- THE GRAND MELEE
- By QuisMagister
- 15-01-2020
- The Grand Melee is a free for all tournament with your soul on the line. The mode is played in various areas/arenas throughout the game.
- A match:
- - The area/arena is specified by the host, this includes out of bound.
- - 3 to 5 phantoms, all able to damage each other.
- - Phantoms must spread out before the start of a match, prismstones can be used as a guide, but is not nessesary due to the precast issue(prismstones can be precast and as such can be invisible for phantoms).
- - A match begins once a random phantom is struck by a dragonslayer great arrow, this damage must be taken as an intended disadvantage.
- - Once the match has begun, its a free for all.
- - The last phantom standing is the winner of the match.
- - If noone is left standing, the house pool gains the souls.
- The Reward system:
- - The winner of a match will recieve the pool of Souls for that match
- - Souls are the points
- - The pool is initially filled with 1 Soul per phantom for that match
- - This means 3 Souls for 3 phantoms, up to 5 Souls for 5 phantoms.
- - The pool of Souls can never go below 1 Soul, and never above 10 Souls.
- - The pool of Souls is only awarded if it clear to whom it belong, otherwise it is added to the House pool.
- - The winner of the final match in an episode, gets the option to give away the house pool to any one phantom besides the current number 1. If the house pool is not given away, it will carry over to the next episode.
- Rooftop areas:
- - are special areas/arenas which are devided into the "roof" and the "ground", specified by the host
- - roof is for fighting and healing
- - ground is for "running as quickly the back to the roof as you fucking can"
- - staying on, healing on, or killing on the ground, or directly attacking people trying to get back on the roof, is considered hollow actions and can result in a penalty of -2 souls to the match pool, regardless of who does it.
- Theme rules:
- - A theme is a abitrary set of conditions meant to challenge the player, these a specified by the host, and suggestions for themes are welcome.
- - If a theme is active for an episode, forfilling the theme requirements grants 1 extra souls if you win.
- - if all phantoms forfil the theme requirements throughotu an entire match, the initial pool of souls is doubled, granting 10 souls to the winner.
- - proximo's wisdom(start at 2.14): https://youtu.be/8xeCBPRmF4Y?t=134
- Going hollow:
- - The name of the game is: Collective Pusnihsment
- - If a player "goes hollow" the current match pool will decreased by 1 soul.
- - Beware, repeated "hollow actions" by the same phantom will decreased the current match pool by 1 soul, solong as its not already at 1 soul.
- - "going hollow" or performing "hollow actions" can be quite arbitrary. - But a few general guidelines on what NOT to do:
- - attacking/killing the host
- - runing out of bounds extensively
- - attacking other phantoms before a match begins
- - etc.
- Phantoms are highly encouraged to:
- - Use a character/name, which is easy to recognise.
- - Be creative about getting the most Souls.
- - Use anything in game that might give you an edge(yes even twop).
- - Be wary of how much you piss off your fellow phantoms.
- - Gank/teamup on the cocky/good phantoms(But remember, its a free for all after all).
- - Heal, its allowed, and semi needed due to the chaos.
- - Not being passive, any player found to be too passive will get shot, as if poking a dead body with a stick to check for life.
- Additional info:
- - Host is level 111, welcome to "meme tier 2".
- - Password is "melee".
- - If you wanna join, just drop your red sign.
- - Using inf heal, spells, or otherwise, is not recomended, as doing so simply drags out a match and thus is an inefficient method to getting the most Souls.
