background: Dao Ái was born in Hanoi, Vietnam. she has two parents and 4 other siblings. at the age of 2 Ái started taking ballet lessons and became what her dance teachers called a dancing prodigy. by time she was 13 Ái had began to watch kpop stars sing, rap, and dance. her favorite groups included JYP, BoA, Fin-KL, and Roo’Ra. Her dream her entire life had been to become a lawyer but now she had a new one; to become a kpop idol. at the age of 15 she was one of the first people to audition for Big Hit entertainment and be accepted. her parents weren’t supportive of her new job and still aren’t she was originally supposed to debut for GLAM but the CEO said he had bigger things planned for her. In 2012 she was offered the chance to be in a G-Dragon Music Video. Finally in 2015 she began training with some other members of her groups. in 2008 A applies for admission into stanford and got in! she got a degree in Human Biology and graduated with honors. in 2012 she applied for admission into harvard law and also got in. she graduated with a degree in criminal justice, was valedictorian, and graduated with honors. sadly in 2014 her parents got a divorce and she went back to Vietnam for a month or two. in 2018 when Kim Jisoo has to give up her spot as an MC of inkigayo Ái took her spot and has been doing it ever since.
