**Special Containment Procedures:**



**Description:** SCP-#### is a grove of //Populus tremula// (European Aspen) located near ████████, France spanning seventeen acres and containing roughly 12,000 trunks. SCP-#### does not exhibit unusual behavior. SCP-#### is devoid of native animal life.

Any form of sensory observation of SCP-#### is cognitohazardous, with the greatest risks associated with close inspection of any part of SCP-#### or entering SCP-####. Typical symptoms involve hallucinations, feelings of paranoia, and inability to properly judge size, distance, and time. Attached is D-82116's description of a test in which a small branch taken from SCP-#### was struck against a table repeatedly:

> They put cloth over my eyes and had me sit in a chair while they did the test. I don't know what they were using, but they hit it against the table and it was so quiet and far away that I jumped up in my seat. The second time I wasn't so surprised, but I still had to hold on tight because it shook the ground so much that I felt like I was falling in. It was an hour before they hit the table again and because I was moving away really quick they had to hit it all around me to make sure it was loud enough, I think. The last time it was really loud and even though I know that it can't happen, I think they hit it inside me because the sound came from inside me, and then they told me to take the cloth off and I was fine.

> I know this doesn't make sense but it didn't make sense to me either and that's what I remember.

During the early stages of research into SCP-####, Junior Researcher ███████ Bruckbauer observed a prepared slide of leaf tissue from SCP-#### through a microscope at 10x magnification. JR Bruckbauer is reported to have almost immediately become unconscious and fallen out of his chair, suffering minor injuries in the process. JR Bruckbauer recovered within a day and provided the following testimony:

> After I prepared the slide and zoomed in to the right amount, I adjusted the dial to zoom in right, but once I focused in, the picture didn't stop getting sharper.

No reliable firsthand accounts of SCP-####'s nature more than thirty meters into the grove exist, as no personnel who have been brought past this point have been been mentally sound enough to provide reliable information. The most coherent account of SCP-####'s interior, coming from Agent ████ Waverly, is available to personnel with Level 3 clearance.

A variety of miscellaneous anomalous phenomena have been associated with SCP-#### have occurred at its containment site.

Due to its relative remoteness and the general unwillingness of local populations to approach SCP-####, little information about SCP-####'s behavior outside of containment exists.
