  1. CMoA: Creeping Distress
  2.
  3. Cheryl finally going back to her old self, and giving a call-back as she goes to beat the crap out of Ignis.
  4.
  5.
  6. Jul 27, 2011, 5:43am, Adri wrote:
  7. Despite the threats the soldier gave, Ignis completely ignored Azumi as he looked around at what the world had become. A wide grin was plastered on his face as he breathed in the air of this nightmarish realm, inhaling the scent of burning, death, and despair. It may have been Hell for anyone else, but for him, it was perfect. His red eye, still revealed, was glowing brightly, the dark energies of this dimension surging power into him.
  8.
  9. "You truly have a gift, Mother Alessa." He referred to the young woman to her final alias, of who she really was. "To have this world locked within your heart...to have the power to unleash it in full force. How can you not appreciate this power in all its splendor?"
  10.
  11. Cheryl couldn't find it in her to respond, to the shouts of the two females, or to the evil man's rambling. She was still in shock, in pain, in absolute horror. This world, after keeping it held in as much as she could...she had now lost her grasp on it and unleashed it once more. This...this couldn't be happening. She didn't want to see this realm again, not ever. But now, it was unavoidable.
  12.
  13. "Do it......bring our God back......."
  14.
  15. Valtiel...she could see him below the grated ground. With all those pipes, two bodies hung and covered in thin, red veils. And the angel himself, turning the crank of the valve, working the nozzle...changing the flow of the world...
  16.
  17. She couldn't handle it anymore. She wanted it all to end...all of her pain, all of her misery...
  18.
  19. ...was what she would have thought not five minutes ago. But now...now she realized how ridiculous this was. How she had fallen apart so easily. No, this wasn't like her at all. She was not a scared little girl wanting to hide from her fears, her problems. No...she was a woman capable of facing them head on, just like she had done four years ago. She wasn't about to let this smug, sick, twisted freak bring her down this easily, no matter what lies he showed her.
  20.
  21. Slowly, her hands lowered to her sides. Then, she reached for the next holster on her belt, the one that held her switchblade knife. Slowly taking it out, finally, Cheryl Mason looked up with a sharp, vengeful glare.
  22.
  23. "Shut your stinking mouth, bastard!"
  24.
  25. Now this caught Ignis' attention full on. He whipped around...just in time for the woman to lunge at him, prepared to stab him with that knife. The Nightmare Illusionist barely dodged, only for her to whip around and slash across his chest. He cringed; he couldn't move fast enough as she slashed at him again. And again, again...
  26.
  27. The Silent Hill 3 protagonist was back in action.
  28.
  29.
  30. Also when Ignis flashed an illusion on all of them, and Cheryl ignored the pain from it, just so she could kill him.
  31.
  32. And Cheryl coming in to intervene.
  33.
  34.

  36. As the threads tossed Sonya away, Dani grit her teeth and slowly stood to her feet, her arms over her abdomen as blood began to pour from the wound. She looked up towards the couple, saw the pink mist surrounding them. The woman snarled, her eyes turning reptilian once more, her teeth turning sharp, and scales appearing around her neck. Whatever that girl was doing, she would never allow it.
  37.
  38. "Stay...away...from MY SORIN!!!"
  39.
  40. At the final cry, more threads of darkness had appeared, aiming to impale her ex-vessel on the spot. Though Bonfire was about to step in to protect, the same threads that grabbed Sonya had also snaked in to stop her from intervening.
  41.
  42. Neither would make it. Before any of the threads could meet their targets, seven shots rang out. The first three pierced the tendrils aimed for Audrey, while the rest went for what was after the Heartless Arcanine. They almost seemed to shriek and then shrunk back into the ground. Dani grunted in both surprise and anger, looking up to where the shots had come from. "How dare you try to interfere!? Step out this instant!"
  43.
  44. "Hehe...interfere...isn't that what we do on a daily basis?" Cheryl Mason had finally stepped out then, her gun aimed at Dani with a smirk on her face. Said smirk was wiped off in an instant, turning into a glare at the woman. "I'm not running away anymore. Not after everything you did, including what happened here four years ago..."
  45.
  46.
  47. CMoA: Why is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?
  48.
  49. Kalas going to show why you shouldn't underestimate his willpower.
  50.

  53. Kalas felt the urge to smack the woman for insulting his dog, but did all he could to hold it in. She had not caught him yet, so he needed to continue acting the part until the time was right. Sure enough, Dani had now approached him, lowering herself to his level (he had to keep his eyes away from her chest, as even he couldn't resist the gaze). Again she placed her hand on his face; he kept his head lowered in spite of that, not wanting her to catch his eyes yet.
  54.
  55. "And you..." she began, once again carressing the side of his face. "At first I questioned why my friend would want such a dirty ruffian. But looking at you now, I think I can see why. Such a shame that I promised him to hand you over personally; I know now that I would have so much fun with you. But, as it is, you shall forever be a personal slave to Ignis Fatuus."
  56.
  57. Hearing her words made the Divine Child sick to his stomach. Despite how beautiful this woman was, there was no way in hell he would let her do what she wanted with him, controlled or no. And like he said before, he will never go with that damn bastard again, not after what he did. However, with how close she was now...now seemed to be the perfect time to throw her off...
  58.
  59. "Yes...I shall forever serve...Ignis Fatuus..." he continued his monotonous act; even his own words made him sick. But now he didn't have to continue; he finally allowed himself to glance at the woman's face, giving a slight smirk.
  60.
  61. "But I'd have to be dead first."
  62.
  63. Right that instant, the confidence in Dani's eyes were washed away. She grunted, obviously shocked to find that the winged boy was not in her control. But before she could do anything, several oversized cards had flown out into the open and cut past her, which made her give out a small cry of pain.
  64.
  65.
  66. CMoA and CMoH: The White Hand
  67.
  68. Kalas pulling a Magnus Power Burst, a skill from Baten Kaitos Origins, to finish off a horde of the Uruk-Hai. The CMoH is when he goes out of his way to rescue Spencer, despite his dislike for the Blood Mage.
  69.
  70.
  71. Quote:
  72. It was after this that the burst had died down completely. Kalas had limped over, worn out after pulling that stunt; he really felt it was worth it in the end. He looked up, grinning almost madly, about to yell to the Blood Mage that he had just outdone him in kills. However, the minute he looked in his direction, the explosion rang out all of a sudden. Kalas held his hands over him, both covering his eyes when everything went bright, and taking cover from the debris that came his way. He lowered them not a second later, and saw the sudden damage done to the wall. He would have made a comment on that...had he not also caught Spencer being blown over and falling to the army below.
  73.
  74. An adrenalin rush immediately washed over in place of his weariness. He might not have gotten along with Spencer for all the time they spent on this world, but Kalas was not about to let anyone die in this fight. With just one boost of his single Wing of the Heart and his grandfather's winglet, the blue-haired Interference flew straight for the Blood Mage, diving down right after him. Just before the boy would be caught and most likely torn apart by the Uruk-Hai, Kalas had grabbed him by the ankle, catching him just inches away from a possible demise.
  75.
  76. "You owe me for this, pipsqueak," Kalas told him as he flew back up to the wall, dropping the Blood Mage the minute reached it. He then gave a smirk and told him last, "Also, I just got fifteen of those things."
  77.
  78. Spencer pinwheeled with his arms as he fell through the air, almost dropping his staff as he quickly descended to the ravenous army below, when he suddenly stopped. Looking up, he saw Kalas gripping his ankle and carrying him back to the wall. The Blood Mage had been about to say something when Kalas dropped him, but sputtered when he told his count.
  79.
  80. "Fifteen?! Looks like I'll have to try a bit harder!" He stood up, gripping his staff tightly, before looking back at the winged-boy. "And... thanks, Blue-" He corrected himself, just this once. "Kalas."
  81.
  82. Kalas only gave another smirk when Spencer gave his thanks, as well as finally correcting himself on his name. "No prob, Spence."
  83.
  84.
  85. CMoF: The White Hand
  86.
  87. Kalas finding his way around losing to Spencer instead of admitting defeat.

  91. Before he could receive a response from her, probably the typical 'I knew you'd make it through' despite her worries, along came Spencer with his announcing his own count, and that damn nickname again. Once again, his eye twitched; it bugged him enough when Lyude mocked his hair (to which he retorted back with the soldier's effeminate appearance), but from this kid...
  92.
  93. 'Kalas, please don't get into this. It's silly enough.'
  94.
  95. Kalas just sighed again, calming himself slightly. He turned, about to give his own kill count, which was only 48, one off behind the Blood Mage, and admit defeat. However, right then, Lucifer came trotting up, an Orc's arm in his mouth. When the blue-haired hero caught this, he immediately pulled the arm out of the Mauthe Doog's mouth and held it up to show off.
  96.
  97. "Forty-nine as well," Kalas said, giving another smirk. "Looks like it's a tie, runt."
  98.
  99. If Lucifer could, he would have palmed his face, like Xelha was doing from all the way back in their world.

  101. --
  102.
  103.
  104. Holy crap, this hasn't been used since last Summer? Well, time for revival then.
  105.
  106. CMoA: Yesterday
  107.
  108. I feel Akyra's finishing off of Dani counts.
  109.
  110.
  111. Quote:
  112. Dani could only watch in shock as the dragon of flames came at her, not doing anything to avoid it. The dragon hit, and the serpent/centipede-like monster roared out. Some of the flames even hit the threads, burning them away.
  113.
  114. From a few feet away, a large glob of Darkness began to rise. Once it emerged, the glob then broke into many tendrils, to which all had been attached to the wrists of a girl that looked exactly like Audrey, except for the different outfit, blue eyes, and blue highlights in her hair. Akyra had been awakened, and she did not look happy. At all.
  115.
  116. "Sorin's right about that," Akyra said as she glared at Dani's form. "You actually thought you could get away with keeping me out and taking control of things while Audrey runs off with that winged b*****d, huh? Well guess what, Dani...YOU'RE F***ING WRONG!!!"
  117.
  118. It was then that all of the tendrils grabbed on to each of Dani's arms and legs. In just one tug, all the limbs were torn from the body, more blood spilling out. Dani shrieked even louder and her limbless body fell to the ground.
  119.
  120. There was a flash of light, and soon the area changed back to the ominous Station. Dani was no longer a monster and was back into her "human" form. The woman slowly stood and stared at Akyra, who still glowered at her.
  121.
  122. "I only wanted what was best for Audrey," Dani said, as though she was trying to defend herself. "I thought that if I could change her, then she'll be able to restrain herself more."
  123.
  124. "Yeah, sure," Akyra spat. "You just didn't wanna do your job as a restraint. You're better off doing that than making that b***h go through all that crap. And for that, I'm gonna hafta silence you for a while."
  125.
  126. Dani said nothing, until she sighed and lowered her head. "I guess there is no way to talk myself out of this. Very well...I shall take my punishment..."
  127.
  128. Akyra smirked as a light shone over Dani. The woman could only glance up to see a long glass shard falling towards her. As if expecting this, she held her arms above her to the shard, waiting for it to come down to her.
  129.
  130. Not a moment too soon, the shard impaled Dani through the chest, pinning her to the platform. Though she wasn't killed, she still let her body fall limp. Minus the cry of agony and the smile, she had repeated the scene of Daniella's death.
  131.
  132.
  133. CMoA and CMoH: Shadows Within Us
  134.
  135. Audrey standing up to the Shadows.
  136.
  137.
  138. Quote:
  139. Sorin took a step closer to Audrey as he scowled at the two Shadows.
  140.
  141. However this just caused his Shadow to laugh mockingly yet again. "Even after all this trying to prove you're a good boyfriend by trying to protect her."
  142.
  143. Sorin flinched and looked at the ground. Even if he didn't like it, some of the things the Shadow said were true. He was always worried about being a good boyfriend for Audrey yet he never really knew what to say to her. He just repeats the same things over and over.
  144.
  145. "Don't listen to it, Sorin," Audrey said, keeping her eyes on the Shadows. "I don't care if you try; you're the best boyfriend I could ever ask for."
  146.
  147. "LIAR!" her Shadow screeched. "You don't care about him! You never did! You don't need him!"
  148.
  149. But Audrey just glared back at the Harpy. "Shut up! I know I always think about myself most of the time; that doesn't mean I don't care about Sorin! I love him more than anything else in the world! I don't need you breaking me down again!"
  150.
  151. Sorin looked back at Audrey and his eyes widened. The Solar Samurai smirked slightly and stood tall. "You're right. Even if I struggle for the right thing to tell you Audrey, I always care about you and love you. Even if I can't find the right words as long as I show that it doesn't matter."
  152.
  153.
  154. CMoA: Swan Song
  155.
  156. Another Akyra one: her backtalking the Jealousy Abomination she was up against.
  157.
  158.
  159. Quote:
  160. Akyra continued to remain airborne, flying away from whatever Jealousy sent at her. The Abomination seemed to be growing frustrated, both with her dodging and the fact that she wouldn't fall to his influence.
  161.
  162. "Why don't you come down here and actually fight?!" he yelled to her. "Your fellow counterpart would have done something like that!"
  163.
  164. Akyra smirked. It felt good to have the upper hand in this fight. "You know, the fact you're still comparing me to that wh*** is amusing. She wouldn't do a damn thing even if she wanted. And for the record, the last time you mentioned? She ended up a whimpering little girl. Yeah, I would have done something to help out...if she didn't hold me back the entire time, that is. And I've done enough to help Audrey as it is, more than Dani could ever do. So all in all, your point falls short.
  165.
  166. "And by the way? All this time, I've been powering up a little attack here. You really could have taken the time to stop me instead of trying to bring me down, don't you think?"
  167.
  168. Before he could say anything else, the counterpart waved her arm, coated in darkness, straight out at him. A wave of darkness homed in on the Abomination, moving at impossible speeds. He didn't have enough time; the wave sliced through him, splitting him in two.
  169.
  170. However, Akyra knew this wasn't done. She descended to the ground, standing at the ready. Just as she thought, the two halves merged back together right away, Jealousy smirking at her.
  171.
  172. "Is that really all?"
  173.
  174. "No, but you have to admit that was awesome."
  175.
  176.
  177. And finally...
  178.
  179. CMoA: Hailstorm
  180.
  181. Kalas rebounding Ignis' illusion back at him. This is one of many moments of awesome to come for him.
  182.
  183.
  184. Quote:
  185. Kalas didn't look away at all when it happened. But despite the horrors around him...the scenery changing to a dead land, the mangled bodies grabbing for him, hell even hearing that damn siren again...he still stood confidently. He didn't flinch, didn't scream in panic...he did nothing to show any fear. The illusionist's grin turned into a frown, all traces of amusement gone instantly. Was this raven planning something?
  186.
  187. He then saw Kalas bring his hand up, finding one of those Magnus cards in his grip. "What are you doing?"
  188.
  189. The dark-winged protagonist kept his grin. "If you're gonna fall back into the oldest tricks in the book, then so am I!"
  190.
  191. The card then materialized. What he held up now...was a mirror. The Ocean Mirror. It no longer had the power it used to since the day he saved his world...but that was not the case. Ignis Fatuus did a take, his eyes snapping wide open. Not since the day Stephan Shepherds rejected him out had the dark fire-using illusionist ever been so terrified. He didn't even think the crow...hell, he didn't think anyone would ever pull a trick like this!
  192.
  193. "No!"
  194.
  195. He tried to lift the illusion...but it was too late. It had rebounded right back at him. In an instant, he screamed and fell to the ground. He was no longer on the beach, but instead a dark abyss. Hands, so many hands, grabbing him, pulling him at all sides. He struggled and squirmed against them, yelling in panic the entire time.
  196.
  197. And then, a familiar female voice.
  198.
  199. "Igniiiiiis....welcome to heeeeeeell...."
  200.
  201. "NO! PLEASE, RELEASE ME! I'LL DO ANYTHING!"
  202.
  203. In reality, Ignis looked like a screaming madman. Much like the others who fell to his illusions...now he was experiencing what they had. He was living his own nightmare.
  204.
  205. Kalas stood over him, the mirror returned to its card state. He looked with a victorious smirk down at the hysterical man. "Hope you like a taste of your medicine, bastard..."
