pdflatex: arithmetic: number too big

Check the resolution of the file (in DPI):
$ file iot.jpg
iot.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01, resolution (DPI), density 1x1, segment length 16, progressive, precision 8, 640x360, frames 3

A density of 1 inch per pixel give an image size of 640 by 360 inches. This is way too much for pdflatex.

Use an image editor (such as Gimp) to modify the resolution. 10x10 should do it in this case (do not go above 100 by 100 inches images).
