- Disclaimer: This is a fan-created work set in the Warframe universe, initially submitted to this subreddit. Terms and names including but not limited to: Tenno, Warframe, Orokin, Dax, Corpus, Grineer, and weapon names, are owned by Digital Extremes. The rest is my creative writing.
- It was noon, or so I thought. The Foundry has begun crafting an almost endless supply of the Braton, a firearm I have previously designed.
- The gold trims were cut, and the alloys were simplified, layers were reduced, and ornaments were stripped. All for the sake of cost-efficiency. Undeniably, my colleagues, now Warsmiths by trade, made all the right adjustments. The stripped-down version is still nice to look at, a tad bit nicer in geometries than my first design. The bullets? They applied their Archimedian minds into how these guns fire; they made some "universal" designs, so as to ensure that we will only need to make few bullet models, and those will work across more weapon types.
- Oh, I think you're curious why we made such a decision. Well, as we have anticipated, The Executor who oversees this secret project, "Comma", wanted more designs from us. Of course, we can shape more firearms, more weapons, and more deathly devices for the upcoming war. But we can only work for so long. We're not immortal, like our Golden Lords up above. I began to search the archives - at least the ones we were given access to, by the way - and found a model for a "pistol". Unlike the Braton that can continuously fire bullets while the trigger is held, this "pistol" only fires once per click. While it lacks a continuous fire mechanism, it compensates with its portability. A fine side-arm for the new war-machines.
- As much as I dislike that long-armed executor, I also would like to see this Empire crush our enemies from the Outer Terminus. And I hope that what we are doing here will grant us lasting peace.
- I set my weapon constructor to work. with a blueprint that is designed from that Old Age weapon. Simple, accurate, and portable. Milled with precision cuts, a new weapon was born.
- A trusty side-arm. Fit for soldiers to be sent to a fight that may not end.
- This model was sent to The Executor. Was returned without no critique. Only a command.
- "Pursue art in weapon-making. Continue this masterpiece."
- And so I sent it to my team. The deconstruction took almost no time. The trims were cut, edges cleaned. and the aesthetics remade with new materials. All for mass-production.
- The first assembled of it? I took it into my care and hid it.
- For the time to act is coming.
