- Notes on my Patreon God Challenge #10, finished in 10h17m
- Phase 1 - climb:
- The ubv2 bonuses don't kick until you actually reach v2s, so here's the deal for the beginning of the challenge: you must climb, and might runs are banned. Shorter rbs only. In exchange, you get to start with 2500 gp.
- This is a big deal both ways and an understated part of the challenge. You really need to make use of that gp to climb at a reasonable pace with no unleash. In the first rbs purchases don't really do anything besides speed up building to clones softcap, and the leaving a large bank is how you get the most benefit. I immediately splurged quite carelessly and ended up with about 700 remaining afterwards, which ended up fine enough but I would have been better off doubling the bank and leaving most of the spending for later when it actually matters.
- You'll likely want to do 30 min rbs. Progression is going to feel annoying from Izanagi or so because instead of making your usual jumps through the gods, without unleash you'll rather move one god at a time and some milestones and feature unlocks will hang frustratingly out of reach. Just keep going slow and steady, whatever works as long as you make progress. Once you get to monument upgrades things should pick up a bit, even if still requiring more rbs than you're used to. Once you reach Jupiter, it's go time. For me it took about 4.5 hours from the beginning of the challenge to the first v2 kill.
- Phase 2 - early v2 farm:
- Rbs for your first v2 kills will be rather normal. While exponential gp gains yield insane numbers later, it also means slow initial growth, and it will continue to be frustrating seeing gains of 11, 12... here. Just remember that the immediate gains aren't the main reward, it's getting the scaling going.
- Keep v1 liquids and pills constantly running. Use a UIWERITVV 1+2 loop. With 100+ hge you should be killing v2s in 2/3/4/5 loops, but if you're doing your PGCs earlier you might need an additional one, or if you're strong and get lucky damage rolls, later ones might take one fewer. Your creating gets big enough here that initially you will have issues with regen even if you build mgu and hold off of anything else. The way around that is depleting your creating as low as possible with evil creations. Set your next ats for one additional creation for each v2 you're fighting, then carefully manage your creating gains so that you run out in the middle of creating a one extra evil.
- If you overshoot your creating stat but not by a whole lot, adjust your next at for the relevant creation up by 1 or 2 and set the previous one and make more evil creations to fix it. Or just run a whole batch and throw gp at the problem until it goes away, you shouldn't be counting those anymore. If you need to farm extra creating, use the night-sky loop (create nights, then trade down to skies).
- Enable Don't confirm buys in Gameplay Settings if you hadn't yet, you'll be clicking on a lot of buys from here. At this stage you should have at least 200-300k clones, some cc but likely you already bought more for qol than is really needed, then rest into cs and bs, whichever is more of a bottleneck at the time.
- Your rb routine should be, rebirth, max clones with 3gp buys, flick gods, creation next at 3 to the relevant creations, clones on monus with div gen switch on, build divgen. Don't upgrade it, just spam gp buy at 0/0/0 for however much you need. Clones on mg/u for 100-200 or so, I used a 1/1 spread between monus and upgrades. Keep working on evil creations so you know what your creating stat situation is and won't overshoot, and execute the fight when you've got the evils, again spamming 3gp buys to recover clones. Then create weathers to recover or nights again and build togu until your rb multis reach even-ish with previous. You don't care about climbing here, but you do want to avoid dropping so much that reaching Jupiter would become an issue.
- Phase 3 - gearing up for the finish:
- As you start getting real gp income and rbs get faster, you'll run into issues with the v2 fight being done too quickly for multis to have reached satisfactory levels (at below 8 mins rb length or so). If you find yourself needing to wait for time multis and togu building, you'll likely reach higher v2 kill frequency by extending to include gtv2. Farm the night-sky loop again for creating and spend as much gp on div as necessary, if it costs a few dozen gp per rb then who cares. You might want to spend adp on the offline creating boost too on top of the v1 liquid. Also start getting some divgen upgrades once your bs and clones get high enough for them to be fast.
- According to most guides going to lsv2 is overkill and once you have the first two on farm you could just finish from there with togu, but I don't know, didn't seem that way to me. The climbing gains from togu on short rbs are unimpressive, and once the exponential scaling starts ramping up it gets out of hand quick and doesn't take too many rbs to reach easy bhu territory. Maybe the togu approach is better if you never manually rb'd and always did hour-longs? Or maybe I'm missing something about how I could have climbed more efficiently, like how to get shorter rbs to work without bleeding multis?
- My approach for the late stages was to add lsv2 when gtv2 got fast, and after a couple of those the gp gains were in tens of thousands and I could get my stats high enough for a fast 1/1 bh. Before switching to that I extended one rb to I think 15 minutes for higher time multis and bigger togu to more comfortably reach Chronos and Baal. Adding gaav4 was rather trivial along with the bhu creations so why not. Two of those rbs got me to a v5 kill but with worryingly low rb multis, so I increased the numbers to a 2/3 bh and two of those wrapped up the challenge.
- If you were going to spend gp on a chp reset, draining pets or whatever, avoid the flick button to be safe and take care of things before clicking fight on calc. If you wanted the meme token in this challenge, set the finger flick to stop at 10 and keep doing whatever build gets you v2 kills at the fastest rate. Either way the challenge itself is done here.
