- Hey guys,
- In order to save up for my college year, I will be doing an event called the "Shiru week" (very original name), where I'll be streaming for 8-10 hours a day from July 21 to the 26th. This is similar to a "sellout week" or "sellout stream" that some streamers do, except donations/subs will not have any benefit. Sounds dull, I know, but I've always said that I am fortunate enough to be able to go find a job and stay there for as much as I want as long as I get involved, so I find it unfair to get paid this way.
- That week will be all about grinding for a good time in Pokémon Sapphire. if I meet my goal in the middle of it, we'll go for a 2:29 in Emerald, which is something I'm really excited about, despite being very happy with my current run. I just think that category can go lower and I want to be the first one who meets that time.
- I'm thinking the way this is going to work is as follows: morning stream (CET time): 9 AM to 2 PM, and then 4 PM to 9 PM, with just a break to have food and then be back at it. This may vary depending on whether I am in a run at, say 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. In that case, I'll probably be back at 4:30 PM.
- During this event, there will be a donation goal that will reflect the money I need for a college year: roughly €2,300 ($2,595). By no means do I expect for this goal to be met, so do not feel forced to be generous or anything like that. Nevertheless, every penny will be appreciated.
- Streams will be back on July 16th before this event. So hopefully I see you there. Otherwise fuck you.
- Thank you for your attention,
- Shiru
- PS: If somehow the goal is met I will show my appreciation with another event. I know I said there is literally no benefit to donating, but I don't want to just go away with your money either.
