Bio:

Born in Gerais, Berebia. Karina was raised as the youngest of the three children of Tomas Ritzfleche, a widowed man, and a strict, relatively succesful manager of a marketing district. Karina was raised by her father to focus on her appearance, be skilled of dance and courting, and a small bit profficient in self-defense. Karina never bothered much about the ways of the court as her father wished, but succeeded in the rest, growing to be appealing and standing out as more sociable with the common folk. To her father, that came with worry, with her lack of care for affairs with the high-class, he was never able to find a noble suitor that showed interest in her. Despite this, as the youngest and only female child, she was always the special snowflake of the family, as far as care went.

Karina always looked up to her eldest brother, Sten, with much fascination. With the decorum his father demanded, skilled with the pen and the sword, and the best brother ever, in the eyes of Karina, it was no wonder Sten was considered the beacon of his family. In her childhood, Karina would sneak from her studies and watch Sten practice fencing, trying to imitate the moves and stances she watched in her bedroom, instead of sleeping early by her father's planned schedule. As she grew, however, her father decided against teaching her the sword so long as she made little effort to interact with the high-class, despite her protests. She would continue to observe her older brother, and grow a bit of an obsession over his just and amiable character. However, in her 16th year, he was arranged a marriage with the daughter of a Count or another from Northern Bereba, which torn her apart for the year, and left her only with her father and younger of the older brothers, Reidar. Reidar, lacking the charisma and brilliance of Sten or the special circumstances of Karina, was often overlooked by their father's eyes, and would sometimes lash out at Karina with pranks or plain rudeness, though he never wished true harm to his family. He turned to gambling, street fighting, and eventually found his place doing dirty mercenary work with a guild, though he never fixed his ways and was indebted from countless gambles, filling his father with regret for failing to raise all the three children to be perfect.

In Karina's 17th year, Tomas had finally arranged her marriage with a distant cousin that was a treasurer under a Baron in the lands near Horenn. Karina knew little about him other than he was more than two decades older than her, and lashed out at her father terribly, locking herself up in her bedroom for the next three days. In an occurence of fate, Reinar, having lost enough bets to slave away his mercenary lifetime to pay off, had been cornered to pay one of his absurd debts, which, unknown to him before, had made an irascible noble threaten a reward for his head. In his desperation, afraid that his father would just hasten it and deliver him to the noble, Reidar reached his sister with a plan of leaving the country. The idea awakened a Karina that saw her future ruined, and, with the sum she saved from admirers and local performances along with Reinar's mercenary connections, they left for Mercia snucking in a shipment wagon from a merchant caravan, in the guise of bodyguards.

However, in a dark and cloudless night, just a few kilometers before the border, the caravan was attacked by a mounted group of ruffians. They worried about their lives first, and made a run for the border forests the moment the chaos started. In the pitch darkness, after running for an hour or two straight, Karina finally came to the realization that she had gone too far in too fast, and her brother was nowhere to her knowledge, unknowing if he was caught or not. Terrified, but also unable to turn back, Karina continued the travel alone.

7 months passed, Karina takes a now-nomad life, ever wandering away from her homecountry, by the alias of Lilia. Though life is now far more difficult, she keeps herself fixated on the fact that her life is now free and hers to do what she wants.
