- Alexithymiaa: -Steph stood in the kitchen, a wooden spoon in her hand as she stirred the asparagus in the pot on top of the stove before replacing the lid to let them finish steaming. Grabbing pot holders, she leaned down to pull the baking tray out of the oven, setting it down on the counter to admire her baked fish. She pursed her lips, setting the pot holders aside and glancing at the table she'd already set before shifting to turn the heat off from under the asparagus.-
- Covet: Felix drove up to Steph's house and parked his vehicle, getting out and making his way up to the door as he came inside. Walking inside he closed the door behind him and sniffed the air, "Well, it smells good that's for sure. What are we drinking tonight? Water, Juice?" He asked going to help out by getting dishes out for them both.
- Alexithymiaa: "Whatever you want." She said as she glanced over her shoulder at him, turning to take the plates so she could put a piece of fish on both along with a scoop of asparagus. Picking up both plates, she turned and walked them over to the table, setting one down at each place setting before turning around to look at him, quickly tugging down the bottom of her dress because it was kind of short. "Are you all set for class tomorrow?"-
- Covet: Felix looked her over and smiled, as he got into the fridge and got himself some Juice. "What would you like?" He asked her looking at her glass in his hand, before glancing back at her, looking her over with a bit of a smirk, "All dressed up? What's the occasion for tonight?" he asked curiously.
- Alexithymiaa: "Water is fine. Thanks." She glanced down at her outfit, pulling her arms in front of her as she jerked one shoulder. "I had some news for you. That's why I invited you over more than you just casually showing up." She turned and walked to the piano to grab the oversized certified mail envelope, hugging it to her chest before walking over to the table to set it down next to her place, waiting for him to take a seat.-
- Covet: He put some water into her cup, closed the fridge and made his way over to the table sitting down, still looking over at her, "Oh? Well I'm not sure if this sounds ominous or not. But from the look on your face, you seem to be excited about it. What's in the envelope?"
- Alexithymiaa: -She took a seat across from him, chewing on the inside of her cheek as she tried to keep her excitement in check. "My contract." She smiled, reaching for the envelope to pull out the packet of pages the label had overnighted her after their Skype meeting Friday, holding it up to see. "As soon as I sign this and send it back to them, I'll officially be signed to Fueled By Ramen."-
- Covet: "Hey, look at you go. I told you it'd work out just fine. I'm surprised you havne't signed them already, I would have been right on that, if I was you." He said digging into his food, because hungry. " Where's a pen?" He asked with a smile, "By the way.. This is fantastic."
- Alexithymiaa: "Well it has to be notarized since I wasnt there to sign it in front of them, and I only got them in the mail yesterday so I have to wait until tomorrow to go to the bank and see a notary anyway." She placed the papers back into the envelope, setting them down on the chair next to her before picking up her fork and cutting into her fish, bringing a small piece up to her mouth. "It better be fantastic, fish is like the one thing I'm fairly confident in cooking."-
- Covet: "Ah, I see, that makes sense. Well congratulations, Red. I'm proud of you. That's fantastic." He said taking another bite. "So... what's next in the trail blazing path you're making for yourself?" He asked her with a smirk.
- Alexithymiaa: "Well..." She started, stabbing at a piece of asparagus with her fork and turning it in circles before biting the end of it. "They asked us a question during our meeting that I didn't quite know the answer to. And I thought maybe you could help us come up with an answer.." She trailed off, biting more of her asparagus.-
- Covet: "How, can I be of assistance, Red?" He asked, curious as to the question. "I'm not sure what kind of help I can be, but I'll do my best." He watched her eating and gave a smile.
- Alexithymiaa: -She finished off her piece of asparagus and set her fork down on her plate, lacing her fingers in front of him as she looked across the table into his face, trying to act as casual as possible despite the fact that she was practically vibrating in her seat. "Well it's not contractual, but they asked us who our videographer and photographers were and their contact information so if they ever needed anything for promos, it was less hassle to locate and hire on staff and send them out here to get the footage and pictures they need." She paused, carefully tucking her hair back behind her ear. "I just thought you might know of someone who would be our band's official photographer." She spoke matter of factly, unable to keep the sly smirk off her face.-
- Covet: Felix looked at her and raised a brow before he thought about it, tilting his head side to side, before he grinned and looked at her, "Well, I might know this one guy. I hear he's pretty awesome and takes some great photos. So I'm sure that could easily be done. I'll get a hold of him and let you know." He smirked and took another bite of food.
- Alexithymiaa: "Oh yeah?" She asked, rolling her eyes. "Well you can tell this one guy that even though it's freelance, it's still kind of a big obligation so he should give it a considerable amount of thought. But a label like them? They'd pay good money for a freelance photographer." She picked up her fork again, cutting off a piece of fish and bringing it to her mouth.-
- Covet: Felix bit the inside of his cheek, knowing the money would be helpful to get the loan he took out on his car paid back. "Oh, I see. Well. I'm sure he will greatly appreciate that, and the money would be enticing for him to accept." He said with a laugh, "Sure, I can do some photos for you and the band."
- Alexithymiaa: -She pushed up from her chair and walked over to him, sitting down in his lap with her legs off to the side as she draped her arm around his shoulders, looking down into his face. "Arizona, I'm serious. It's a really big obligation and I want you to actually think about it before you say yes. They can literally call you at any time regardless of what you have going on and demand shots. And if they're not shots you've previously taken and have on hand, it's something you need to get within their deadline. And this is why when they asked, I didn't immediately give them your name because I wanted to ask you first. And I wanted you to actually consider the pros and cons here."-
- Covet: Felix sat back and listed to her, letting his hand rest on her waist. "I understand this, and honestly it doesn't sound all that terrible, I'm not really seeing many cons. Plus it's be kind of cool to work with you, sort of, in a way." He said with a laugh.
- Alexithymiaa: "Why would you want to work with me? I'm annoying and bossy and meticulous. I would drive you crazy. Er. Crazier." She said with a small laugh, moving her hand to rustle his hair. "Why don't you sleep on it to at least give yourself the time to think about it and at least wait until tomorrow to tell me?"-
- Covet: "Yeah, but.. Pictures are kind of my thing, so I'm not really worried about how picky you will be when I pretty much already know how to make you happy." He said with a laugh, "I'll think about it, but I'm pretty sure my mind is already made up here. "
- Alexithymiaa: -She smiled, leaning in and pressing her lips to his. "Thank you." Hearing a knock at the front door, she furrowed her brows, slipping off his lap and tugging her dress down to readjust it. "I swear I only invited you over..." She mumbled, making her way to the front door and pulling it open, her eyes going a little wide when she saw Risa standing on the front porch. "Mom. What are you doing here?" // Risa looked up when Steph opened the door, stepping into the house without a moment's hesitation, looking Steph over with a bit of a sneer. "What are you wearing?" She asked, moving around the corner until she saw Felix at the table with their nice dinner all set out. "I just came to deliver some information for you... am I interrupting?"-
- Covet: Felix kissed her back and gave her a squeeze, then raised his eyebrow as he heard the knock on the door. "Aren't you always?" Felix asked her back taking a sip from his juice as he leaned back, leaving himself open so Steph could come back and join him. " But since you've already interupted, if you make it quick, I'm sure I can quickly forget you even showed up."
- Alexithymiaa: -Steph instantly looked down at her dress, moving her arms in front of herself to cover her body before pushing the door closed behind her mother because animals. "Yeah... kind of..." She mumbled, instantly uncomfortable with her mother's presence. She walked back over to Felix, standing next to his chair and setting her hand on his shoulder since she didnt want HIM to get all worked up over Risa. "What information are you delivering?" // Risa glared at Felix since she hates him and stuff, digging into her purse for a pair of folded papers, pulling them out and unfolding them, setting them down on the table. "I talked to Coach Walsh for you, and he's willing to rehire you as an assistant coach at the gym. I know you need a steady income, so this was the best option for you. Benji and Alicia are excited you're coming back."-
- Covet: "Well, that's nice of you, but Steph didn't need your help. She as an adult as got it covered. I know you don't like to come to terms with it, but Steph's done with Gymnastics, Risa." Felix said staring at the paper, being pretty calm over all as he put an arm around Steph's waist, before he looked back up at Risa, staring her in the eye.
- Alexithymiaa: -She bit down on the tip of her tongue as she looked down at the papers, covering Felix's hand with hers and giving his fingers a little squeeze. "I appreciate the thought, but like Felix said, I'm done with gymnastics. I don't want to coach. Besides... the band is actually being signed by a label. Like a legit, big time label. I don't really have to worry about that anymore..." // Risa darted her glare at Felix, addressing Steph, but staring right at him. "Stephanie please tell your little boyfriend that he needs to be more respectful of your mother." She held his gaze a moment longer before looking at Steph. "A label? That's ridiculous. Those things come and go at the drop of the hat. People fall off the radar everyday. That's hardly a steady income, and definitely not one you'll be able to pull in to maintain your lifestyle. Coaching is the best option for you."-
- Covet: "I'll be more respectful of you Risa, when you start repsecting your daughter more." Felix said speaking up louder. "Believe it or not your daughter has a talent that caused a label to seek her out. Not for her to go to them. Now last time I checked she was an adult, and could make her own choices without her ever vacant, and out of touch mother trying to dictate how she lives." He said cutting his words coldy. "Coaching, undermines Steph's abilites and what she's capable of. She's better than that. I'm sad that you can't see that. But then again you'd have to be around in order to witness just how amazing she is."
- Alexithymiaa: "He's not my-" She stopped talking quickly because the details of their relationship were unimportant right now. She quickly glanced down at her feet while Felix spoke, shifting uncomfortably as she listened to the two of them go back and forth. // Risa's eyes flashed as Felix raised his voice at her, taking a step closer to point her finger at him. "I am not vacant. I respect the fact that she is an adult and has her own life and I keep an appropriate distance from intruding. I know she is talented, and that's why I'm trying to do my best in guiding the talent I know she has, in the right direction. You've been here five minutes and you think you know what's best for her? You werent the one up at six in the morning to make sure she got off to the gym on time. Do you know what it's like to keep a ten year old on pace for a national career? I don't think so. So you have no right to judge me or her upbringing."-
- CovetCovet : Felix started to laugh, looking right at Risa, "With all do respect. Ms. Robinson, You have not kept an appropriate distance, for her sake. You did so because it was convenient for yourself. So don't pretend like you were doing her a favor." He said then picked up his glass of juice taking another sip off of it. "Your dreams for Steph, are no longer her own. I can't even begin to tell you what all of that pushing, not guiding.. Pushing and forcing, has done to your daughter. You might have been there to wake her up that early in the morning., I'll give you that." He said setting his glass down, as he squeezed it, setting his cold gaze on her, "But you weren't here, holding her hair back and making sure she got a glass of water when she was sick in the middle of the night. You weren't here telling her that she's capable of so much more, she just has to try. You haven't been here supporting her, helping her through the day. Even today you can't be proud for your daughter, because it's not what you want. Her national career, is going in a different direction. Whether you like it or not, is not up to you, or something you get to guilt her over. She's doing music for herself. I've been here a lot longer than five minutes, Risa, and as her boyfriend, I'm not going anywhere either. So how about you take those papers, and this information we've given you, and get out, and get over it." He said lifting Steph's hand up to give it a kiss, never breaking his gaze.
- Alexithymiaa: -Steph swallowed hard as she listened to the two of them fight back and forth, her eyes finally falling on Felix's face when he took her hand. She stared down at him for a long moment before finally turning to look at her mother, her voice a little unsteady. "Mom... please just go..." // Risa's face went stony, snatching the papers off the table to fold them and shove them back down into her purse. "So this is how it's going to be?" She asked Steph specifically, not actually illiciting an answer from her. "Fine. But don't come crying to me when he breaks your heart and leaves you behind just like all the others." She spun on her heel and walked away from them, marching her way to the door to pull it open and step outside, slamming it closed behind her.-
- Covet: "And l'll get yout little dog too!" Felix said mockingly as she walked out, Relaxing a little but didn't let go of Steph's hand. "Sorry, I couldn't resist. You alright, Red?" He asked her looking up at her, his candor returning after Risa had left.
- Alexithymiaa: -She forced a smile after his Wicked Witch remark, nodding her head. "Yeah... you are aware you called yourself my boyfriend, right?" She asked, her eyes falling over his face.-
- Covet: "I am. " He said looking back up at her, pulling her in. "I'm fully aware of everything I just said, and I meant every word of it. Is that a problem?" He said giving her a cocky smirk.
- Alexithymiaa: -She shook her head as she moved to sit back down into his lap, her hand moving to his cheek. "Thank you." She leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips before leaning back to look at him again. "I guess this kind of solves my problem of how to prefer to you, to other people." She eased off his lap and reached across the table, picking up their plates to walk them into the kitchen for cleaning ups.-
- Covet: Felix kissed her back and smiled at her. "Sorry for getting so short and being cold with your Mom. She doesn't like me anyways, so I don't feel the need to dial up the charm with her." He said, watching her clean up. He got up and helped her out with the few dishes before they went off to bed and things.
