  1. The Terraria Olympics will be a series of competitions during August (5th - 21st). Different teams will compete, each team will represent a community. Competitions will be split into Open and Live events. This is the general planning pages, feel free to add any suggestions or input. The goal is for the end of this month to have all the events decided, including dates, times and rules. Also to have all the teams decided.

  4.
  5. Teams
  6. -Each team will have any amount of Leaders, who are in charge of organising their team. They can promote the Olympics as much as they want to get players to join, and choose who will be playing for their team in the Live Events. Each team will need a set of vanity (head, shirt and pants + dyes for each) and a flag (painted flag walls in game, 8 blocks by 6).
  7. -At this early stage I do not know which teams there will be exactly, there are 9 teams at the time of writing that will probably play, there are more communities I wish to ask, if you have any good Terraria communities you think would be interested then contact me about them.

  10.
  11. Points System
  12. If a player finishes in the top 16 of an event they will earn their team some points. This is how many points will be earned for each position:
  13.
  14. 16th - 9th: 10 points
  15. 8th - 5th: 15 points
  16. 4th: 25 points
  17. 3rd: 40 points
  18. 2nd: 60 points
  19. 1st: 100 points
  20.
  21. At the end of the Olympics the teams will be ranked by the total amount of points earned. Players will also score their teams bronze/silver/gold medals for finishing 3rd/2nd/1st, these do not count towards rankings.
  22.
  23. ~~~~~
  24.
  25. Open Events
  26. -Anyone at all can enter these competitions, they will sign up via this forum. There they will choose which team they wish to be a part off, so teams can promote to get people to play in the Olympics for their team. Players do not need to choose a team - unassigned players will be spread to teams with less players. These events will generally last a week, allowing a lot of time for anyone to compete.
  27.
  28. Live Events
  29. -Each team will choose one person (or group for team events) to represent them in each event. These events will generally happen in a short period, making it much easier to organise and can be recorded by any team.
  30.
