Inspector Gadget and The Flash: Save a Pretty Penny

Inspector Gadget is experimenting with some of his gadgets, while Penny plays around on her computer book nearby. Suddenly a weird vortex opens up nearby and a girl tumbles out of it. She bears a striking resemblance to Penny. The girl quickly notices Penny. "You must be this Earth's version of me", she comments. Penny tells the mysterious girl her name, and is surprised when the girl says her name is Penny as well. Then, the Gadget Phone rings. Inspector Gadget answers it ,talks for a few minutes, then hangs up. "Chief Quimby is sending me to Central City on an assignment", he announces, "I want the two of you to come with me. There's some friends of mine in Central City who can help our friend here get back to whatever Earth she came from".

Inspector Gadget, both Pennies, and Brain (Penny's dog) soon arrive in Central City. The Flash, Central City's resident superhero, meets them at the airport. Gadget takes both Pennis to a place called STAR Labs where they meet Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow, who are friends of the Flash. They also meet a guy named Harrison Wells, who tells them he's from another Earth too. Cisco quickly deduces that this second Penny is from Earth-2. "I was kicked through a portal or "breach" as you call it while fighting a super-villain", Earth-2 Penny explains. Earth-1 Penny says they should go to Earth-2 with Earth 2 Penny and help her defeat said super-villain. gadget reminds them that he has a mission in Central city. The Flash runs off and comes back a few seconds later with Dr. Claw and some of his henchmen tied up. "I took care of them for you and contacted Chief Quimby to let him know". Both Pennies, Flash, and Gadget prepare to travel to Earth-2. Cisco opens a breach and the four of them vanish into it.

"The villain I was fighting was someone i'd never seen before", Earth-2 Penny informs everyone. As they explore the city they've arrived in, Gadget, Flash, and the Pennies notice a path of destruction leading out into the country. They quickly encounter the villain behind the destruction, who turns out to be the villain Earth-2 Penny had been fighting. Barry recognizes the villain as Ash Ketchum, but this  version of Ash is wearing a red and black costume and brandishing two pistols. The villain addresses himself as Ashpool. "I am an alternate version of Deadpool from Pokemon-Earth, which you would call Earth-4", he tells them. He goes on to explain, "my Earth is the only one to have the creatures known as Pokemon, as far as I know, and i was quite the Pokemon trainer. I did, however, have a problem with losing in every Pokemon League I took part in. After losing for the 6th time, in my Earth's Kalos region, I met Deadpool. Deadpool came from a different Earth and was downright insane. After hanging out with him for a while, I decided to emulate him in order to get revenge on those who beat me before. The first two individuals I did away with were Jessie and James of Team Rocket, who kept trying to steal my Pikachu, which was my first Pokemon". "This Deadpool guy sounds like a real jerk", Inspector Gadget states. "Yeah will he showed me the truth", Ashpool continues, "that I can get what I want as long as I don't give a crap about anything or anyone that tries to stop me or get in my way". "That sounds like a really bad philosophy to me", Earth-1 Penny chimes in. Ashpool continues, "Yeah well he went back to his Earth, and I used the "breach" he opened to travel to this Earth. I already murdered everyone who ever defeated me in a Pokemon League. Now what I think i'm gonna duel is conquer this Earth and then head to the next one and conquer it. I won't  stop until I rule the entire multiverse". "Dude, you're crazy", Flash remarks. Ashpool aims his pistols at them, "Enough talking". "Go Go Gadget Hammer", Inspector Gadget yells. A giant mallet emerges from his hat and hits Ashpool right on his head, knocking him out cold.

Back on earth-1 ,Cisco and Caitlin are waiting for the others to return. "I'm gonna go get some coffee", Cisco announces. When Cisco arrives at the coffee shop, he finds a girl he's never seen before standing near the coffee bar. she is wearing a purple outfit and Her ears are oddly pointy. "Who might you be?", he asks her. "Jayna Wonder", she replies, "I'm a metahuman with shapeshifting powers". Jayna demonstrates her powers by turning into a dog, then a cat, then a kangaroo, then back into herself. "You must be the famous Cisco Ramon, or do you prefer Vibe". "You can call me whichever name you prefer", Cisco replies, completely smitten with Jayna. Cisco orders a cup of coffee and then, as he's leaving, he scoops Jayna up in his arms and carries her out the door. "I want you to meet my friends at STAR labs", He requests. Jayna hesitates at first, then shapeshifts into a kitten so Cisco can carry her easier.

Cisco returns to STAR labs and Caitlin is surprised to see him cradling a kitten. She's even more surprised when the kitten turns into a teenage/young adult woman who introduces herself as Jayna Wonder and says she's a metahuman. Caitlin asks Jayna to show her what else she can turn into, but for some reason Jayna's powers have stopped working. "I must be too far away from my twin brother, Zan", she tells them, "He's a shapeshifter like me, but our powers stop working if we're too far apart". Then a deluge of water comes flooding into STAR labs. Cisco fires a blast of "Vibe energy" but it has no effect. the water knocks Cisco off his feet, and then coalesces into a male human form. The man has the same purple outfit, and pointy ears as Jayna. "I am Zan Wonder", the man declares, "who are you, and why did you run off with my twin sister?" he asks. "I'm Cisco Ramon, and I have huge crush on your sister", Cisco answers. Zan angrily launches a big watery fist at Cisco. Cisco counters with a huge fist made of "Vibe energy". The two attacks collide and there's an explosion, and a large energy discharge. Some of the energy hits the breach, causing it to shake violently. Zan next launches a fist of ice at Cisco. Cisco shatters it with a burst of Vibe energy. Jayna jumps inbetween them, transforms into a Bigfoot monster, and holds a hand out to each of the boys, telling them to stop. "I'll admit I've kinda developed a crush on Cisco too", she tells both of them, "Cisco didn't know our powers would stop working if we were too far apart".

There's a sudden commotion on the STAR labs monitor. Cisco and the Wonder Twins race outside to see the spirit of a well-dressed man causing the chaos. "That guy calls himself Gentleman Ghost", The Wonder Twins inform Cisco, "We dealt with him before but couldn't stop him". He's probably been following us ever since then". Cisco fires a blast of Vibe energy at Gentleman Ghost, but it has no effect. Jayna turns into a Dragon while Zan turns into a cage made of ice. Jayna unleashes her flame breath on Gentleman Ghost, but it also has no effect. Zan switches to a water cage, but fails to trap Gentleman Ghost. "how are we supposed to beat this guy?" Jayna asks. "You got any gadgets or gizmos that can stop him?", Zan asks. "No, I've never fought a ghost before, but I know some people who can help", Cisco answers. Cisco rushes back inside, picks up a phone, and starts dialing. the Wonder Twins are right behind him, asking "Who you gonna call?".

Back in Earth-2, Gadget, Flash, and Earth-1 Penny follow Earth-2 Penny to a graveyard. They have Ashpool hog-tied and plan to return him to his Earth, but Earth-2 Penny wants to show them something first. she takes them a gravestone with the name John Brown on it. "Hey, that's my name", Inspector Gadget realizes. "My uncle is buried here", Earth-2 Penny reveals, "He and Dr. Claw both died in their final battle". Earth-2 Penny next takes them to her "Gadget Lab". Earth-1 Penny sees what must be Earth-2 Brain curled up in a dog bed nearby. "This is where I keep all the gadgets I was able to salvage from my uncle's body", Earth-2 Penny explains, "And over here is a suit of armor I made from some of the salvaged gadgets". She walks over and dons the armor. "I decided to take over as the new Inspector Gadget, although I call myself Gadgette". Then, four women walk into Penny's lab. "These are my friends the Ghostbusters. They sometimes borrow my tech". The four women introduce them selves as Dr. Erin Gilbert, Abby Yates, Jillian Holtzmann, and Patty Tolan.  Earth-2 Penny/Gadgette explains to the Ghostbusters about Ashpool, and how she got sent to Earth-1, where she me that earth's Penny and got help from that Earth's Inspector Gadget and Flash to get back here to Earth-2. When Gadgette tells the about the breach, Erin asks, "can we see it?". "It would be so cool to glimpse another Earth", Abby adds. The 8 of them, with Ashpool still tied up, head for the breach so Inspector gadget, Flash, and Earth-1 Penny can go back to Earth-1. Earth-1 Penny notices the odd backpack-like contraptions with hoses that the Ghostbusters are wearing. "What are those things?" she asks. "Proton Packs", Jillian answers, "We catch ghosts with them". When they reach the breach, everyone can see Cisco and 4 other guys on the other end battling what appears to be a well-dressed male ghost. "is it me or do those 4 guys have Proton Packs?" Patty asks.

Back on Earth-1, Cisco's "help", the Earth-1 Ghostbusters (Dr. Raymond Stantz, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Peter Venkman, and Winston Zeddmore) have chased Gentlemen Ghost into STAR Labs, and are attempting to trap him. Gentleman Ghost sees the Breach and makes a beeline for it. the Earth-1 Ghostbusters Surrond him. Spengler happens to look into the breach and sees four women with Proton Packs staring back. "Perhaps we should get those other Ghostbusters to help us", he suggests. Venkman yells into the Breach and Jillian manages to hear him. he says if they get Gentlemen Ghost into the Breach and zap him from both ends, the crossing of their groups of streams should neutralize him. The Earth-1 Ghostbusters grab gentlemen Ghost with their proton beams and hurdle him into the Breach. The Earth-2 Ghostbusters fire their proton beams at Gentleman Ghost, when the 4 beams from the Earth-2 end of the breach collide with streams from the Earth-1 end, there's a huge explosion and Gentleman Ghost is blown to smithereens, sending a gush of ectoplasm out of both ends of the breach.

With the threat neutralized, Inspector Gadget, Flash, and Earth-1 Penny say farewell to Gadgette and the Earth-2 Ghostbusters and return to Earth-1. They take Ashpool to Earth-1 with them and, after making it back, tell Cisco to open a breach to Earth-4 so they can send Ashpool back to where he belongs. Ashpool breaks free from the ropes he had been tied up in and tries to shoot Cisco, but The Flash intercepts the bullets. Cisco opens a breach to Eart-4 and Flash hits Ashpool with some rapid fire punches and then kicks him into the breach. Cisco quickly closes the breach.

With all the threats taken care of, Cisco introduces the Wonder Twins to the Flash, Inspector Gadget, and Penny. Flash welcomes the Wonder Twins to "Team Flash". Inspector Gadget calls Chief Quimby, who confirms that the criminals the Flash rounded up earlier are in custody. Without warning, Cisco grabs Jayna and kisses her. Zan starts to react, but then repents. Penny is nearby, so he grabs Penny and kisses her. A few seconds later, Zan is hit on the head by Gadget's hat mallet. "Sorry about that", Gadget apologizes. "Whatever', Zan respond, and then he kisses penny again. Cisco laughs and then goes back to kissing Jayna.
