≫ BACKGROUND: Rose was born to a common family in the small city of Grapevine, Texas. She lived there for 2 years of her life before her father decided to move back to Korea. She has little to no memory of then. She then lived in a neighborhood in Busan from then on. She was always singing so her mother decided to put her in voice lessons at age 4. She was talented and always did recitals and such. At age 6 she began cooking with her mom, who did culinary on the side of being an author. She did baking with her father, because he had recently opened a bakery in downtown Busan. When she turned 9, she decided to begin ballet classes, and was a natural at it. At 10, she danced the prt of the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. At 12, she dropped ballet and began hiphop and b-girling. She still retained her flexibility and form but gained new skills such as speed, accuracy, ans being quick on her feet. At 14, she began gymnastics and failed at it. She quit and tried out for YG Entertainment in attempt to use her singing skills and fufill her dream to be known, and she succeeded. The same year her mother developed leukemia. She stayed with YG through her trainee years. At age 17, eleven days after her birthday, her mother lost her battle with cancer and willed her recipies to Rose. She is very sensitive about the death and probably will always be. She is extremely close with her family becahse of the death of her mother.
