  1. >You’re Anon and waiting for a certain sharkpony to show up any time now
  2. >”Anon!”
  3. >Speak of the fishy devil, Ocean Dew once again barges into your house
  4. >”Last time things kind of got interrupted, so today, once and for all...”
  5. >her voice trails off as you lift up a hand while swallowing down the small amounts of spaghetti that are trying to slither out from your pockets
  6. “Dew, what is this?”
  7. >Ocean Dew stares at you with a confused look plastered all over her face
  8. >...What is what?”
  9. >You move your hand around awkwardly as you avoid her eyes or a brief moment
  10. “This, this whole...thing, coming over, revenge, this”
  11. >Ocean Dew stomps her hoof against the floor while looking like she’s rearing to go
  12. >But there’s also a strange blush on her face like she was just a hint embarrassed
  13. >”I need to get back at you for-”
  14. >You interrupt her once again
  15. “Because if that’s all that’s happening here I want it to stop”
  16. >Extreme, but you want to be sure, and if Pacific Dew is right you just want to start befriending her without this...thing
  17. >Ocean Dew opens her mouth but then just stares at you for a brief moment, her eyes switching rapidly between slits and normal pupils
  18. >”I just...want to get back at you”
  19. >She stares at you with her expression unchanging, but her ears are now lying flat against her head
  20. >You hang your head
  21. “Then I’d like if you would stop barging in like this”
  22. >Ocean Dew simply turns around and starts to slowly walk towards your door
  23. >Damn, you got your hopes up when Paz said those things, you should have known no pony would really want to befriend you
  24. >You just really wanted for your story to begin for once, hearing how well other Anons are doing with their own circle of pony friends is just painful
  25. >And you feel so envious
  26. >”Anon I-”
  27. >You lift your head up and find Ocean Dew sitting on your floor and rubbing her hoof while avoiding looking directly at you
  28. >The-“
  29. >She tries to say something but her blush deepens, but then she snarls in annoyance before looking extremely unsure of herself
  30. >You...you have no idea what’s happening
  31. >”AAARRRG! It was all a lie!”
  32. >Ocean Dew blushes crimson
  33. >”I just did that so I had an excuse to come over!”
  34. >You stare at Ocean Dew in surprise, relief and shock
  35. >Honestly you feel really happy but still surprised
  36. “Why?”
  37. >Ocean Dew’s ears droop down
  38. >”I just...I wanted to spend time near you so we could...”
  39. >Her voice trails off as her blush reaches maximum redness
  40. >”Maybe become friends...”
  41. >Wow, Paz was right after all, this is, it’s great!
  42. “Why didn’t you just you know, say that in the first place instead of-“
  43. >You get interrupted by the very embarrassed looking Ocean Dew
  44. >”It just felt awkward and I’m just not so good at making new friends...”
  45. >Ocean Dew now glares at you while blushing
  46. >”S-so do you want to be my friend or not!?”
  47. >Her tone of voice comes off as hostile, but even you can see it’s because she’s feeling nervous
  48. >She’s trying to put on a brave front though, the best she can, even if she appears like she’s just dying to run away form the situation
  49. >Even you feel awkward for her, but
  50. “Yes I do”
  51. >Some of the nervousness seems to lift itself from her
  52. >”Good! Fine!”
  53. >Ocean Dew glares at you for a little bit more but then averts her face from yours once again by turning around so you can’t see her face
  54. >”Just so you know the fishing hook really hurt.”
  55. >You don’t respond anything for a while
  56. >Ocean Dew glances at you from behind her shoulder, before letting out a growl and turning around to face you, but then says nothing and sits back down again while looking away from you
  57. >You scratch the back of your head
  58. ”So what do we do now?”
  59. >Ocean Dew scratches her chin with her hoof while appearing deep in thought
  60. >”I...guess we should get to know one another better? I was kind of hoping it would happen accidentally if I came over enough times...”
  61. >You let out a little laugh at that which makes Ocean Dew feel self conscious as she glares at you
  62. >”What, it was the best plan I had!”
  63. >But you do have something you can ask her right away, something Paz mentioned yesterday
  64. “Paz told me you have a job, what do you do for a living?”
  65. >Ocean Dew tilts her head
  66. >”Paz was here?”
  67. >Now it’s your turn to look surprised
  68. “She didn’t tell you?”
  69. >Ocean Dew shakes her head
  70. >”What did she want anyway?”
  71. >You sit down on a chair and shrug
  72. “Just wanted to make sure her sister was not hanging around with someone weird”
  73. >Ocean Dew seems a bit surprised at that
  74. >”She must have found you pretty weird”
  75. “How so?”
  76. >”You look kind of...weird”
  77. >Funny coming from a pony that looks like a shark swam up her anus but you stay silent and Ocean Dew answers your question
  78. >”I help collect clams and mollusks”
  79. >Ocean Dew walks to you and sits down on the chair next to yours
  80. >And then the two of you stare at one another in silence for a brief moment, until Ocean Dew’s ears droop down briefly before springing back up again
  81. >”What about you, do you have a job?”
  82. >You nod
  83. “Yeah, I take measurements of...something, and send the results by mail weekly”
  84. >Ocean Dew seems surprised
  85. >“That easy?”
  86. “Yeah. What about yours, is it hard work?”
  87. >Ocean Dew shakes her head
  88. >”Nah, I breeze trough it, the coastline’s full of those critters”
  89. >And then the two of you stare at one another for a brief moment before looking away from each other
  90. >Maybe you should dig out something to drink?
  91. “Hey Ocean Dew, do you want something to drink?”
  92. >Her nod is all you need and you dig up a few cans of
  93. >”Mountain Dew?”
  94. >Ocean Dew eyes the can and then looks at you
  95. “It’s good, you just need to open it-maybe I should, you kind of need fing-“
  96. >As you say that Ocean Dew somehow takes hold of the tab and opens the can
  97. >”I know what a can is, what are you, from some other world?”
  98. >You smirk just a bit but stay silent, and wonder how those hooves even work, it defies logic
  99. >Ocean Dews eyes go wide after her first gulp and she then just stares at the can in her hooves with wide eyes
  100. “So the Dew did you instead of you doing the Dew”
  101. >The still baffled Ocean Dew just looks at you with confusion
  102. >”Wha? But anyway Anon this is really good!”
  103. >Ocean Dew happily gulps down the rest of the Dew and burps a big, manly burp afterwards
  104. >And then she surprises you by slamming the can flat with her hoof
  105. >Ocean Dew then extends her hoof at you
  106. >”Gimme another one”
  107. >You dig her up another can which she happily accepts and opens
  108. >As she takes another sip she takes notice of you staring at her
  109. >”W-what? It’s good...”
  110. >Ocean Dew pulls the can closer to her face and turns so that you no longer can directly stare at her face
  111. >”I’m sorry if this is kind of hard, you must have a lot of friends who’re better at conversations than I am...”
  112. >You shake your head, though it serves no purpose since she’s not looking at you, instead admiring the random objects hung on the walls
  113. “No, you would be my first ever pony friend”
  114. >Now she turns to face you and looks at you with surprise
  115. >”Really? Even I have friends back at my home village.”
  116. >Now she looks a little bit concerned
  117. >”Have you ever had a friend?”
  118. >Now it’s your turn to blush
  119. “Well I had a few friend-ish people, and I had many online”
  120. >Ocean Dew tilts her head
  121. >”Why would you keep them on a line?”
  122. >You fee like facepalming
  123. “No, it’s-it’s a human thing, means we just wrote each other letters but never met in person”
  124. >”Oh...”
  125. >She’s still looking at you with worry, but then she hops off the chair and walks to you
  126. >She looks you up and down before placing a hoof on your thigh and petting it gently
  127. >”There there”
  128. >You just stare at the as she blushes and looks away with her now slit pupilled eyes
  129. “Umm...why are you rubbing my leg, are you trying to come onto me?”
  130. >Ocean’s face goes bright red and she stops petting you and hops back
  131. >”W-what!? No I’m just trying to console you, you know, like friends do...”
  132. >Now you feel embarrassed too as Ocean Dew starts muttering something under her breath
  133. >”Why would I even...”
  134. >Ocean Dew returns to her seat and chomps down on the can before downing all of it
  135. >As she places it back on the table your spaghetti retracts back into your pockets as you notice the holes and dents on the can
  136. >Just how strong are these sharkponies at biting?
  137. “Well no need to console me, I mean I’m doing good, it’s not like it bums me down”
  138. >That was a bit of a lie but who’s counting
  139. >”So what exactly did you two do when Paz was here?”
  140. >You set the can down before answering her
  141. “Well at first she just came over and started watching TV, and I fed her some bacon”
  142. >Ocean Dew’s eyes go slit mode briefly at the mention of bacon but otherwise she just says silent and listens
  143. “Then I showed her around the house and she took a swim in the pool, and then she went home”
  144. >You decide to leave out touching her gills, you’re still uncertain if it is a no-touch zone on these things
  145. >”Why do you not like swimming in the ocean?”
  146. >You shudder
  147. “It’s cold, and icky and feels so bad when something touches you underwater”
  148. >Ocean Dew tilts her head
  149. >”What, it’s nothing like that”
  150. >You shake your head
  151. “Just don’t like it”
  152. >Ocean Dew snorts
  153. >”You’ll need to come swimming with me and I’ll proof you wrong”
  154. >Then the excitement disappears from her face and gets replaced by a slight blush with flat ears
  155. >”If you wanna swim with me...”
  156. >Something about it just seems so cute you just have to say yes
  157. “Yeah I think it could be fun, but let’s do it in the pool”
  158. >Ocean Dew shakes her head
  159. >”Ocean or nothing”
  160. >You let out a sigh
  161. “Fine I think I can-“
  162. >Ocean Dew hops off her chair while grinning happily
  163. >”Good, I’ll pick you up tomorro-do you have any plans tomorrow?”
  164. >You shake your head
  165. >”Tomorrow at 12. Got to go now, bye!”
  166. >And you manage to only say bye before Ocean Dew has ran out from the door, knocking something over again with her tail in the process
  167. >But then suddenly her voice calls out form somewhere outside
  168. >”It’s not because I don’t want to be around you or anything, I just promised to do something!”
  169. >And she’s gone. Well, you have yet to swim once in the private beach you have so maybe it won’t be that bad? You’ll know tomorrow
