  1. CHANGES TO LX RIG
  2.
  3. Having thought more about the get-in on Monday and the equipment we have easy access to, I have decided that it is not realistic to have the rig entirely as originally planned. All the backlight (i.e. the most important part) will stay the same. The two pillars which were originally going to be downstage left and right are going to be removed. Quite simply, we do not have time to source all the cabling, scaffolding etc to make these possible. It would mean relying on more gear which I can't guarantee we will be able to get. If I was down this week, I would have spent the week finding everything but it's not going to be possible on Monday morning with everything else going on.
  4. The good news is the lights on these really weren't used that much and we can swap them out easily for the lights in the house rig. The four bars which acted as audience blinders will now be replaced with the Phoenix's own blinders which are already up in the rig. The only difference between them is the Phoenix blinders are not LED so are a fixed open white colour. (Not a big deal)
  5. There were also going to be some LED parcans acting as sidelight on the pillars. These will be replaced with the overhead LED parcans in the Phoenix. Whilst it's not exactly sidelight, it has a similar effect and also means we don't have to worry about programming those in on the day. This means hardly any of the programming time has been wasted, but frees up a lot of time during the get-in for us to refine everything else.
  6. If we get to it on the day and have a lot of free time and some free lights, we will squeeze them in somewhere, maybe on the booms the Phoenix already has in-house. However, I think it will be best for overall stress levels if we assume we won't get them in.
