Koenigston Girls' Astronautical Academy Brochure

Koenigston Girls’ Astronautical Academy is a uniquely specialized, girls-only secondary school that prepares students for careers in in the astronautical industry. Koenigston Girls’ Astronautical Academy’s International Spacefarer’s Organization (ISO)-certified program developed and expanded with the evolution of the astronautical industry. Students complete both rigorous vocational and academic programs that provide excellent preparation for astronautics-related careers as well as tertiary education.

The program was established in March of 2724 by the family of Fleet Admiral (Ret.) Arrondale Koenigston, the first Confederate Chief of Fleet Operations and hero of the Independence War, and began with the keel-laying of the 15-kilometer long Academy ship, the CSV Admiral Koenigston at the Hannover Shipyard within the Pollux system. The ship was launched in 2728 with an initial class of over 2000 students and 150 instructors. The students, ranging in ages from 14 to 19, were mechanically minded: they built models, worked on-the-job within the academy ship, and followed the exploits of well-known spacers.

As time passed and the post-war Reconstruction moved into full swing, demand for competently trained spacefarers within the Confederacy increased and the program was expanded with the induction of its sibling school, Koenigston Boys’ Astronautical Academy. Courses became more detailed, with the KGAA hiring instructors fully licensed and well versed in astroengineering, astronavigation, and theoretical, applied, and translight physics.

Equipment for these innovative courses was acquired from a variety of sources such as the Ministry of Education, The Confederacy Spacefarers Initiative, and the Confederacy Fleet; all who provided valuable equipment to the school. These organizations supplied the school with accessories, instruments, machinery and even whole ships, making it possible for the school to give practical work in all branches of the spacefaring industry.

Now, after more than 80 years in service of the Confederacy and humanity as a whole, Koenigston Girls’ Astronautical Academy continues to enjoy the privilege of being the premiere secondary-level educational institute in the Confederacy.
