Even very generous people wouldn't call Ealda quick at waking up. She had been sleeping curled up on her side, which was better than nothing but not nearly as good as being able to hang upside down from something. First the eyes opened, blinked blearily, and got vigorously rubbed by a tiny hand. Then she yawned, stretching her little body out as far as it could go without actually leaving the darkness beneath the bed. Then she heard the small sounds Mekki made from above as she registered Ealda's waking-up sounds. This startled her, having not remembered anybody coming in between the time she fell asleep and, well, now. Whenever that was.

She poked her head out from under the bed, ears swiveling, and spotted Mekki sitting on one of the bunks. Out from beneath the bed she came, and bounced up to land on that same bed, still yawning.

Red hair, humanoid, cybernetics! Cybernetics were still such a new thing to her that they jolted her sleep-fogged brain into wakefulness faster than almost anything could have done.

First order of business: Learn. "You're crew?" she asked straight off. Then, as an afterthought, "good morning!" Regardless of what time of day it might actually have been.
