[00:34]	* [Rut]Laure	approaches the two guards quietly. A scythe-like blade flicks open in her right hand. Then her left. When she runs out of cover with which to draw closer, she leaps forward to catch the closest one on the side of the neck before his friend can react.

[00:36]	<[Crix]Ashra>	Double sealed, for twice the leak protection.
[00:38]	* NgMui	gets impatient and goes for the letter.
[00:38]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: your attack wasn't your best work ever, but the guards are not maid-spies, and are no match. You manage to overpower one, but not without a bit of a fuss. The other guard gasps, but also remembers to blow a whistle

[00:40]	<NomDeNarrateur>	[Too bad! That was an obvious move]
[00:40]	<[Atai]Millie>	I said hold your fucking horses. There's another letter here.

[00:41]	* [Rut]Laure	was going to force him to sound an alert sooner or later. But since he's already taken care of that, she flings her second sickle, which would have otherwise been meant for his leg. Instead, she'd put this one between his eyes.
[00:41]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Millie: the note is short and simple. "You should know better."
[00:41]	* [Atai]Millie	isn't really listening to Ng Mui.
[00:42]	* [Atai]Millie	snickers, and flicks the letter off to the side, in her general direction, but it's still going to fall short of her.
[00:42]	<[Atai]Millie>	That sneaky bastard.
[00:42]	* [Atai]Millie	taps out envelope number two into her hand.
[00:43]	<[Crix]Ashra>	Aren't you going to open it?
[00:43]	<[Atai]Millie>	Hell no.
[00:43]	* NgMui	grabs Millie by the face, as she hasn't made an opposing roll
[00:43]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: The sound of the whistle dies in an interesting gurgle, and the guard goes down. But you here running footsteps towards your direction, and more whistles
[00:43]	<[Crix]Ashra>	A small note has managed to intimidate you, how embarrassing...
[00:46]	* [Rut]Laure	moves to hide by the nearest stairway, quickly retrieving her weapons as she leaves the bodies.
[00:46]	<NgMui>	Weren't you born in an English speaking country? You don't seem to understand much of it. I'm sorry, was I not clear?
[00:51]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: you manage to find a good spot behind the stairway. Guards are already beginning to file in, and they treat the bodies with some dismay. They begin to search the general area.
[00:51]	<[Atai]Millie>	Get your goddamn hands off me or lose them.
[00:54]	* [Rut]Laure	estimates her distance from the guards and how close they are to noticing her. She decides to wait just a little longer... or until someone walks out of the stairwell.
[00:56]	* [Crix]Ashra	sighs and away from the Millie and the ninja, to go near a nearby tree.
[00:56]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: no one seems to be coming from the upper floor. The guards are slow, but very thorough. At this rate they'll start looking around the stairs in a few minutes
[00:57]	<[Crix]Ashra>	I suppose this will have to do, it's not an even surface but hey what can you do.
[00:57]	* NgMui	takes the envelope. and keeps her hands while she's at it. Afterwards, she releases Millie and picks up the note she dropped. She glances over it.
[00:58]	* [Crix]Ashra	takes out a piece of chalk and inscribes a crescent moon within a circle on it
[00:58]	<[Crix]Ashra>	[It being the tree]
[00:59]	* [Rut]Laure	decides to take her chances. As soon as the guards aren't looking in her direction, she slips up the stairs. Were any late stragglers to come down, the quarters would be close enough for her to polish them off without too much of a fuss. She keeps ready for a sudden slash as she heads up.
[00:59]	* [Atai]Millie	slices Ng Mui's hand, but just barely.
[01:00]	* [Atai]Millie	yanks herself away, as soon as she's let go, and yells angrily.
[01:00]	<[Atai]Millie>	WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM, WOMAN?!

[01:02]	* [Crix]Ashra	chants a few lines of abyssal and presses her hands against the the tree, where a sword hilt is now sticking out of the bark.
[01:02]	* NgMui	was more annoyed at being charlie brown'd than the slice across her hand, and now she makes a messy face at the note from the envelope.
[01:02]	<[Crix]Ashra>	I think my sword is stuck...

[01:02]	<[Atai]Millie>	Fucking... fuck! Is everyone a massive bitch where you come from?! Jesus Christ!

[01:04]	* NgMui	shoves the note and the envelope in a pocket, looks back, and then towards the trail.
[01:05]	<[Atai]Millie>	As far as I knew, that was my pay for the evening, Jesus.
[01:05]	<[Atai]Millie>	I was bluffing until now, but It was the only thing remotely papery I had on me.
[01:05]	<NgMui>	You can slander me later. Right now, we need to get out of here.
[01:05]	<[Atai]Millie>	I don't know what IS in there.

[01:07]	* NgMui	dangles some keys, then grabs up Ashra and heads off.
[01:08]	* [Atai]Millie	follows behind, thinking happy thoughts about pouring powdered glass in the chinks cereal or rice gruel, or whatever the fuck gooks eat for breakfast.
[01:09]	* [Crix]Ashra	is helplessly carried away by NgMui, an ornately decorated rapier in her left hand
[01:10]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: you're up the stairs
[01:12]	<NomDeNarrateur>	There is not as many guards here, it seems. Unlike the first floor, where the perimetre is closely enforced, the upper floors have more concentrated defences
[01:12]	<NomDeNarrateur>	That, and it may be on fire.
[01:16]	* [Rut]Laure	, keeping wary, moves to check the view out of the nearest window. How have the escapees progressed, and what are the outside security measures like? She had hoped they would be preoccupied with crowd control, but she couldn't be certain.
[01:21]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: you sure don't see, any escapees. There a lot of guards in the garden, sure.
[01:25]	<NomDeNarrateur>	They seem to be...looking for something
[01:28]	* [Rut]Laure	is impressed. They even kept the inner and outer patrol cells separate. She looks for another staircase, other than the main stairs and the one she just used. Her earlier distraction wouldn't be enough.
[01:29]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: since you're in the left wing, there should be a mirror all the way in the right wing
[01:33]	* [Rut]Laure	heads there. Time was wasting, and it'd have to do. She'd take the shortest route to escape.
[01:33]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Moving right along: you are there!
[01:38]	* [Rut]Laure	is there!
[01:40]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: you now have various options: you can try a window (awesome idea, by the way), go back downstairs, or find some other magic way

[01:44]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Like any sensible person, Laure doesn't attempt to leap from the second story of a huge mansion. So she just climbs out. The bushes are still rather annoying, but much more manageable when you aren't hurtling downwards.
[01:45]	<NomDeNarrateur>	There is a predetermined escape route. There should be a car waiting for you.
[01:46]	* [Rut]Laure	stays low while outside and tries to slip past the patrols on the way to the extraction point.
[01:47]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Laure: on your way to the point, you see a group of three women following the same route you are. How suspicious! How did the flow of time work for this to happen? But everyone knows time dilates when you start traveling at the speed of drama, so it all makes sense.

[01:49]	* NgMui	zooms along, giving Ashra a fun little joy ride. RIDE THE DRAGON! NO STAMP REQUIRED FOR THOSE THAT ARRIVE IN UNIFORM
[01:50]	* [Crix]Ashra	is the only person who can see the newcomer because she is the only one looking backwards.
[01:50]	<[Crix]Ashra>	There's someone behind us, and It's a girl!

[01:55]	* [Rut]Laure	keeps pace. She seems relieved, but is looking straight at NgMui, broadcasting a -very- specific message. "What are you doing" and "who (the fuck) are these people".

[01:56]	* NgMui	isn't paying attention, and gets some invisible words carved into her back
[01:57]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Everyone: the path looked like it would lead you through the woods, but it actually curves around to another side of the mansion. Sitting literally in the middle of nowhere is...a pickup truck. It looks like it may once have belonged to the renovators of the mansion, because there are are still pieces of timber sitting in the bed.
[01:57]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Also, you see two men. Or bears. That's always a possibility.
[01:58]	<[Crix]Ashra>	I can't see anything, did we just go in a circle

[02:01]	<[Atai]Millie>	Are you driving, dying, or getting the fuck out of the way?
[02:01]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Everyone save Ashra: as you get closer, you recognise at least one of those faces. It's Minister...Minister...It's that foreign minister who threw the party.

[02:03]	* NgMui	skids to a halt, and sets Ashra down. She keeps herself at a distance close enough to get a draw on one of the figures if they prove to be hostile.
[02:04]	<NomDeNarrateur>	The other is a giant of a man in a black suit, standing just slightly behind the minister. Ng Mui: you can tell he is no amateur, just by his bearing
[02:04]	* [Crix]Ashra	brushes herself off, then turns around and realizes that there are other people here, or bears.
[02:04]	<[Atai]Millie>	Shh.
[02:05]	* [Rut]Laure	stops, appearing to hide slightly behind NgMui's back. And, in turn, hidden behind her own back, is another folded sickle.
[02:05]	<NgMui>	Stand aside.
[02:06]	<[Crix]Ashra>	Don't worry, we're professionals.
[02:06]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Minister: "Ah, good evening. Ladies. How goes it?"

[02:10]	<NomDeNarrateur>	As he says so, he holds up a small seal, no bigger than the palm of his hand. On it is carved a symbol, one that you all recognise.

[02:10]	<NomDeNarrateur>	It was used in lieu of a signature on each of your individual contracts
[02:10]	<[Atai]Millie>	Ask the chink.

[02:15]	<[Rut]Laure>	Mm... but my, it is rather crowded over here. With all these... previously unmentioned additions, I certainly hope our contractual agreement will be honored, yes?
[02:17]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Ng Mui: The minister nods to the giant behind him, who steps forward to take the envelope from you
[02:18]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Minister: "You raise an interesting point, Laure. Consider this:"
[02:19]	<NomDeNarrateur>	He motions in the direction of the mansion you just left behind. A part of it has collapsed, and a huge plume of smoke is billowing out.
[02:20]	* [Crix]Ashra	idly draws figure eights in the ground with her rapier
[02:23]	<[Atai]Millie>	So... you just trashed your own house, just to get something that guy could have handed you on his own?
[02:23]	* [Atai]Millie	is confused, slightly.
[02:25]	<[Rut]Laure>	Oh, but this one is too humble to suggest that avoiding such things was not a specified secondary objective, sir~

[03:08]	<NomDeNarrateur>	This first stretch of road is mostly empty plains. You are free to gun it without much trouble. You can also try ducking into the dirt roads, or off the road altogether
[03:09]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Ng Mui, Ashra, Laure: in the back of the truck, there are also some firearms. Someone has been quite generous.
[03:09]	<[Atai]Millie>	Hey, bomber Betty? Anything more than goes boom?

[03:12]	* NgMui	hangs on, and gets lower to avoid any sudden branches.
[03:14]	* [Crix]Ashra	pulls a two handled rifle out of the crate, it has a large drum barrel attached to it
[03:16]	* [Rut]Laure	retrieves a bolt-action rifle from the crate, taking it over the semi-automatic next to it.
[03:17]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Everyone: this is going to be no joyride. Your pursuers also have all sorts of delicious firearms they do not mind unloading in your general direction. As they are doing now.
[03:18]	* [Crix]Ashra	braces herself on the side of the truck, spraying bullets towards the cars
[03:19]	* [Atai]Millie	hears the sound of awfully close gunfire.

[03:27]	<NomDeNarrateur>	There is an exchange of gunfire. Bullets fire through the air on both sides. Plinking sounds of ricochet resound through the night, but the maids seem to have the advantage. The lead car is peppered, and while it didn't seem to get anything vital, the driver seems suitably spooked, and distracts himself slightly trying to dodge

[03:32]	<NomDeNarrateur>	At that moment, Millie makes a sharp turn. The pursuers don't quiet manage the same reflexes

[03:34]	* [Atai]Millie	shuts up quick, though. It'd be just her luck for them to gain the advantage soon.
[03:38]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Millie: the road is much tighter now. There are more bends, more obstacles, more cover.
[03:39]	* [Crix]Ashra	Prepares to fire the other half of the 50round drum mag into the chasing car's engines.
[03:41]	<NgMui>	Excuse me for a moment.
[03:42]	* NgMui	grabs up a long hunk of heavy timber from beneath Ashra, points it up, and looks ahead.
[03:42]	* [Atai]Millie	sees Ng Mui getting up to something funky, and gives her the benefit of the doubt. Dirty nip she might be, but nips are crafty, right?
[03:43]	<NgMui>	There... Keep driving forward.
[03:44]	* NgMui	turns it horizontal, holding it above the cab, and waits. A few seconds later, the path closes closely between two trees. The truck makes it through, but the log does not; it falls between them and snags on two low branches. An obstacle intended for their pursuers.
[03:52]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Everyone: your pursuers gun after they turn after you, but they did not expect a huge log suddenly in the way of the road. The first car swerves violently to try to avoid it, and almost manages to do so, but a sudden grenade from Laure is enough to cause a fatal accident. The car spirals into a tree, a total wreck
[03:53]	<[Atai]Millie>	Thaaaat's my girls.
[03:53]	* [Atai]Millie	grins, and stomps on the gas.
[03:54]	<NomDeNarrateur>	The other two cars also swerve, but to avoid their fallen colleague. They fail to take into account more gunfire coming from their prey, and another has its engines filled with lead. It starts smoking violently, and it is forced to pull off to the side. Little help that would do, because it also seems to catch fire
[03:54]	* NgMui	sighs, and leans back against the cab. So much violence tonight.
[03:54]	* [Atai]Millie	is hopped up on adrenaline. So much violence tonight!
[03:58]	* [Rut]Laure	keeps her eyes down the sight of her rifle, and on the road behind them.
[03:59]	* NgMui	, after she's done firing off into the night, lightly taps Ashra with her foot.
[04:00]	<NomDeNarrateur>	[Accelerating goes well. Lead is now 7]

[04:03]	<NomDeNarrateur>	Millie: you're almost run out of country road. In time you will reach a small town

[04:17]	<NomDeNarrateur>	The last car, quite aware that it's quite alone at this point, its friends now two flaming wrecks on the side of the road, has a bit of a change of heart about pursuing further. It slows down visibly, and is probably stopping to assist the survivors (doubtful) of your concentrated anti-vehicle violence

[04:22]	<NomDeNarrateur>	[Everyone: This is the part where you drive off into the sunset, but it's quite dark and the sun does not feel like setting for your punks just because it's convenient for the narrative.
