I’ve been asked to upgrade an older version of windows (windows 98) to a newer version (windows xp)
•	Boot into windows 98
•	Insert xp disc
•	Chose “install windows xp” menu option
•	When prompted for installation type, chose “upgrade” and hit next
•	Read and accept EAULA, hit next
•	Inserted CD key
•	Presented with an upgrade report
•	Chose to show hardware issues and limited set of sw issues (recommended option)
•	accepted option to download additional setup files
•	waited for install procedure to complete
•	prompted to begin system setup
