  1. Since our tenancy agreement doesn't expire until 31/10/2017, I am requesting again that you allow us access to the property to allow us to arrange our own cleaning.
  2.
  3. As far as I am aware, we are well within our rights to continue making use of the property until the tenancy ends. If you disagree, then please refer me to whatever relevant law or clause in our tenancy agreement would make clear why that is not the case, as I cannot find one.
  4.
  5. I apologise again for the current state of the flat, but I feel you are being extraordinarily unfair in refusing to let us back in to make improvements while we still have a legal right to use the property.
  6.
  7. To be clear, I absolutely refuse to agree to any deductions for cleaning unless you, a) let us reenter the flat to arrange work ourselves, with check out on or after 31/10/2017 and reassess your costs afterwards or, b) refund the rent paid between 16/10/2017 and 31/10/2017, the period during which you denied us use of the property, after which I will happily agree to have the quoted £250 deducted from the deposit.
  8.
  9. If neither option is amenable, I welcome whatever options you may have in mind that allow us to resolve this amicably. I feel the only other alternative is to raise a dispute with TDS and seek legal counsel and I would strongly prefer to avoid that.
  10.
  11. If I have misunderstood my rights, I would welcome an explanation of how and reference to the relevant documentation.
