- [00:12] Brock says, "Nice hat my guy."
- [00:13] Nemaniti says, "Oh."
- [00:13] Nemaniti casually shifted down on the opposite side of Brock's head.
- (Nemaniti)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:14] Brock casually, oh so casually, flicked their dreadlocks out of the way.
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:14] The rattling of chains filled the air around the man in the hat with a blue brim, and around him the lifestream seemed to scream out in pain. Miniture rifts open, barely paid attention to as he ame to a nearby chair and sat in it. The pair of mismatched eyes looked towards the stranger, giving her a nod.
- "It's real nice. Ya smell like smoke."
- (Sors Ultovex)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:16] Nemaniti says, "Aaaaa."
- [00:17] Flashed a very wide smile at the complement. They'd not even blink as the life-stream was twisted like a pretzel by the man. They'd tilt an ear towards the whispers, waiting for a few moments to hear what they where saying.
- Alas they found no wisdom in there. So, they'd just shrug. Leveling their dull brown hues upon the riftmancer.
- "Thank you, I do try. You'd be amazed how hard it is to keep the smell of fire but not have the flames." They'd lean just a little towards Sors, bringing a hand up to whisper conspiratorially. "The secret is my shadow's actually fire."
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:20] The whispers would be nonsensical, but the occasional ones that made sense were all focused on murder, entertainment, betrayal, and bloodshead. None of it seemed to be much to help a sane person.
- "Ya entire shadow is fire? Tha's real smart. Lucky the chair ain't burnin' under ya. Shows good control."
- "Lord Ultovex. Ya?"
- (Sors Ultovex)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:25] The woman twirled their finger, a little ring of fire following the motion. Their expression had actually started to glow a bit as the conversation shifted to fire.
- "Oh yes, name's Brock. I deal in fire and fire related products." They'd lazily lean back after saying that, floating in the gravity.
- "Oh? The Lord Ultovex, you've got some reputation. I'm in awe meeting such an accomplished Occultist." Though they said that, it might be obvious they where more happy about the compliments for their fire.
- "I'll have to than Phyre, this place has tones of entertaining people."
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:29] His eyes do not follow the fire, instead a single blue optical sitting on top of his staff following the little ring. Slowly he nodded his head.
- "Brock. Noted. Where ya from?" A wooden stick rose, pushing the fire and stoking it ever so slightly, then dropping in it when he recalled he was next to a fire mage.
- "Ya could say tha'. Phyre is one o' the resisdents, ya. Are ya also plannin' ta make this place ya home?"
- (Sors Ultovex)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:35] "I'm an ember upon the winds, but my clan originated in Argoth." The Vashranan dropped the name curiously, it wasn't well known but the city's history was old.
- They'd give a chuckle at the attempts to tend the flames. As he stopped though they'd click their tongue. "Oh, no please continue. I'd never get-between someone and the flames." They'd lean forward at that point a hand coming up to make sure the fae was tucked in the dreads.
- "O~ I don't think I'm the settling down type. Lots of things to see, lots to do, can't do them if you're bogged down somewhere you know?"
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:39] His lips formed a line. "Ain't heard o' Argoth. Mus' b something far 'way. But bein' a wanderer ain't bad. Plenty o' stuff ta find an' take out there if ya willin' ta look." At her prompting, the stick one more rose, this time rattling chains filling the air as the fire continued to be stoked.
- "Huh. You'll make some cute guy o' gal sad. People are always lookin' fer others to settle down wit'." He teased slightly with a cackle before leaning back in his chair.
- "Lots o' thangs ta do, ya. Personally, I need ta find an artificer soon an' work on ma own projects. Tha' does require a certain amount o' movement."
- (Sors Ultovex)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:48] "It's a continent away... Or was anyways." The Vashranan wistfully conjured a small little city out of smoke using the fire's own. It'd notably have cackling shadow figures with horns above it.
- Though with a deep breath they'd blow the smoke away. Chuckling as it danced amid the winds. "Oh, I doubt I'm the material for settlin. Having some fun? Sure, people are always willing to enjoy a fire when it's bright and warm.
- They'd seem to think about the Drakan Azera for a moment. Wonder when they'd see them again. Well, that mystery was part of the fun. "Not so much when it's gone cold and turned to embers."
- They'd tilt their head at the Ultovex. Artifcer? "Well, I'm not the best smith yet, but I am the best shadow-smith. If you ask really nicely I might swing back round and help you out~." They'd give a slight tease back to the old man. After all a fire could be re-ignited with the right kind of kindling.
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:55] "Was?" That was the most curious part of it. A raised brow. "It's horrible, ain't it? The world. How clans can fall, how civlizations can b destroyed. So often they fall an' fall an' fall, snuffed out." Again, the smoke from the flame filled the air. "Jus' depressin'."
- "Honest, havin' fun does make mor' sense. Settlin' often ends in betrayal. Then 'gain, it's human nature fer people ta betray one another. 'gain, depressin, real depressin'." He leaned slightly forwards, Dusk and Aurum looking into the flame.
- A cackle left him. "Wha' I'm lookin' fer is less in the smith department. I'll require a runewriter. I hav' a desire tha' requires magical engravin's ta b furfilled. An' I've done a whole lot ta make sur' it'll come inta bein'."
- The blue eye of his staffturned however, facing Brock. "I'd like fer ya ta visit. Smiths can find work anywhere. Maself an' keepin' weapons at their top shape? not as much." The staff is drawn from his back, some blood seen coating it. "Ma staff'll need sharpenin' soon."
- (Sors Ultovex)

- [01:05] Nemaniti exclaims, ".. Bye bye!"
- [01:08] "Derpessing? Oh, no, no! The Prince escaped and that was fine. Most of the people went with him someplace new! Though you see, I don't think destructions a bad thing."
- As they spoke they'd hope up and pull out a finely crafted orichalcum bird. It was lovley, crafted by someone who'd clearly spent countless hours of their life to make it. "Perfection of form... Finality, stagnation!" As they whooped their hands heated quickly, the gravity about them pressuring hard upon the metal in their palm. Heat and pressure turned the work of art to slag.
- "It was beautiful, but now it's snuffed out. However, watch this." With a small giggle they'd begin to heat the slag again. This time their shadow curling up their arm to add to the flames. The pure orichalcum began to blacken as it melted in their palm.
- That gravitational pressure returned in force, smashing the item into shape. Raw force shaping it again. This time it'd take the form of Sors' hat. Every detail replicated for a moment except for one small thing. Flames licked the tips of the hat crest of course!
- "From nothing comes something new, a rebirth. Even if it's endless or void for a time something will come and use the space."
- With a chuckle they'd slip the orichalcum hat into their pocket. Plopping back into their chair. "I've never met a human worth trust truth be told. Nothing against them, but it can be so dull... Though, I've not exactly had the best work. Maybe someday I'll find someone whose love for the flame is as great as mine."
- There was a small disappointed shrug at the need for a runescribe. "Ah, sadly reading runes ain't something I've looked into. Not enough fire in it you understand."
- They'd take a look at the staff as it was shown to them. Smirking at it's quality, very nicely forged. "I'll visit in that case, I might even bring my associate up here. I think he could learn a lot from that tar-rat. I've also got a soft spot for fixing up weapons. Little bit of fire and they're renewed...."
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:17] "Tha's a weird take on loss from wha' I think. I believe minor destruction is fine, thangs ta pave a road. But tha' absolute end is both something joyous an' something depressin'. An' tha' example ain't the absolute end."
- As if to make his own demonstration, the sound of chains rattling picked up. above them, a shadow began to cast, a tree from up high beginning to fall towards where both of them were sitting.
- "Ta ma, something still existin' is also a form o' stagnation." And then the lifestream screamed out. The world itself was torn as the viel of magic itself was torn to his want, a rift opening up, swallowing up the tree that had been falling towards them, and completely removed it from the world. Even the snow around it was lost.
- "Beautiful in it's own way. Lost from tha' world, neva ta b rebirthed o' reshaped. A true an' absolute end." He leanedbackwards, watching as the hat vanished into her pocket.
- "Ain't wrong. There are two laws o' humanity. We do thangs fer satisfaction an' we avoid pain. Because o' this, every person will betray either ta avoid great pain o' because someone stands in tha' way o' their satisfaction. It is our nature. We can only trust ta a certain point. It is finate."
- His claw tapped on his arm. "Ya. Differences in arts. I maself practice some thangs no one else can do, so I do understand a lil."
- The staff was unusual to say the least. A long, large Arcanium staff of high quality. Made up of two hollow Arcanium tubes with innerworkings of golden orch, this duel-gripped staff has a unsettling air about it. The topper is that of a Oscuri's hand, flesh rotted away with the wax of a necromatic candle as it's replacement. It's holding an eye that seems to bore into one's soul. The bottom of the staff can be unscrewed for repairs, hiding a maker's mark of a wolf sitting next to a campfire.
- "Feel free ta visit. Jus' make sur' ta follow tha' rule. No fightin' up here."

- [01:26] Mertaisyl whispers something.
- [01:26] Mertaisyl whispers something.
- [01:29] The woman watched the complete dismissal of the life-streams existence. It was a sight they knew the old phoenix order would have cried over. For Brock? It was just another bit of excitement. Something new they'd never seen before.
- They woman's head tilted as they listened to what came next. An explanation of the old Occultist views on the world. Oddly enough as they spoke the woman seemed to not be all that surprised at their views on absolute destruction.
- If anything they'd cast a look of appraisal upon them. It was views that they'd heard from others growing up, old musings and lessons. Strange to meet one who followed them so closely. If it wasn't for the nature of fire's rebirth they'd have followed such a mindset themselves no doubt.
- Then it came to the critique of the Human condition. As they spoke there was something odd about it in it's core. The flame-touched woman considered it. Well, satisfaction could be many things as could fleeing from pain. In the end had they not done everything in their life for their own satisfaction?
- Another nod as given, internalization being easily accomplished. It just made sense to the woman. "Aye, I think you're on the right tracks. Real smart thinking."
- Now their focus was fully and wholly upon the stave. It wasn't something she'd ever seen before. Likely an item of such potency she wouldn't see again for years to come. There was a clear sign of thought as they pondered how to refit the magical foci to 'sharpen' the stave. Though, they where confidetn with some focus it could be done.
- "No scraping, simple enough. Ya, I'll swing through when I'm mucking about in the east. Though, I think I'm gong to go simmer down to embers like our fire has done."
- With that the Vashranan hopped up, stretching with a few pops before giving a mock salute to the Dragon and Occultist. Twirling about and hoping off the cliff. Flying away to a place of rest.
- (Brock)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:31] Mertaisyl asks, "So you remember what I said about that probably being our last conversation?"
- [01:31] Mertaisyl says, "I was wrong. We need to talk."
- [01:33] "I've had a lot o' time ta think an' draw ma conclusion. An' I'm told I'm smart too, so mus' b somewhere close ta the truth." He nodded, letting his staff twirl before replacing it on his back. As the woman hopped up he gave a small nod, watching her fly away before turning around.
- "Seeya. Do enjoy tha' moment. IT's all a person's got." Then Dusk and Aurum would gaze at the dragon. His brow raises. "Wasn't 'xpectin ya ta come up here. Ain't afraid o' bein' caught."
