  1. Challenge 3: Puzzlesmith
  2.
  3. Challenge 3! Cow voted out at last council.
  4. This time, Drake will be sitting out 2 players.
  5.
  6. Well, now's a good time to be scratching your heads. Some of these puzzles will be familiar, some will be doggone headache worthy, but hey, why else work as a team, right?
  7.
  8. 6 of you, each of you get 1 puzzle.
  9. You can collaborate with your team to figure them out, as long as you submit the correct choice in for your own puzzle, you're good to go.
  10.
  11. Each puzzle is worth 1 point.
  12. If it comes down to a tie, 6/6 vs 6/6, I have a tiebreaker ready for you. Just be ready to nominate a player to face off in it, since it'll be live. Anyone with a timezone near EST is recommended, but anybody's valid EXCEPT for those who sit out.
  13. If you're sitting out, you're out of the challenge until council.
  14.
  15. Now for the puzzles;
  16. 1) Easy Word Puzzle. Not anything that takes more than 5 minutes unless you're really having a bad day. Not sure what I've got to tell you about this one..Review your Alphabet? Big Grin
  17.
  18. 2) Medium Word Puzzle. This might take you a while, but it's worth the fight. It includes a little math, but more or less deals with the structure of the question than anything else.
  19.
  20. 3) Hard Word Puzzle. I mean, it's not as hard as the math one, but it's still a head-scratcher. Will take you a good while, definitely a good task for the ones with quick minds. Logic, too, yeah you'll need that with this one.
  21.
  22. 4) Easy Math Puzzle. This one isn't too bad, nothing a little trial and error couldn't handle. Charting this out with paper is recommended, so you can grasp it in your head.
  23.
  24. 5) Medium Math Puzzle. A calculator and knowing your operations are a total tool for this one, be ready to get down and clever. This shouldn't take anything above 20-30 minutes, maybe less if you're quick.
  25.
  26. 6) Hard Math Puzzle. Not gonna lie to you, this one hurt. A calculator also helps in this one, I'd have one ready. Personally, this took me an hour since I never liked math, so 20-30 minutes for the quick ones of course.
  27.
  28. Footnotes;
  29. -Puzzle #5 and #6 were closely ranked in difficulty, was a tough choice to differ.
  30. -None of these are pure riddles OR Sudoku, too unoriginal at this point.
  31. -Slack is recommended for quicker contact with your teammates in working this out, the forum takes a while.
  32. I also can promise almost immediate response on Slack to check your submission, whereas the forum might take a while.
  33. Steam and Skype are quicker than the forum but slower than slack, so if you've got those, it's a gamble as to how quick I'd get to respond.
  34.
  35. Ah, and by checking your submission, yes, you can submit as many times as you want. I'm only taking your most recent shot, though.
  36. I have prepared messages for *Incorrect*/*Correct* for each individual puzzle, so you'll know whether or not you got it right.
  37. Submit 10x in the same bit, though, I'm only responding to the most recent one (That has a submission in it, questions do not interfere with submissions)
  38. Be sure to label your PM with something that tells me it's a submission or questions, helps organizing a ton.
  39.
  40. That all being said, you've got 24 hours to choose who's doing what in your tribe.
  41. Please, more than 3-4 people reply / tribe.
  42.
  43. Drake, let me know who's sitting out or I'll just take whoever's 2 names that didn't get mentioned.
  44. If I still don't know who's doing what by the end of the 24 hours, I'm giving one last 24 hours and I'll contact whomever personally.
  45. If by then, still no response, a tribe won't have the full 6ix (True fans will get that pun) to do the challenge.
  46. And no, you can't do 2 puzzles for your tribe.
  47.
  48. Puzzle details are sent individually, and will be sent once I get a clear view on who's getting what.
  49. So hustle, discuss, get your choices in! Good luck, trust me, you'll be needing it for what I've cooked up Wink
  50.
  51. Choices are due 4:00PM EST, January 27th, 2016. Get 'em in.
