  1. CANADA CULMINATING
  2. I choose to immigrate to Canada because of Canada’s great medical care system. My daughter Mia has Krabbe disease and so she needs constant medical assistance. In the USA our old home, our medical bills were off the charts. Last year alone 12% of our income was dedicated to helping her and her condition. Here in Canada we can simply head down to the doctor’s office and request treatment for no personal cost. A couple of years ago she needed a bone marrow transplant that cost 800,000 dollars. Our other son Francis also has a hereditary disease named cystic fibrosis that also cost a hefty fee. The reason why our family could not purchase insurance is because our children were born with pre-existing conditions making it virtually impossible to find a provider that cost less than 40 thousand per year for the both of them, so a permanent relocation was an obvious choice.
  3. The second reason is because Diane’s got a job offer at one of the best firms in Canada. She works as a litigator and she was recently admitted to the Canadian Bar Association, and so hiring one of New York’s best lawyer was a no brainer for Bratton-Gould and Associates.
  4. The last reason for our permanent relocation was for our children’s infancy. We believe that downtown New York is not a place for children to grow up in, We felt that the suburbs are far better at supporting their hobbies and their education. Also we believe that New York is far too hostile and environment for children’s formative years, since last year alone 19.84 people commited violent crimes in Manhattan, this is not the environment our children should be spending their young years.
  5. The reason why we choose Winnipeg was for two main reasons, the first is that our surgeon Dr.Athatakis lives in the general area. It is vital that we live nearby to our physician incase one of our children’s hereditary diseases starts to show its symptoms and could pose a threat to their own livelihood
