mc asks dad why are they sitting down and how there's nothing to eat. dad goes how he has to go to work and he will eat later. mc asks dad if he isn't wondering why he is injured and dad goes how he isn't curious to know and some philosophical shit how that wounds will follow him in life, and smth about if mc or him or even fmc can overcome that wound in life(notsure). mc then tells dad how he too will leave the house. dad asks if it's because of fmc and mc then goes how it doesn't matter but how he wants to live without expectations from anybody. dad then tells him not to think twice about returning here. mc tells him he wont come back here again.

5 months later. some old guy tells mc work instructions and not to take too much and that. mc goes yeah and the old guy commends him on a well done job for a newbie and that. old guy goes how he wants mc on his team and asks the 'lady' next to him what she thinks about it, but she goes 'whatever' and tells him not to act friendly to her just cause they work together. old guy is all 'okay okay' and tells her they'll have a drink session or smth after work to strengthen the bond of the team. the other guy kinda goes that if old guy pays, he's down for it and mc goes how he likes it. old guys asks red if she's coming and she goes yeah, sure.

drink place and toasts, complains about hard work and that. old guy asks mc why he doesn't drink. mc goes how he never drank soju before and red tells him not to cause it sucks. old guy goes how he prbly had a good life where he lived so how come he ended up in this situation. the other guy agrees and goes how this is prbly for pocket money or as a punishment. mc denies it, drinks and goes how he's a real man living by himself. prbly goes how he's no wimp and asks for more soju. other guy asks if he said smth wrong there and old guy tells him that me might have. red wonders where she saw mc and how he looks familiar to her.

drinks over and calls for them to stop. shit how old guy is weak at drinking and red tells mc to sober up. other guy tells red he will deal with old guy so she should deal with mc. red protests cause she cant do that and doesn't even know where mc lives. other guy then tells her to take him to a motel or that and how it's on her and leaves red protesting.

red bitches about how hard was to carry him back and how she cant spend her hard worked cash on motel fees and how mc doesn't look like he can pay up either. thinks how she's seen his face somewhere, but goes 'whatever' and how this has nothing to do with her and to wash up and go to sleep. she thinks of mc's dad/seong ho when she sees the dress. tells herself to 'wake up' and how that's all over now. to forget everything and start anew again.

mc wakes up wondering where he is and bitches about his head. remembers how he drank yesterday. blushes and goes 'st...step mother?'. tbc...
