I hope I can be of help.  I am a chiropractor in California.  When I first started practicing under another chiropractor’s license I noticed some changes in him immediately after he had his amalgam fillings ground down by a dentist in an effort to "calibrate his bite".  Immediately after the procedure done by the dentist the chiropractor looked different to me.   He then started feeling sickly and ill.  He missed several days of work because of the adverse reactions he was experiencing.  When I told the chiropractor that I believed the dental procedures had caused the mercury in the fillings to be released in large quantities and the mercury may be causing his health problems he went back to the dentist.  The dentist removed all of the chiropractor's fillings in one day.  Within just a few days the chiropractor was bedridden.  He was completely paralyzed.

It took several month before the chiropractor was able to start walking again.  When he was finally able to walk his shoulders would dramatically subluxate causing him great pain.  The muscles of the shoulders were unable to keep the shoulder bones in their sockets.  This is one of the signs of mercury toxicity.

To this day the chiropractor has yet to gain full use of his hands.
I truly believe that the effects of the amalgam are very dramatic.  The time frame for these side effects was immediately after the amalgam (mercury) fillings were released from the dental procedures.

I believe that not all people will suffer this type of reaction because everyone is different and it is impossible to predict exactly what reactions and side effects will occur due to mercury exposure.  However, I do believe that the reactions that this chiropractor experienced were due to exposure to the mercury that was in his fillings being released in large quantities from the dental procedures.

The Chiropractor did NOT show ANY paralysis, illness, sickness, signs, symptoms or any neurological disturbance prior to the mercury being released.  I can say this with complete certainty because I saw him on a daily basis as I was working in his clinic Monday through Friday.  I performed neurological testing on him as a part of my normal treatment protocol.  He was evaluated neurologically by me at least once per week for about approximately a  month immediately prior to him having his filling ground down and removed and him becoming paralyzed.

It is well documented in the scientific research literature that mercury is a neuro-toxin and the reactions the chiropractor experienced are related to mercury exposure.

I would assess him as a completely strong, healthy and athletic male prior to the mercury in his fillings being released into his body from the dental procedures.
