  3. It's me again, diary.
  4. Today is only my 21st birthday, but why does it feel like I've been alive for much longer? Every morning that I wake up...I get this off-putting feeling like I've been down this road before. It's so weird. Maybe my imagination is just running rampant, but the strangest things have been happening ever since we moved to this City. I'm beginning to feel like I'm losing my mind, but I can't be so sure. I've been watching one too many horror movies, I suppose. Anyway, a group of my friends are taking me out to The Carousel Bar & Lounge for drinks tonight. We get to wear costumes and I am so stoked! Who knew that being a Halloween baby could be so exciting. I wish that my sister would tag along, but Carter has already talked her into going out to dinner with him. Well, there's always next year I guess. This is where I'm going to end things. The girls should be here any minute now and I need to make sure that I look as good as possible.

  8. Anastastia flipped the hardcover of her diary shut, allowing slender digits and her crimson manicure to curl around its spine. Sliding the book onto the nightstand beside her, the brunette stood to her feet and walked over to the vanity in front of her. It was simple, but made just for her. Crafted from manufactured wood, the piece sported a sky blue finish that was versatile enough to complement any color palette. The lighted mirror that embellished it was absolutely beautiful. Staring into the reflecting surface, Anastasia straightened out the stray strands of her hair, tucking them back into place. "You look beautiful, honey. It reminds me of myself when I was younger." A voice spoke out from the doorway. Inhaling slowly, Anastasia turned on the heels of her wine red stiletto boots. The corners of her lips curled into a content smile the moment she witnessed her mother glancing back at her. "You were young before? I had no idea. I thought you always aged like a dry prune. " She said, teasing the woman. A hearty round of laughter escaped from pink lips while Angela sauntered into the room to take a closer look at her daughter. Slender digits slipped onto the younger woman's back, rubbing affectionately against the ensemble.
