134.
  135. "I do hope we meet again in the next life.. But I will not keep Azrael waiting.. I am sure he has a place for me, burning inside one of the hottest stars.. I've heard this is what becomes to depraved beings.
  136.
  137. I guess I will see if its true."
  138. (Spike Malpercius)
