  1. Kamijou grabbed it and used it to cut his own clothing. He grabbed the portion of
  2. his sleeve he had cut off.
  3. He threw it.
  4. The speed did not matter.
  5. What mattered was accurate control.
  6. He only tossed the scrap of cloth with the strength of someone jokingly tossing an eraser
  7. and it was not headed for Marian Slingeneyer.
  8. It was headed for the scabbard of the magic sword.
  9. More accurately, it was headed for the clear sphere that had expanded out from the
  10. bottom of it.
  11. The Imagine Breaker countermeasure Marian had prepared was a purely physical
  12. phenomenon. That way the large swords created from gravity could sever Kamijou’s right
  13. hand that only activated in the face of supernatural powers.
  14. In other words, the large swords were purely physical phenomena and therefore the
  15. magician Marian Slingeneyer herself could not completely control that ultimate weapon.
  16. After all, she could only control magic.
  17. By controlling the size of the balloon and the location of the opening, she controlled the
  18. size, force, and direction of the giant swords, but that was all she could control. She
  19. controlled the hole, so she could not completely distort the direction taken by the particles
  20. emitted from the hole by gravity.
  21. In that case, what would happen if her control of that hole was interfered with?
  22. It was not an issue of strength. If the hole was only lightly covered, the shape of the
  23. opening would change.
  24. If Marian activated a gray sword in that state, it would change like putting a showerhead
  25. on a faucet.
  26. In other words, the overwhelming sword that was produced would not be able to hold its
  27. form and would cause devastation against Marian’s wishes.
  28. “…Ah?”
  29. In that instant when Marian Slingeneyer was sure of her victory, she looked toward the
  30. magic sword’s scabbard in confusion.
  31. That may have been her mistake. If she had time to do that, she may have been better off
  32. deactivating the clear sphere.
  33. It ended up being more like holding your thumb over the opening of a hose.
  34. The mass of particles like dust and dirt had lost their normal path out and were forced out
  35. through the multiple gaps around the edges.
  36. An explosion.
  37. That word expressed it best.
  38. With an explosive noise, Marian Slingeneyer’s short body was blown back a few meters
  39. before landing.
